Air of superiority without the demonstration of superior knowledge
von John M. am 14. Januar 2021 für Hypertension Diagnosis: Three Checks
The content is mediocre and he patronizes the listener; if he cut out the condescension and focused on teaching it could be improved. I see why they add some talk over portions with another speaker.

Integration of basic knowledge and understanding
von Barbara E J. am 09. Januar 2021 für Arrhythmias
Whereas I was at first put off a bit by Dr. Raj's style of teaching, I became more and more appreciative of his pedagogic method, soliciting and emphasizing the integration of basic physiology, pharmacology and anatomy in understanding and treating (the pathology underlying) clinical syndromes (of the multiple organ systems). Indeed, the process becomes very stimulating and ultimately satisfying as one becomes able to retrieve and integrate all the basic knowledge in solving clinical diagnosis and treatment.

Dr Raj Thank you! Hypertension is nice!
von OKWIR A. am 25. Dezember 2020 für Hypertension
I have really been enjoying Hypertension course, in particular the Pathophys!
It has been answering my previous dilemmas in the topic. For example, this 49 yo male diagnosed with HTN 2 yrs ago, previously had no chronic illness, was screened negative for Diabetes. His GP initiated him on Captopril and Bendrofluethiazide , now currently on Captopril 25 mg BD and Bendrofluethiazide 5mg, but his average BP has ever been around 152/100 mmHg. He has been struggling with weight control (BMI 31 or slightly above). I have been contemplating it is not a good control, and 2 days ago he called me complaining of visual impairment both eyes! Now I am thinking of Secondary HTN with Atherosclerosis as a Differential , oh again and a need for complete eye exam including Fondoscopy, again thinking ECG, Lipid panel and Renal Function test would be beneficial!. He have never done these tests because of affordability issue. ALL THE THOUGHT ABOVE COMES FROM MY CURRENT HYPERTENSION COURSE. BUT MOSTLY AN OPPORTUNITY OF FREE ACCESS TO PREMIUM CONTENT! HOW I PRAY GOD HELP ME SO THAT I PAY BACK TO MY COMMUNITY! I forever grateful please,
Receive my kind and warm regards this Special day!

Hello. I just want to share my thought on this lecture series. These lecture series are so excellent that as a student we have the capacity to control the phase of the video, and secondly doctor Thad Wilson explain this concepts so clearly that I find it very useful along side my course in MBBS. I like the Thad Wilson teaches. He is a great teacher. The content of the slides a also excellent because students can easily follow the short best outline.
Thank you doctor Thad Wilson, and the lecturio staffs for the this help.

Conversational, illustrative and easy to remember
von Laura G. am 29. November 2020 für Hyperlipidemia
Dr. Raj uses a conversational and repetitive lecture style that really helped me actually be able to learn and recall the material. I suppose some people may not like this taking a bit longer, but considering the fact that I was able to remember and learn the entire mechanism and pathology in around 20 minutes I think this style works well for long-term learning.

Dr. Raj's teaching method
von keivan t. am 04. Oktober 2020 für Hypertension: Endocrine & Cardiovascular Causes
I do not have a major problem with the material he teaches, although sometimes he just points out to the facts and skips explanations. My major issue is with the overall demeanor of Dr. Raj while he is teaching. He tries to come across as someone cool and the George Clooney of the lecturio and it's very annoying and distracting. At least for me. For those who haven't noticed, look at his facial expression when delivering a lecture. I wish he would just lecture plane and simple without resorting to " hey you know I'm cool, right?". I try not to look at him and just stare at the slides to minimize this effect.
Review and Suggestions
von Elle W. am 04. Oktober 2020 für Valvular Heart Disease
The lectures here are very easy to understand. I use these lectures to supplement my studies. 4 stars because I do feel that more questions should be added, even incorporating the use of logic not only just recall, should be considered as well. It would also be better if a summary table differentiating the different valvular diseases is provided but I can do that myself while taking down notes. I do find Dr Raj's humor entertaining. Thank you for this.

von Francisco Javier S. am 01. Mai 2020 für Glomerulonephritis
The explanations are very good and concise. Nonetheless, specially in these topics, we need to see more images, there are a lot of glomerular damage patterns even for the same disease (e.g. FSGN) and I do not think there were enough images to learn them. Also, a pointer is needed, Dr. Raj described numerous glomerular lesions and sometimes it was difficult to follow his descriptions as he didn’t have a pointer to help him locate those lesions.
Even with these problems I really liked how Dr. Raj really emphasized the diseases patterns and reminded them almost in every video (E.g. SubEPIthelial in PSGN).

Great lecture as always, but could be improved with more depth into the morphology of how the QRS complexes can be either narrow or wide depending on the site of the block.
Could also be improved through:
- A list of specific symptoms a patient with the condition would experience
- ECG interpretation in the quiz section

Review on Respiratory Physiology
von Surendra S. am 09. Dezember 2019 für Respiratory Physiology
The reason I chose a 4 star rating was because the lectures were amazing and wonderful but I do feel there is room for improvement.
I feel in this section, the slides could have contained more information when possible to download and I personally feel that slides was the downfall in this section from preventing the full 5 star rating. I feel the slides could use an improvement and expand on more details.
I also believe that the lecturer could have expanded on some concepts a bit more to provide more understanding by providing more examples and various other techniques.
The length of the videos were amazing, the way in which the lecturer spoke was captivating and caught my attention and I most certainly enjoyed the lectures and I did learn alot that I never caught in class before.
I do urge that the slides do get an improvement by adding certain figures and more concepts especially for us to download. I think it would help alot.

ECG needs work
von Simarbeer S. am 06. August 2019 für Cardiac Physiology
I checked the entire ECG / EKG lectures and they confused me more than they helped.
The article 7 steps was a good start in my opinion but a video lecture of someone walking me through the steps would be better.
The lectures don't cover how one should go about reading the ECG and what to infer from the data provided.
This would come in handy to read them not just for the step exams but the clinical rotations as well so maybe add or change them up.
ECG in Boards and Beyond could be looked at as good example for that in my opinion.

My regards concerning the Respiratory Physiology course
von David W. am 19. Juli 2019 für Respiratory Physiology
I have really enjoyed the course because Prof. Thad Wilson explained all the concepts in easy and understanding way. So I can integrate all these concepts and apply while I converge that knowledge with other concepts that I have to apply while I'm trying to understand and see how other body systems actually work. For example the cardiovascular system, among others.
Reasonable
von Hatem Q. am 16. Juli 2019 für Vascular Physiology
The overall lecture topic is fine,
However, because of being a rigid subject per se, more fun and slowing down might help further

I am not far enough into it yet to be able to comment properly. So far, though, very good. The articles supplement the talks very well.

von Admitere B. am 29. Juni 2019 für Rapidly Progressive Crescentic Glomerulonephritis
Doctor, you are great! I've been struggling with nephrology for some time, and after trying many sources and attending multiple classes, I can finally say I found something that really makes everything very clear.
I'm having some really beautiful days studying now. Thank you!
Lectures are good but they can be great if there will be more detail on mode of action.
von zoha f. am 24. Juni 2019 für Anti-Inflammatory Agents: Release Inhibitors and IgE-Antibodies
I liked it because I learned some keypoints in less time .It usually would have took 3-4 days for me to get all the points but LECTURIO and PRAVIN SHUKLE made it easiler for me .
But in my point of veiw there should be more detail about the mode of action and mechanism of drug .
I can and will recommend lecturio to my friends and even to pharm D friends.
Ugly way of explaining. Weird pronounciation.

von Siya S. am 14. Juni 2019 für Obstructive Lung Disease
Dr Carlo Raj presents the information in a very structured manner that is comprehensive, yet easy to understand.
He also touches upon other topics related to the topic of discussion that allows for a more wholesome approach.
Too much
von Zeiad H. am 14. Juni 2019 für STEMI and NSTEMI: Special Inferior Wall Myocardial Infarction
too many information that is too advanced

Excelent explanation
von Ismael Francisco V. am 13. Juni 2019 für Glomerulonephritis
There was a profound description of physiopathology, with emphasis on the clinical elements that helped lead to diagnosis.
There was a lack of precision regarding diagnostic cut-off values, treatment and follow-up.
Fantastic!
von Ali A. am 13. Juni 2019 für Heart Rate Ranges and Gap Junction Channels – Heart Rate and Electricity
It has always been a joyful experience to watch your lectures, Dr. Wilson. One of the main reasons I love Lecturio is having excellent lecturers like you! Thank you.

Dr Raj makes a subscription to Lecturio worth it!
von bertha s. am 26. Mai 2019 für Aortic Regurgitation: Visualization
It is different that Lecturio lectures do not use pointers. Only the Anatomy professor uses his pointer consistently. However, having the superficial knowledge gained by other review courses and coming here to listen to Dr. Raj Integrate and bring home high yield concepts along with asking and answering the why makes my subscription to Lecturio worth it.
Great explanation for Step 1
von bertha s. am 26. Mai 2019 für Aortic Stenosis: Visualization
I am so happy Dr Raj did tis with Lecturio, he goes over everything and answers the why. He makes the lectures very in-depth and relatable to step 1. After listening to him I don't have to seek any other resource to solidify my step one concept. Totally wish the Anatomy, physiology, Biochem lectures would go more inept and integrated for step 1 students like Dr Raj does.

Why is everything all over the place, Im not trying to have a conversation, jumping from place to place just makes me confused. Im not against joking in between but keep it in between. Im not having a monologue here, Im trying to understand and remember a concept that I dont know, Im not discussing something I already know.
You cant deliever symptoms like a story, they need to be seperated so it gets organized in my head. Need structure.

von sidra m. am 11. April 2019 für Hypertension: Endocrine & Cardiovascular Causes
This lecturer no matter what lecture he's doing is always a little all over the place- it's hard to follow alot of the times. The whole point of paying for lecturio is to get high yield information understood - not to end up more confused. What's more frustrating is this particular lecturer has done alot of lectures on so many topics...

von Stephen H. am 10. April 2019 für Valvular Heart Disease
I am a retired Ph.D. chemist with limited training in the life sciences. I have been studying the life sciences diligently during the last eight years and recently included Lecturio as part of my curriculum. The valvular heart disease section provides an excellent introduction to this subject. To my delight, I find that I am able to answer most of the questions correctly after listening to the lectures, even before reading the articles (which I do diligently, usually more than once).
Like It Very Much!
von Anwar A. am 09. April 2019 für Glomerulonephritis

Review
von Andrew M. am 04. April 2019 für Respiratory Physiology
Competent expert relating basic physiology principles well. Emphasis on aspects of physiology that relate to most common respiratory pathology. Good introduction and aid for the novice. Quiz questions after each lecture help reinforce key messages. Over time, Lecturio might be able to invest in more sophisticated graphics such as animations, to support the lecture's teaching objective and aid learning. The lecturer with powerpoint presentation can be a fairly benign and sometimes, unengaging method of teaching.
