Michael Erdek, MD, MA
Dr. Michael Erdek is Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine and the Director of Pain Medicine for the R.J. Zuckerberg Cancer Center at Northwell Health in New York.
Dr. Erdek received his MD from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991 and his MA in Moral Philosophy from St. Mary’s University in 2018. He trained in Surgery and in Anesthesiology prior to completing his subspecialty training in Pain Medicine and then Critical Care Medicine at The Johns Hopkins University. Being an Associate Professor at the Berman Institute of Bioethics for 5 years, he is particularly interested in the provision of palliative care and the ethics of the safe treatment of pain.
Within Lecturio, Dr. Erdek teaches Clinical Ethics.
