What is the purpose of having SMART goals?
- SMART goals can help the task and its expected outcome to be better defined, both for you and for your subordinate. It is also a useful mechanism for reviewing tasks upon completion.
- There is no point in such an idea. I just tell people what to do.
- I do not sit down and follow up.
- If they get it wrong, I punish them. That is all the motivation and instruction they need.
SMART stands for:
