Über den Vortrag

Der Vortrag „Transcriptional Control “ von Georgina Cornwall, PhD ist Bestandteil des Kurses „Gene Regulation“.

Quiz zum Vortrag

  1. Multiple transcription factors
  2. RNA polymerase II
  3. Transcription-associated factors (TAFs)
  4. Activator proteins
  5. Enhancer regions
  1. DNA looping orients the transcription factor closer to the promoter to initiate gene transcription.
  2. The transcription factor transcribes small RNAs that then bind to the promoter and activate gene expression.
  3. Signals originate via inducers from the transcription factor to the site of promotion, activating gene transcription.
  4. RNA looping moves the transcription factor closer to the promoter.
  5. Transcription factors denature and loop back to the promoter to initiate transcription.
  1. It can be located away from the gene, upstream or downstream from the starting point of transcription.
  2. It is a cis-acting region of nucleic acids composed of 50–1500 base pairs.
  3. It is a part of the core promoter region composed of -35 and -10 elements.
  4. It is a part of the promoter region, where RNA pol starts to unwind the DNA duplex.
  5. It is a part of a polycistronic gene where a repressor attaches.
