Dr. Alverson along with Dr. Raj are the reason I joined Lecturio. Together, they got me covered in pediatric and adults. I like it because it's so clear and comprehensive and watching the lectures taught by best rank US teachers makes you feel you won't miss anything you should know,but in my country(Iran) the reference text book for pediatric in medical school is Nelson Essentials of Pediatrics, 8th edition, and i think lecturio is a bit different from it,what's your reference?

If we compare his lectures with others’, we can find that as if there is a text in front of him and he read it simply. With all respect, his accent is not very comprehensive or I am not familiar with it. I have to read the subtitles to understand what he said. Secondly, there is not any exam question type or cases. If he explained the topics through some developing questions, I think it was better.

I understand the comment of the previous student. However, I think the goal of these lectures is to give the appropriate knowledge to use as a resident. It's not really important to know more details about it. When a patient has a tachycardia, it's important to know if it's physiologic or pathologic and the cause of it. So the lecture helps to determine the physical origin which helps to point to the cause. Thank you!

These are the best explanations regarding bradycardia that I heard of. I would have liked to hear more about other drugs that could cause bradycardia though. That being said, I think that now I cannot forget the different blocks. So thank you very much! Also cool that the case of neonatal bradycardia is talked about.

It's the first time I hear that epilepsy is an exclusion diagnosis but it makes sense. It's better clinical reasoning in this way.

Very good lecture. This allowed me to transfer my knowledge from the adult medicine to pediatrics regarding PE. However, I would have liked more info regarding the link with DVT and the clinical aspects of PE in children like clinical cases maybe and also a part about management. That being said I do understand it is not a typical pediatrics disease as it can be in adult medicine.

It's brief, concise and Dr. Alverson clearly explains the benefits of breastfeeding as well as give some problems to be aware of. Another thing that I liked was that he highlights the role skin to skin bond and the importance to start breast feeding as soon as possible even if the mother doesn't have much milk in the first hours.

To Gain A Better understanding of Pediatric Pulmonology. Very easy to understand.

Tons of mistakes in what seems to be all fields of Lecturio videos. It's a shame really. This one in particular goes on about the "virus" H. Influenzae. It's just tons of basic stuff that they really mess up. I wouldn't even use this as a free resource honestly.

Despite that Dr. Raj inaccurately recognized H. influenzae as a virus (which is actually a G(-) bacterium), he did a good job of engaging students in thinking and reflecting, while pointing out a general memory-aiding scheme ( e.g. common skin flora species being implicated in post-neurosurgery/penetrating trauma/CSF-associated meningitides) Having watched many of Dr Raj's videos (a med-student with high standards myself and always hateful of lackadaisical teaching styles of the MAJORITY of professors in my country), I have to say Dr. Raj exhibits excellent "mentor" qualities in a style of his own.

Confusing, difficult to understand (too many synonymous names)- its difficult to comprehend what its meant with orthodromic etc.

Lectures on this topic was clear and complete! I like how he highlights the important notes for exams

Everything is so well explained, he takes the time to put in his 2 cents from his own experience and highlights the high yield points for the exams. Not to mention any time I've asked a question, I've got an answer the very next day

Dr Pei talkes is a good speaker. I enjoy his lectures. You talk very clear and not to fast. Great to listening to.

These videos get in the point, summarize what are the important things to know in each topic for the test, and help me not to be saturated with all the information in the book.

First of all, love the option to choose the speed of the video clip. Secondly, it was smartly taught, no matter which type you are, from visual to auditory-learner, you are going to understand and learn it easily. I also loved Dr. Fisher's (the lecturer) teaching style, brief description for medical terms, mentioning important DDx, plus his tone and not having specific accent.

Very concise, highlighted important concepts, easy to understand and remember. Good visual presentation, and good control of the length of each topic, not too lengthy. I also like that each topic finishes with some questions to help grasping take home messages

The approach to pediatric neurology here was quite easy to understand and the topic reviews helped a lot.

It is very usefull and interesting course for pediatricians and students.

I expected the pulmonary aspergillosis in brief too. However , there is concise pulmonary infection lecture.

overall lectures are worthy and nice. it would have been better if more tools,photos and graphs is added.

i put this rate because it was really complite and in a vocabulary really simple, easy to undertant. i also like the questions durring the class it help us to remember and practice the information.
