Jill Beavers-Kirby has gathered vast experience in the medical field and is currently working full-time with adults who have lymphoma and leukaemia. She teaches part-time, too.

Jill Beavers-Kirby received an ADN from Wytheville Community College in Wytheville, VA. Moreover, she received a BSN Online from the University of Phoenix, a Master of Science Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Wright State University and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the Ohio State University in 2011.

 Joseph Alpert, MD

Joseph Alpert, MD

Dr. Alpert is Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine and Director of Coronary Care and Medical Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation at the University of Arizona (UA) College of Medicine, Tucson, United States.

Before joining the UA, he worked at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester as Professor of Medicine, Director of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, and Vice Chairman of Medicine. From 1992 – 2006 he was also Chairman of the Department of Medicine at the UA College of Medicine.

 Paul Moss, PhD

Paul Moss, PhD

Prof. Paul Moss is Professor of Haematology and Head of the School of Cancer Sciences at the University of Birmingham. He studied Medical Sciences at the University of Cambridge and later on was a fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists.
Professor Moss makes substantial contributions to teaching at many levels, both within the University of Birmingham and beyond.
His research is primarily focused on Cancer Cell Biology, Clinical Trials and Tumour Immunology.

 Jeremy Brown, PhD

Jeremy Brown, PhD

Professor Jeremy Brown is a clinician scientist with an interest in respiratory infection. He studied medicine in London, graduating with honors, and continued his postgraduate medical training in a variety of London hospitals.
He completed his PhD in molecular microbiology in 1999 and obtained a prestigious Welcome Advanced Research Fellowship for further scientific training at the University of Adelaide. His research is mainly focused on respiratory complications of haematological disease and stem cell transplantation.
His educational and scientific experience enables him to teach students and professionals about respiratory medicine.

 Brian Warriner, MD

Brian Warriner, MD

Dr. Brian Warriner has been an active clinician and teacher in the UBC Faculty of Medicine and has published in the anesthesia and medical literature. He received his MD from UBC and – in 2009 – the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society Clinical Practitioner Award. Additionally, he was the Head of the UBC Department of Anesthesia from January 2002 until 2005 and the merged Department of Anesthesiology, Pharmacology and Therapeutics, UBC Faculty of Medicine.

He has traveled to Uganda in the last 5 years, volunteering and helping in the operating room at Mulago Hospital and with the medical teaching at Makerere University. Currently he operates as a health system accreditor/surveyor for Accreditation Canada.

Dr. Warriner’s research has been focused on the use of blood substitutes in surgical patients, the value of pre-operative beta blockers, the reversal of muscle relaxants and the prevention of post-operative nausea and vomiting.

Jessica Reuter

Jessica Reuter has gathered experience in several areas of nursing, including telemetry, cardiac step-down, diabetes, perioperative as well as nursing education. She works as a clinical instructor for senior nursing students transitioning into professional practice and is an educator in the RN-BSN online program as well as coordinator of the operating room elective at The Ohio State University College of Nursing.

She is associated with the faculty at The Ohio State University, received the BSN from Kent State University and the MSN in Nursing Administration from Otterbein University.

 Kristine Pfendt

Kristine Pfendt

Kristine Pfendt, R.N., M.S.N. is an associate professor and has been awarded tenure status at Northern Kentucky University. She has been in nursing education since 1978 and was a tenured instructor at the College of DuPage in Illinois prior to moving to the northern Kentucky area in 1984.

She has also worked at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center as an education specialist during her career. Kristine Pfendt holds a masters of science degree in medical surgical nursing from Northern Illinois University.

She is currently the Director of the Nurse Advocacy Center for the Underserved at N.K.U . the coordinator of continuing education for nursing, and the chairperson of the Reappointment, Promotion and Tenure Committee for the Department of Nursing in addition to her other responsibilities.

Joanna Jackson is a Medical Compliance Manager who works as an independet contractor. She is responsible for for federal, state and local regulations for clinics. She amongst other things develops and implements policies that conform to current standards of nursing.

In the past Jackson has worked as Clinical Manager in the Psychiatry and as a Regional Nursing Supervisor. After completing her studies at Miami Valley Career Technology Center, where she was an Honor Roll student, she was a finalist in the Health Knowledge Bowl Regional Contest.

Diana Shenefield, PhD

Diana Shenefield works at the Assistant Nursing Faculty at the Huntington University in Indiana. Her work includes teaching fundamental skills in nursing, pathophysiology and pharmacology.
She has got a PhD in Nursing Education which she got in 2012 at the Capella University in Minnesota.
Shenefield can look back on years of experience in the medical care sector. She is also a member of certain nursing associations like the National League of Nurses and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.

Anne Vanderputten works as a Clinical Manager at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Ohio since 1994. Before that, she has worked at several other medical centers and has been part of medical committees. Twelve years’ experience as house supervisor in a trauma center and thirteen years of experience as a registered nurse in the acute care setting enable her to pass on quality knowledge to nursing and medical care students.
After completing her Associate of Science in Nursing in 1986, she also received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013. Anne Vanderputten has also obtained many certifications such as the FEMA, the ACLS and the EKG Interpretation Certificate.

Vincent Racaniello is a Higgins Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at Columbia University in New York. He has received several awards, including the Irma T. Hirschl, Searle Scholars, Eli Lilly, and NIH Merit. Professor Racaniello firmly believes in the power of the internet as a scientific tool, and works on several platforms to share his vast knowledge in virology.
