Über den Vortrag

Der Vortrag „Frameshift Mutations“ von Georgina Cornwall, PhD ist Bestandteil des Kurses „DNA Repair & Genetic Mutations“.

Quiz zum Vortrag

  1. An insertion or deletion of a base pair that alters how each codon is read after that insertion or deletion
  2. A mutation of a base pair that does not affect a codon
  3. A mutation that only affects one codon in the DNA sequence
  4. A repeat of the same three nucleotides in a gene
  5. A part of the chromosome that gets moved from one region of the chromosome to another
  1. Huntington disease is an example of codon reiteration disorder with two trinucleotide repeats.
  2. Trinucleotide repeat expansions of genes lead to triplet repeat expansion disorders.
  3. The expanded CAG repeats lead to the development of Huntington disease.
  4. Expanding triplet repeats usually expand over the lifetime, which might be associated with disease progression.
  5. Triplet repeat expansion mutations can occur in both coding and noncoding regions of DNA.
