Dr. med. Hans Garten

Following graduation as a medical anesthesiologist in 1986, Dr. Garten achieved post graduate degrees in acupuncture, chirotherapy and naturopathic medicine.
Since 1992 he is a Diplomate of the International Board of Applied Kinesiology, DIBAK (official instructor of the International College of Applied Kinesiology).
2003 he was certified Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board (rehabilitative neurology, DACNB).
2005 Diploma in Medical Osteopathy (DAAO).
Throughout the years his practice has focused on the treatment of chronic, painful disease, non-invasive orthopedics, clinical ecology and neurological rehabilitation where he has combined applied kinesiology, manual medicine, acupuncture, and other naturopathic protocols to obtain the best outcomes for his patients.
He is the founder and first president of the German Medical Society for Applied Kinesiology (DÄGAK). His international teaching activities include teaching Applied Kinesiology, functional neurology and acupuncture, and he is alecturer at the Medical University of Innsbruck. He has published five medical textbooks, among those the "The Muscle Testing Handbook" (Churchill-Livingstone). He also has authored numerous articles on topics in manual medicine, applied kinesiology and acupuncture.

Als Facharzt für Anästhesie führt Dr. med. Hans Garten die Zusatzbezeichnungen Akupunktur, Chirotherapie und Naturheilverfahren. Er erwarb diplomierte Ausbildungs- und Studienabschlüsse am International College of Applied Kinesiology (DIBAK) vom American ChiropracticNeurology Board (Rehabilitative Neurologie, DACNB), sowie einen Abschluss in ärztlicher Osteopathie (DAAO). Dr. Garten ist Gründer der Deutschen Ärztegesellschaft für Applied Kinesiology.
Schon sehr früh in seiner ärztlichen Laufbahn formten sich als Schwerpunkte seiner Praxistätigkeit die Schmerztherapie, die Manuelle Medizin, die Klinische Ökologie und Neurologische Rehabilitation aus.
Er genießt als Dozent für Applied Kinesiology, Funktionelle Neurologie und Akupunktur international große Anerkennung, er ist Dozent der Medizinischen Universität Innsbruck.
Dr. Hans Garten hat zahlreiche Artikel zur Manualmedizin, funktionellen Neurologie und Akupunktur veröffentlicht und ist Autor von mehreren Lehrbüchern. Zu diesen zählt u.a. Dr. Joseph Shafer

Dr. Joseph Shafer has practiced as a Chiropractic Physician since his graduation from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1980. He moved to Denmark where he had a private practice, but continued post-graduate studies in Applied Kinesiology, Nutrition and Sports Medicine.
He is certified as a sports medicine specialist and became a Diplomate in Applied Kinesiology (DIBAK) in 1991. Since obtaining his DIBAK, he has taught muscle testing diagnostics throughout the world and continues to do so to this day. His teachings have brought him to Russia, where he was given an assistant professorship (HON) in 1998 and full-professorship status in post-graduate medicine in 2004. He was also guest editor of Hans Garten's English-language book, “The Muscle Testing Handbook”.

Dr. Joseph Shafer praktiziert als Chiropraktor seit seinem Abschluss am Palmer College of Chiropractic im Jahr 1980. Er zog nach Dänemark, wo er eine Privatpraxis führte, aber auch Aufbaustudien in Applied Kinesiology, Ernährung und Sportmedizin absolvierte.
Er ist zertifiziert in Sportmedizin und erwarb 1991 den Diplomate-Status des International College of Applied Kinesiology (DIBAK). Seit der Erlangung des DIBAK unterrichtet er bis heute weltweit Funktionelle Myodiagnostik (Applied Kinesiology). Seine Lehrtätigkeit führte ihn nach Russland, wo er 1998 eine Assistenzprofessur (HON) und 2004 eine Vollprofessur für postgraduelle Medizin erhielt. Er war auch Gastherausgeber von Hans Gartens englischsprachigem Buch "The Muscle Testing Handbook".

Dr. phil. Dr. scient. med. Damir del Monte initially studied psychology at the Universities of Hanover and Cologne. His research focussed on psychotraumatology and learning research and was carried out at the Institute for Clinical Psychology at the University of Cologne under Prof. Gottfried Fischer. In addition to scientific work, clinical training in psycho- and body-therapeutic methods (causal psychotherapy according to Fischer, MPTT, EMDR, Brainspotting, sports therapy), as well as specialisation in psychotrauma and pain therapy follow.

This was followed by studies in medical science at the University of Heidelberg and the Paracelsus Medical Private University in Salzburg. Dr. Dr. del Monte works as a scientist at the Institute for Synergetics and Psychotherapy Research at the PMU Salzburg (headed by Prof. Schiepek) in the field of "Neuroscientific Therapy and Depression Research". As a lecturer for "Functional Neuroanatomy" and "Neurobiology of Psychotherapy" he holds teaching positions at various universities in Germany, Austria and Slovenia. Studium und Promotion absolviert Dr. phil. Dr. scient. med. Damir del Monte zunächst im Fach Psychologie an den Universitäten Hannover und Köln. Die Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen dabei in den Bereichen Psychotraumatologie- und Lernforschung und finden am Institut für Klinische Psychologie der Universität zu Köln bei Prof. Gottfried Fischer ihre Umsetzung. Neben der wissenschaftlichen Tätigkeit erfolgen klinische Ausbildungen in psycho- und körpertherapeutischen Verfahren (Kausale Psychotherapie nach Fischer, MPTT, EMDR, Brainspotting, Sporttherapie), sowie Spezialisierungen in der Psychotrauma- und Schmerztherapie.

Es folgt ein Studium der Medizin-Wissenschaft an der Universität Heidelberg und der Paracelsus Medizinischen Privatuniversität Salzburg.
