Work consists of three important variables: force, cause, and displacement. For a force to do work on an object, there must be some displacement of the object caused by that force. There are many examples of work around us every day—a wagon being pulled by a child, a cart being pushed down a grocery store aisle. This course will provide a broad overview of the concept of work and how to calculate work done on an object.
