Translational motion is a specific type of motion in which all points of a moving body move uniformly in the same direction. If an object is undergoing translational motion, there is, by definition, no change in the orientation of the object. Although unlikely to be practically useful, the concept of translational motion is a good way to conceptualize the basic tenets of motion and the behavior of moving objects. This course will serve as an introduction to some of the basic laws governing motion.
