Gillian Ahrens
Gillian Ahrens ist in Cornwall, England geboren und aufgewachsen.Sie hat einen Bachelor-Abschluss in Business Studies und war vor ihrer Lehrtätigkeit im Handel- und Versicherungssektor tätig. Mit Beginn ihrer Lehrtätigkeit erwarb sie zwei Lehr-Zertifikate in Erwachsenenbildung und Business Englisch am College of St Mark and St John, Exeter und der Guild University London.
Neben ihrer Tätigkeit als Englisch-Trainerin und Lehrerin in England, war sie auch als Koordinator tätig und schulte andere Trainer im ESOL Programm (Englisch für Ausländer) in Cornwall. Ihre Arbeit an verschiedenen Sprachinstituten in Deutschland brachte sie in Kontakt mit Unternehmen wie RWE und Siemens. Sie ist seit dem Jahr 2004 als selbständige Englischtrainerin und Dozentin tätig und arbeitet mit regionalen großen und mittelständischen Unternehmen zusammen.
Gillian Ahrens was born and grew up in Cornwall, SW. England. She holds a B.A. (Hons) Business Studies Degree and has been employed in the retail and insurance sectors.
As she began to teach she gained the following qualifications:
College of St Mark and St John Exeter, England Module of Advanced Professional Study – Adult Basic Education
Guild University London, England Certificate in Teaching International English for Business (Merit)
She was not only a tutor in the UK but also a coordinator for Cornwall and trained other tutors in the ESOL system in Cornwall. Working in various language schools in Germany brought her into contact with companies such as RWE, Siemens etc. She has been self-employed since 2004, working with large and small companies in the region.
