I loved Dr Delves lectures! I find them incredibly easy to follow, very clear… he uses his voice to empathize important points, uses fun analogies, sometimes, to explain concepts. What I personally “disliked” is that since I am using his lectures to study for Step 1, it makes me wonder if I really need to know all the details presented in his lectures. It is very interesting and all, but I am pressed for time! I would looove a final summary saying, “this is what you HAVE to know for your exam”. I think doing the quiz questions have helped me extract the most important points in some of the lectures that were so full of “letters and numbers”. But overall, his lectures have made immunology so much more friendly and even amusing!

Not much needs to be said, the presentation speaks for itself! Watch for yourself and you'll see how informative this is! The Genetic recombination of B-cells' antibodies and receptors was so hard for me to understand, and all it took was one video (less than 10 minutes) to understand the concept fully. hard to understand this lecture. I also don't understand why lecturio makes it so hard to give a rating. Why can't you just accept a few words? Why do I have to type at least 10 words AND give a heading? If I have to write a short letter every time I give a rating, it just means you don't want people to give you a rating.

In general, I find the lectures provided in Lecture to be of exceptional quality. This one is not only below that standard, but, for me, it fails entirely as an instructive tool especially in regard to the discussion around the first figure. Basic principles to convey information are missing, and when combined together make for a frustrating experience where little to no information is really conveyed. 1. The labels are indicated only as the lecturer speaks. The slide never shows the labels at one time only. (I understand the lecturer wishes to flag the information he is talking about. This could just as easily been done with a figure that shows all of the labels but uses color or boldness to draw our attention to the item under discussion. Better yet, in lieu of highlighting the label, highlighting the actual anatomical item is even more effective). 2. The labels are not adjacent to each other so that the reader looses a visual relation. This is a circular structure with consistent layering, yet the labels jump from side to side for no reason. This is not only distracting but prevents us viewers from easily following the structure along with the discussion. 3. There is no rhyme or reason to the coloring. Connective tissue and muscle are both pink and yellow. This makes it impossible for the viewer to quickly appreciate the structures. Frankly, from this lecture, I have no clue what is where in terms of the layer of the esophagus and the location of each plexus. I ask each of you at Lecturio who are reading this review to see if you are able to grasp this information after reviewing this lecture. In addition to fixing this lecture, it is my hope to hear from Lecturio as to whether the company has in place an editorial team to ensure that basic principals to successfully convey information, as has been done in this lecture, are never missed. After all, we students are paying for a professional service to help educate us, not waste our time. Thank you for your consideration.

Dr Peter Delves is a very good teacher. The way he organizes his lecture is perfect and animated slides are really helpful for us, visual learner. There are 2 things that application user interface can be improved. 1) finding back one’s own notes is difficult and inconvenient 2) should have email notification or in-app notification when lecturers replied to students’ questions in Q&A box.

My university study curriculum for immunology is quite packed with details regarding the adaptative immune system, and not only. Thus, it was a true blessing to get to understand the bigger picture first with the help of these lectures, so that I will further add the details required.

These lectures on the gastrointestinal histology were more than helpful to me, as they came in handy for, firstly, comprehending the overall picture and, secondly, for taking note on the details (such as the types of cells that make the gastric glands or the intestinal glands)

As Usual superb , immunology is a tough subject, but you made it easy.

When you touched on leukocyte migration, you began at the stage of "adhesion" when many medical students should include the first two steps before this. It should include Margination, where leukocytes follow lamina flow while being pushed by erythrocytes onto the barriers of the endothelial cells, then rolling, where selectin proteins are adhesion molecules which weakly attach onto these leukocytes causing them to "roll" .... and then do i believe you should be able to talk about the adhesion and transmigration parts. This block is infectious disease, and requires building on the foundation of immunology--so I need to rebuild my foudation :p After watched just 3-4 of the Lecturio videos, I immensely regret not using it earlier. I used to think Dr. Raj was far and away the greatest medical educator alive. I didn't even watch anyone else. I used Lecturio just for Dr. Raj's videos. Dr. Raj is funnier, and perhaps more memorable. However, Dr. Shulke presents the same level of clear, concise explanations, the kind that only come from the mind of a master who has internalized the material to the point of making it look easy. I love the part where Dr. Shulke boldly calls prednisone a clumsy tool for incompetent practioners. That is with me forever. I feel bad for my classmates struggling through our professors' awkward lectures. .

For many years, I have read lots of textbooks and lots of lecture slides to learn immunology but it was always confusing and none of them knows how to begin immunology. I really liked this course. The content is very interesting and I especially liked the analogies made between real human battles and the immune system and its soldiers. However, I resorted to these online lectures because I felt I was lacking a bit of guidance on this topic. Books are good but they do not follow a specific order and from my point of view, it makes it easier to understand if things are organized the way they happen inside the body upon an antigen encounter - which I still couldn't fully find here. I'm still a bit confused with how things are triggered and what happens before what, etc... But overall the explanations are amazing, and the graphic content is awesome.

Dr Meyer did a great job summarizing the major histological divisions of the GI tract. The lecture was clear and concise and really cleared up some confusion I was having.

It seems superficial. Why do I care about flow rates? How do the hormones interact? This whole course was just segmented and surface level. Lecturio has the potential to replace a lot of medical schools if they start to connect information rather than segmenting it.

The Anatomy Portion of this course was great. It really prepared me for my school course. The GI Physiology seemed pretty superficial and left me wanting to know more. Even the questions after the videos seemed like they expected the Lectures to have gone more into depth.

Incomplete information. I'm fascinated with the fact-based approach to the biochemistry of the human body. I like learning about the role that nutrition plays in disease prevention and the overall affects on human health. However, this course appears to still support the outdated views on proper nutrition and nutrition-related disease prevention. I feel that physicians do not get sufficient quality education on nutrition and that corporate interests still play too much of a role in both nutrition studies and nutritional recommendations. Today's healthcare system is more of a "disease care" system, and this profit-centered business approach, specifically with Pharmaceuticals, is doing little good, and in fact, doing a disservice to the overall welfare of the American people.

A very concise lecture but too much so. I was really hoping to learn more about mechanisms and detail. For example, there was no detail provided about the mechanisms involved with how vascular permeability increases. There was no explanation for what cells produce bradykinin and how this causes vasodilation. This was not advanced enough for medical school.

good lecture- lost a star because illustrations are in latin. I do appreciate latin is completely acceptable to use in the context of anatomy, but in practice nobody uses latin terms and it feels outdated and counter-productive to learn the latin nomenclature. It would be much easier to follow if everything was in english ; a small point but it did slow me down when following this lecture.

I like the calm tone of the instructor. The information is presented in such a way that is it easy to understand. It is taught in small chunks and then the chunks are gently stacked on each other until you see the entire picture. Great presentation. Cleverly taught.

Why am I rating this lecture at all? I had to pause a video just to wrote this review because I was just so grateful that it was broken down so well with the schematic diagram. I was feeling overwhelmed with the amount of information in the blood supply and wondering if there was a way i can get it down quickly and have the concept clear in my mind. I would say he is one of the best lecturers. His knowledge is absolutely amazing. Everything has been explained so well which I could not find in any texbooks. For example, the function of dendritic cells and it relates to T-cells made me so excited to follow and do not want to stop watching.

Professor Dr. Delves made the classes enjoyable because he made everything simple to understand. Immunology in my opinion is extremely intricate, if you lose focus you get lost. The lectures are very complete and give the correct amount of emphasis according to the importance for the medical world. I've studied only using this course for my first exam and it was pretty much all I needed! I surely recommend!

Covers B vitamins and Fat soluble. Pretty good. Lacks Certain vitamins: Zinc, Fe etc. Loved the nAKED mnemonic!

I'm enjoying Lecturio, the videos and follow up questions are ideal way to learn, the speakers excellent. I've spent many hours on You Tube hoping to fine something like this. I also saw Lecturio, is on You Tube and have subscribed yesterday having watched the Nutrition video and Biochemistry, also bought some eBooks that was mentioned in biography that I'm sure I will also enjoy. it is made simple, clear and easy to understand regardless the details need to be learned. this is the correct pedagogic way to teach and to learn. This is one of the things that shows that the teacher is a PhD. I wish those lectures were translated in french and that all medical students in my university benefit from it and also every medical student all over the world. Thanks for teaching us and for spreading the knowledge and make things easy for us.

Very comprehensive discussion. It would have been worthwhile to talk about criteria for starting treatment for chronic Hep B (e.g DNA count vs symptoms and livers functions). Also unclear if treatment of HepB is curative. The hepatitis talks did not mention genotypes of Hep C at all which is important for treating the condition, particularly in countries where access to direct acting antivirals is not available. Finally the talks didn't mention what percentage of patients with chronic Hep B and C go on to develop cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.

Good coverage but can be improved further. I would have liked to also see a talk on the parasitic causes of diarrhoe and management of those. Also not sure how we would go about dx salmonella. Wasn't very clearly stated in the lecture

this kind of learning cover all information the medical students need, i highly recommended for medical student.

I love these courses. I'm only a high school student, preparing to go to medical university. They help me to better understand biology or to be exact, human body. My mother tongue is not English which makes a little bit difficult to understand names in biology for example why T-cells called T-cells. Furthermore what I miss from the lectures are animations sometimes. I know I'm a kid, but animations help to visualize and learn things faster.

This is my favorite professor on Lecture (that I've seen so far). He is enthusiastic and engaging in addition to being clear and concise. I leave each lecture with a clear sense of the material and I love that the videos are short so if I need a review it is easily obtained.

Short and informative and clear and easy-to-digest and reconsolidation of information takes a shorter time and stays for a longer time compared to huge lectures

Immunology was one subject that I have hated since the very beginning I started studying it. I did understand what the immune system does but I really couldn't understand how everything was happening. After many unsuccessful attempts to understand it on my own I turned to these lectures and now I understand the core material. Thank you very much!

Great content but overwhelming. Too much details on the receptors and molecules got me lost in understanding the overall immune response. I appreciate the enthusiasm in detailing everything but the USMLE is devised to evaluate generalists and not immunologists.

From what I understand, we advise patients taking Coumdain to AVOID eating vitamin K rich foods because it will counteract the effect of the drug.

The lectures are really well organized The 1-2mins introductory lectures before each topic are very helpful in situating the student in case he get lost. The Diagrams are very well picked.

In this Nutrition course, Dr. Cornwall elaborates some basic nutritional principles that are essential for any student of Human physiology to understand. The way she presents the information is in much greater detail than what I was exposed to in the small Nutrition course held in Medical school. I particularly liked learning about the Mifflin-St. Jeor Formula for calculating Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR); it literally changed the way I look at food!

The program was to elementary in nature and not deep enough. Sections on pregnancy nutrition was very superficial

The videos are good! I love how short the immunology videos are because they're broken into segments. I do however miss the review articles, like in biochemistry.

Nothing more i can say than excellent presentations. Every thing is just perfect.

I thought this was an excellent lecture in order to see the relationship between immune cells, their signals, and the corresponding responses from other immune cell types. It brings cytokines that could have been described in the earlier lectures but also fit here with the discussion of signaling.

I found these lectures decent, the questions do a good job at reinforcing the material so more questions after each video would be an improvement. Definitely a large topic and its not organized the way my school taught it but it doesn't assume you know or remember everything which is good. I would recommend for the summer before year 2. You could study during commercial breaks while watching tv.

The lecture was a bit of an overview of innate immunity. It was short and fails to cover the epithelial barrier, complement inhibitors, details of TLRs, cytokines, and signal 2 pathways. Still not bad for 40 minutes

Great course, well detailed explanations! I think it's a very didactic course!

Considering this is a generic overview of the immune system its nice and condensed. It doesn't bite off more than you can chew in the first 45 minutes like a medical school overview can. Some clinical touchstones could round out the material and make it great.

He is a super lecturer; the content, however, could be more challenging and in depth. We need more direct applications clinically described.

Used for the study in chiropractic school, need a quiz for review the material that is learned by the videos.

Professor Delves has done a great job with this course. I am currently in medical school and while my Immunology professor is very intelligent she is very unorganized and gives poor explanations. This course is the perfect supplement.

Everything is very well explained. Dr Delves links back to basics when explaining the more advanced topics, which makes the lectures easier to follow. His enthusiasm is also much appreciated.
