Emily McMullen is a Visiting Senior Research Fellow in Conflict and Health Insecurity at King's College London, in England, United Kingdom.
A qualified physiotherapist, she has worked at the frontline of crisis and recovery in settings including Gaza, the West Bank, and Afghanistan, advising national governments, United Nations agencies, and international institutions on health systems strengthening across policy, technology, and rehabilitation. She has contributed to major global guidance, including the WHO Red Book, burns and limb reconstruction standards, and the Imperial Paediatric Blast Injury Manual. Her doctoral research at King's College London examines how technological innovation can strengthen healthcare systems and rehabilitation care pathways for communities affected by conflict and state fragility.
