Momentum can be defined as mass in motion. The magnitude of an object’s momentum depends on two variables: the quantity of mass of the object and the speed at which the object is moving. In physics coursework, this is most applicable to predicting the response to a collision. In this course, we will review momentum conservation and how to apply it to both elastic and inelastic collision problems.
