by Jalil Z. on 2021-03-08 for Vesicoureteral Reflux (VUR) and Types of Reflux Excellent lecture. An important topic in pediatrics. I'm glad it is explored in such details. Thank you!

They are very informative and helpful to improve medicine knowledge.
Great doctor that i have ever seen in my medical career.
I like the series presented by Dr. Fisher. I love his explanation because it help stick material better when you understand why are we doing certain steps. Thank you Dr. Fisher.
Great content. Super easy to follow, to the point and reminds me of lab values/ rationales.
This lecture is neat and well explained, and not least exciting.
I really appreciate how comprehensive the course is, including the power point notes and the additional resources. I also appreciate the visuals. The subject is explained very clearly, and the case examples help with applying the knowledge in the clinical setting. My NP program truly lacks lectures and lecture notes to facilitate learning, which is unfortunate. With my program, I feel I have little to no guidance other than assigned readings. Reading a whole text book doesn't help with memory retention, as people have different ways of learning. I think Lecturio does a good job at ensuring the courses are effective for all types of learners. I'm definitely going to continue using Lecturio during the duration of my program and preparation for the board exams.

Just reading the slides. Poor lecturing ability had to study this from another source. And lecturer is constantly mentioning whether the topic is on usmle or not.
The videos are generally good, but I would like sometime to read the materials (e.g, the narratives of what professors are saying), which could be on a popped up window. That way I can learn faster by reading 1 min instead of listening 3 mins
The content is very well structured and organized, making it easy to understand. Furthermore, the visual information is presented in an objective way, integrating all the important points. The teacher is excellent!
I enjoyed watching that video and I refreshed my knowledge. Its length of time is very suitable and in the time very useful.
covers the topic clearly using an example i have seen in many question banks and practice exams
clear and exactly what is needed from subfalcine herniation. continue to provide these great lectures!
exactly what needs to be understood about intracranial pressure. clear and easily understood
Interesting data that I din't knew despite reading a lot of endocarditis from other sources.
Excellent review of topic, covers essential points and gives key factors of treatment
Brilliant lecture by a Dr. Stephen Holt. Great content and detailed way of explaining it all.

Very well explained and clinically oriented. Great work; thank you so much.
This is a great lecture presented by a great speaker!
The lecture is clear and i understand it. Am looking forward to see Np question review
Excellent course by the best professor on Lecturio I've seen so far in terms of explanation and concise statements and doubt clearing.
Best Section in the whole lecturio! High Yield and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole course therefore highly recommend it.
Organised in such a great way that is easily understood and saves time.
Very targeted and practical presentation and UpToDate thanks for that fantastic talk
Highly recommend, easily understandable, dive into the depth of diseases
Have been enjoying the lecture quite informative and constructive would appreciate it if it would be more explanatory
Lecturio displays a concise presentation of the most relevant aspects of a wide variety of subjects. Videos contain images for illustration and better understanding as well as quiz questions. Lectures are high-yield and seldom need supplementation of information. Fit for USMLE and PLAB, and offers good value for money - there’s so much to like. There’s however, the lack of clarity of images on a paused screen and only about 20% of the content is currently free.
Fantastic.priceless.I will always recommend this approach for medical students.residents.fellows.
ME PARECIÒ QUE CONETNIA LO FUNDAMENTAL, BIEN EXPLICADO Y CON IMAGENES EN GENERAL NITIDAS
I like the presentation It's made in a great way
I like that NF-1 and NF-2 are compared on the same slide.
Very clear review of NF-1. It's a lot better than the other lecture.
The speech style is a little robotic? Maybe this would be better as an audio book.
Understanding that it is an introduction, so I would not expect a lot of details, assuming that there will be other videos that go more in depth. I like the update provided a little more information on Arnold Chiari than other lectures. I would have liked some animation to help illustrate.
The explanation for craniosynostosis was very good. I wish there was more information on Arnold Chiari Malformation.
I like the clear explanation and breakdown of the topics. I think the other lecture for Granulomatosis with polyangiitis is a little more specific, like chronic sinusitis and pneumonitis +/- cavitary lesions.
Brian is incredibly clear as a communicator and the lesson is fantastic
Osm I can't explain how sir deliver his lectures with full of information and some jokes amazing sir respect to him
Concise, informative and accurate information presented in a clean and easy to learn format

Very well explained and simplified. I would definitely recommend Lecturio presentations to my fellow medical students.
Being an internal medicine specialist I would like to get the update in all relevant topics
It highlights the necessary information in a very comprehensive manner. I would definitely recommend it to others to use for studying
me gustó el video esta muy bien explicado y creo que esta todo lo necesario que necesitamos saber sobre enfermedad celiaca
Just reading from the slide not explaining anything at all. Could really use some illustrations to differentiate the different types of brain herniation.
very good revision,VERY GOOD ILLUSTRATIONS I LIKED IT ,I WAS VERY HAPPY
Concise, laser focused allowed me to think through the logic of muscular disorders.
This is a real great course for all doctors. I learn everyday in this lectures. It has become my habit now.
Dr. Holt is a very effective teacher and I learned so much from him.
Everything that he did needs to be redone in my opinion. Any other resource is better than this.
my hour long lecture summarized in less than 10 min with easy explanation for retention... thank you!
I liked the visual images accompanying the description, as I’m very unfamiliar with soft tissue infections. I liked the use of a clinical case presentation, and the subsequent process of elimination. It would have been helpful if descriptive words used to characterize the skin lesions were further elaborated on, such as for example “maculopapular”
I really appreciate for Roy Strowd’s lecture. He stressed always on approach to a neuromuscular presentation. So it’s clear to take steps to investigate where is the problem. Is it neurological or muscular or neuromuscular junctions causes and so on.
He really covered all the important aspects of the disease
Loved the concise and crisp approach. Very informative lectures. Helps to get an idea about the topic in a small time
The content is concise, straightforward and video time is short. However, using a pointer would be helpful. Overall excellent
I like the value information and the methodology of the teacher. He explain it in few minutes with examples.
The doctor is very clear in his explanations and makes learning more easier.
It was succinct, clear, and concise. The lecturer even replied to my question.

He manages to present the key information in really short time without lacking explanation where it might be needed. All of his lectures are wonderful, no exceptions.
Plz add some differentials for orogrnital ulcer. Overall lecture quality was excellent
FOR THE INTERESTING WAY TO EXPLAIN I RECOMMEND IT TO MY COLLEAGUES
Interesting lecture. I learnt alot in this lecture. Thank you so much.
Tetralogy Fallot becomes an easily understandable condition with the lecture of Doctor Brian Alverson. I can now explain tetralogy of Fallot by myself with ease without learning it by heart
Dr Alverson is an amazing lecturer. I'm watching this lecture series again now that I've finished my pediatrics course simply for the fun of it.
This is a very clear and helpful review of LEMS
Medicine, sacred mystery, goodness of God, blessed are the chosen to divulge the mystery. Gracias profesor M. Lazarus por ser uno de esos pocos E. Zambrano.
I learned from the content. It was informative and detailed.
Case studies helped with a better understanding and linking underpinning theory to clinical practice. Touched on all key aspects of the challenges of diabetes and its short and long term complications.
Amazing lectures. Only complaint I would have is that some topics are missing but otherwise the explaining is very clear and concise. It is very helpful !
Dr. Alverson along with Dr. Raj are the reason I joined Lecturio. Together, they got me covered in pediatric and adults. Dr. Alverson’s grasp on everything pediatric is such that he is able to convey every piece of information clearly and precisely and more importantly makes it stick. I can easily recall information I learned from him not because I have great memory (I don’t) but because he is that kind of teacher. I know you know which kind I’m talking about. I’m considering pediatrics so he’s basically my idol currently.
This is very helpful. Well organized and taught - I learned a lot
I like this material Professor was very nice Good lectures

That very well summarized and understandable, very good way to reinforce knowledge
I have never had this explained so clearly. Thank you!

These videos are very clearly and it is all I need to know. I really appreciate them
I enjoyed the fact that the videos are short and hold my attention but they are also packed with the required and necessary information I like that there are questions after each video and an opportunity to jot down any notes from my head . These notes are preserved A transcript of the video is also available so that I only need to liste and focus on the video without worrying about taking any notes !
Best DM1 lecture I have ever seen! Thank you so much Dr Alverson!!

Dr. Alverson is effective to my learning. His rendition enhances my receptivity to acquiring and retaining knowledge.
Amazing classes and notes . Crisp and yet completely covering all topics
This lecture is very clear and simple. It is informative and well structured and the lecturer articulates well and is not boring at all. It is good because it highlights all the important facts to remember about thyroid cancer without going into too much details.
Now is way more clear for me, thanks! This course is easy to understand
I do appreciate and respect the hematology lectures a great deal and I’ve learned so much from them. They lectures are successful at presenting the knowledge needed but sometimes due to the fact that I’m still in the process of learning, I would appreciate some extra attention to especially concept material with disease subtypes and so forth.
The lecture is well organised and the facts are explained clearly. I just think the lecture could be more detailed than it is.
I love this Doctor rendition: pleasant voice, rhythm, attitude, accent, everything counts. Highly professional. I love it.
This course is interesting, engaging, pleasant, loaded with memory tools that make learning so much fun.
Dr Anderson is a great teacher and helps one build the knowledge platform while showing the needed, key or "take home" points! Thanks! DocWillis.org
I like it because it's so clear and comprehensive and watching the lectures taught by best rank US teachers makes you feel you won't miss anything you should know, but in my country(Iran) the reference text book for pediatric in medical school is Nelson Essentials of Pediatrics, 8th edition, and i think lecturio is a bit different from it,what's your reference?
Dr. Raj is my constant reminder to thank god for Lecturio. I’m doing well in every block in huge part thanks to him alone. I owe him my medical degree.
Muy poca información y bastante básica la que se muestra
In general, dermatology lectures are not completed. There are some diseases or infections that it didn’t cover.

Quick and laser focused. Enjoyed short lectures. Presenter excellent. Very good review.
Very well summarized and complete. I was having trouble to learn with my school’s lectures and with the videos of Lecturio I understood it the first time.
Este es mi primer curso y fue de mi agrado, auque talves me huviera fascinado mas aun si fueran unos minutos mas largos o mas ejemplos esplicativos pero la verdad es que no es para nada malo y si me ayuda a estudiar o incluso a motivarme
made it easier for me to remember the features of each disease entity..
Great review of some of the most salient adolescent specific health concerns!
Yes , endocrine system is a complexly complicated system and explained so well. Many thanks indeed to a doctor Carlo Raj.
Infectious diseases aren’t my favorite topic to study but with Dr. Fisher I can feel my own IQ increasing and my own brain expanding. It’s such a pleasure and an honor to be taught by him. Thank you, Lecturio, for this unbelievable opportunity.
Dr. Strowd has a knack for making neurology sound very manageable. The way he walks us through epilepsy from A to Z makes it simple without belittling or underestimating the student’s ability to comprehend such a complex topic. I just love when doctors are able to simplify things enough for me to grasp while still feeling respected.
Simply the best and most comprehensive headache course you could possibly wish for. Everything you need to know for the exam and for practice.
When I pass my neurology block next week, I’ll be sure to come back and thank Dr. Raj. If it weren’t for him, I’d still be lost and confused.
I found it really helpful for my NP exam on derm. I like the case studies and differentials it really helps to frame it as a rule in rule out problems.

Great lecture for one of THE pediatric topics. It addresses all the important aspects of the topic.
Dr Raj is so entertaining and funny besides giving complex information in a simple manner, big fan!!
The lectures are very well presented and practical. The case studies are depictions of real clinical interactions that we see on a regular basis. Although I may disagree on some progressions, it's nice that my voice has been acknowledged. With any medical program, there's always going to be a variety of viewpoints and it's important that we are able to recognize all possible interventions. Overall, I do like the Lecturio format. I'm currently taking the entire endocrinology course in preparation for my five day, 40-hour Harvard Medical School course in clinical endocrinology.
The presenter is knowledgeable about the subject and presents the topic in an easy to understand and interesting manner!
Good lecture, liked the general overview and structure. Happy that i found it.
very interesting assessment and thank you for the antibiotic regimen.
I love all the lectures of Dr Fisher. He seems passionate about his speciality and knows a lot! His courses are rich and enjoyable
Good lecture, I would have appreciated more details on the differential diagnosis. Very clear explanations, though! Thanks!
The content is informative, not every one is able to lecture or teach for that matter, but these doctors do an excellent job. The videos are short and easy to watch which makes it easy to retain the information.
The content is amazing except when talking about "Clasp Knife" and "Cog Wheel" rigidity I would also recommend pointing at picture especially when talking about "lewis body" Thank you
The way the cases are worked through is really good. explaining each differential is something not many people do and works really well
really well explained, repetition really helps the knowledge stick. explaining rather than just reading off the screen really helps swell
All the important stuff covered without going too in-depth and overcomplicating it.
Really well explained. It is concise and to the point.

Really well explained. informative and detailed whilst also being concise
everything is explained really well. everyone makes mistakes and so despite the one mistake it is really informative and consice. Dr Raj's videos are really good
Dr. Carlo explained this lecture with such ease that I was able to fully understand the whole lecture. When I went back to my textbooks to read on this topic it made more sense. I was able to pass my exam at school that was based on this topic. I know that I will keep referring back to these lectures as I continue with my nursing school
Excellent lecture that enables to quickly grasp pathological conditions needed for Med school
Short but to the point. Good summary, easy to remember. Thanks!
Excellent lecture, as usual! Thank you very much! Easy to remember
VERY INTERESTING METHOD, NOT BORING AT ALL! THANK YOU DOCTOR
very simple and clear the beginning of the lecture tells you immediately what a coomb test is, and the deep explanation is done as if the Lecturer were explaining something to a child
Very well prepared lections. The explanations are clean and nice without theatrical exaggerations.
Easy receiving the information and very good introducing subjects. I enjoy studying it
Dr. Raj speed in speaking distracts me and make following him very difficult. Very poor usage of schematics and a lot of text in his presentations.
Not very clear Attending having language barrier Felt like he was reading it off and didn’t have good grasp.
Dr. Gillispie has a great presence and attitude that regardless my very low interest in obstetrics I get hooked to her lessons. I am glad I found her videos because Obstetrics is one of my weak areas.
I am not very fond of Endocrinology and I do not know why, because I am a physician scientist myself. But this Lecturer Dr. Lazarus is very good explaining things.
I'm very grateful for these lectures, they are fascinating and short, everything we need for the exam!
Good lectures. Could be a little more in depth, but good

Very precise and lecturer makes the subject interesting! Thank you so much!
Great professor. We need more from him! He breaks it down so well, it's so easy to understand.
I love the way the topics are explained in detail, how I am given an idea of what to expect from the specific lecture before the lecture starts going into detail...and also the fact that there are subtitles is a plus for me, because it helps me not to lose focus easily
EXCELLENT, short and sweet just the right balance between concept review and clinical correlatiojn of other related topics with out being too Confusing
I enjoy listening Dr. Raj explanations. He explains it clearly, throws some jokes, and makes conversations with the audience.
he is un outstanding professor and he helps us to memorize well.

Es clara la materia, esta bien explicada y los esquemas complementan muy bien lo que dice el ponente. Clara y concisa. Si recomendaría esta clase como introducción.
My friend recommended it I found it very useful for what i was looking for
I have rated this topic 5 stars because it is clear and easy to understand. In addition, it is easy to memorize because of the way it has been exposed.
Dr Alverson is great! I love his congenital heart disease presentations.
Not a typical pediatric disease but a very important topic nonetheless. Thank you!
Not a typical pediatric disease but still a very important topic. Thank you!
Not a typical pediatric topic, however very important topic as it is a diagnosis that must be considered in children. Thank you!
makes the topic way harder to understand even with the easiest topics.

This is an excellent and comprehensive lecture.Thank you Lecturio!
Important topic for neonatal medicine. All the information to suspect the disease is contained within the lecture. Thank you!
Well-explained, clear, easy to remember. Important complication of oligohydramnios! Thank you!
I particularly liked the differential diagnosis. I would have preferred to see them organised by ethology (infectious, etc.) and to have an explanation for the surface tension. I understand the concept but I think it's worth more details. That being said excellent lecture. Thank you!
A very important topic in neonatology, very clear. Thank you very much!
This topic deserves a series of lecture due to its multi-systemic nature. Thank you!
This topic in pediatrics does deserve a series of lecture for its multi-systemic injuries. Thank you!
One of the typical "pediatric" disease. Also hits multiple systems. It's good that there are several lectures dedicated to it. Thank you!
I think it's a good overview of eating disorders and is good enough for screening. However, for this topic I would have liked it to be deeper because it's a psychiatric problem.
Very important topic. I particularly liked to hear your opinion about Flumazenil. Thank you!
A topic which is not often enough talked about in pediatrics. Very common, though. Thank you!
One of the best endocrine lectures out. Thank you Dr. Raj
I deal with suicidality in adolescents quite often in the pediatric ER. So this is a very useful lecture with some new information for me. Thank you!
Good overview of a disease that is not often talked about in pediatrics. Thank you!
This guy is definition of PERFECTION. The way he explains, makes me laugh all the time. Thanks Carlo Raj.
Great instructor, he is extremely thorough, efficient, and gives high yield information.
Very clear differential physiopathology and differential diagnosis. Thank you very much!
It is hard for me to listen to his speech, He is stressing every word and I feel the teacher being arrogant
It's a topic which is not typically pediatric, so it's very good to hear about it. Thank you!
Good overview of the disease. Where I live it's less common, but still necessary to know about it.

The bar is set high and it is passed once again. Especially knowing the teacher is not a gynaecologist. Thank you!

Excellent overview of the different contraceptives and their advantages and disadvantages. Simple structure but effective for clarity and repetition. Thank you!
It makes very clear a topic which was not so clear for me before. Thank you!
Excellent and clear overview of the terms and pathophysiology. Thank you!
Brilliant. Once again the view from afar gives a clearer understanding of the whole topic. What I did not understand are the indication for Beta-blockers, Digoxin and Flecainide. Thank you!
I understand the comment of the previous student. However, I think the goal of these lectures is to give the appropriate knowledge to use as a resident. It's not really important to know more details about it. When a patient has a tachycardia, it's important to know if it's physiologic or pathologic and the cause of it. So the lecture helps to determine the physical origin which helps to point to the cause. Thank you!
These are the best explanations regarding bradycardia that I heard of. I would have liked to hear more about other drugs that could cause bradycardia though. That being said, I think that now I cannot forget the different blocks. So thank you very much! Also cool that the case of neonatal bradycardia is talked about.
Excellent lecture as usual. I would have liked an explanation on why the pain is relieved when the patient is leaning forward in pericarditis. I liked the emphasis on the overlap between myocarditis and pericarditis. Thank you!
Excellent lecture, I think it's a group of disease which is not often spoken about.
Excellent lecture as usual. I would have liked to see the epidemiology (and mortality) but the info concerning the ethology and clinical presentation is enough to raise the suspicion of myocarditis in a sick child.
Excellent lecture as usual. I particularly appreciated to have the epidemiology and the clinical differences between the different organisms.
The speaker does not explain anything. He just names random stuff and says it is important.
This lecture made once again a complex topic seems a simpler one. I understand the teacher removes as many numbers as possible and I appreciate it. However, I would have like for this chapter a bit more statistics regarding prevalence. Thank you!
I think it's an excellent lecture. However, I do agree with another member, I would have liked to see for these diseases the prevalence number of the diseases. Otherwise I think the relevant information to think about the disease is in the lecture.
I know I'm keeping saying "excellent lectures". That's the way I feel I about them. Thank you!
Excellent lecture as usual. I did not know the frequency in the general population was so high. Thank you!

Great lecture as usual. The teacher succeeds in simplifying a complex topic for the practicing generalist pediatrician.
These were excellent! Great practical information as well with excellent case examples.
Elegí la calificación máxima, por que la explicación esta bien estructurada.
The clinical neurology series does not contain the amount of clinical information that is expected on the neuro-ward. Also, I really didn't learn anything new, this is all anatomy and some pathology, pre-med/ freshmen level kind of knowledge really. Proposals: - Example/demonstration of clinical examinations. (Most important skill in neurology) - More relevant, clinical information. I do understand that these lectures can not substitute clinical classes, or lectures at an auditorium given by specialist in the field. Nevertheless, lecturio is advertised as such. Curious if this sub-par product is for the clinical neurology only, or other courses that are supposed to be for senior students, having clinical duties and board exams. Best regards.
Really enjoyed working through the clinical vignettes and then walking through the thought process behind the answer choices.
Excellent! Very clear. I also appreciate the case scenarios he provides.
Excellent lecture and I really enjoy it and it is a useful resource for medical student like me. I have a high probability that I will recommend it to a friend.
You should have added histopathology in pathology videos and explain that histopathology
Lucid case presentation Excellent distinguishing features well explained with case elucidation
I love his presentation style and details regarding the topic. He keep you engaged and information is retained the first time.
Interesting, easy digestible lecture. Essence of useful and important information. Thanks for your work!
i was reading the reviews and there is a big mistake, this lecture it's a resume, it can't be your only source of information, so don't cry about it and use it with your books.
Good understanding. Great classes, awesome speaker and teacher. Thanks Dr Lazarus
Le recomendaría este curso a mis compañeros, ya que tiene una correcta explicación de los puntos claves para el manejo de dichos pacientes y no alarga el material, además considero que ese doctor es un buen docente ya que junta lo teórico con su experiencia clínica. Great content and to the point. It focuses on the common diseases and starts with pathophysiology and ends with management.
Explica muy bien y claramente domina el tema aunque la epidemiología difiere con la de mi país igual en los medios auxiliares de diagnósticos se pide lo mismo. Es muy genial.

Clear and Concise. Very Nice. On different point, it was hard to find using search. Perhaps add the "contre" "contrecoup" "coup" but not "chicken coup" as search terms might help other others find this gold.

Excellent lecture. Really helps to dispel all the myths around M. pneumoniae. It does really seems like management is going to change in the upcoming years regarding this disease.
Excellent lecture as usual from a master teacher. The most important points about management are highlighted. It would have been great to hear the teacher's opinion about PO vs IV treatment, indications of drainage in case of empyema/abscess. Otherwise, I particularly liked the part about which vaccinations, why they are preventing pneumonia. Very well stressed I think. I'm going to use this when discussing with parents.

Very good lecture. As usual: clear, concise and comprehensive. I put 4 stars, because contrary to lectures about Asthma or Bronchiolitis, I felt that the experience of the teacher did not enrich this lecture as much as it did in the previous above. Otherwise, it is still top-notch learning material.

I got lot of benifit from this app its very conceptual I learned a lot
High yield facts, great for closed book examinations. Loved the bonus mnemonic! Thank you for your work!
Excellent lecture, thank you very much! I particularly liked the parts where you share your personal experience and opinion: the glue, suturing and the sedation parts. Clear and concise as usual.
All your lectures are excellent and it shows that you deeply care for children. I'm reviewing this one in particular because this is a difficult topic and I think you excelled in the choice of topics, the tone and advice for young paediatricians. I'm talking about the whole "child abuse and neglect" lectures. I'm going to review more. Thank you!
firstly the reasoning was very vague and not explained well with a quick physiology reference secondly hungry bone syndrome described as surgery for hypoparathyroidectomy . Hungry bone syndrome (HBS) refers to the rapid, profound, and prolonged hypocalcaemia associated with hypophosphataemia and hypomagnesaemia, and is exacerbated by suppressed parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels, which follows parathyroidectomy in patients with severe primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) and preoperative high bone turnover.
it was a though topic in the past, I was trying to remember things just by lecture, but you make me clarify all of my doubts, thanks a lot, I wont forget the topic
The lectures were precise and easy to understand. The important points were clearly stated to help one understand with no ambiguity.
Why does this lecture start with a reference to something else if it is an Introduction?
The lectures are very crisp.......1.not explained the classification of AML (fab and who).’’’and translocation’’’’........they are not detailed Hodgkin lymphoma about subtypes and specific findings.......among NHL they left hairycell leukaemia and T cell lymphomas are very very crisp....even anemia’s also ...no case based approach ....leukaemias prognostic factors of cml and AML ‘’’not explained ....no talk on ITP. NO DIFFERENCE B/w HUS AND TTP.....PRESENTATIONS......ABOUT HITT...IN GENERAL SO MANY TOPICS ARE LEFT
Great material presented and pretty nice connected to other subjects
I love the way Dr Raj presents, but sometimes he is a bit hard to follow. I love endocrinology, but have very little by way of basic knowledge because of the classes previously taken. Maybe shorten some of the lectures, and what would be great would be to have animated slides as he speaks, so as to make some of the harder concepts easier to follow.
I have a difficult time understanding Dr. Raj' speech in these videos Charcot-Marie-Tooth was covered in little detail but was in an NBME question
she modulates her voice that keeps you engaged and divides the content into easy to understand packages of knowledge
Excellent! Stepwise approach and use of algorithm very easy to follow. Helped strengthen by a vast amount my pre-existing understanding of this topic.
It's brief, concise and Dr. Alverson clearly explains the benefits of breastfeeding as well as give some problems to be aware of. Another thing that I liked was that he highlights the role skin to skin bond and the importance to start breast feeding as soon as possible even if the mother doesn't have much milk in the first hours.
I really aprecciate this video because he explained the treatment and action mechanisim
Barely any information presented, very disappointing. I wish there was more explanation and more information about the treatment. A lot of things just arent getting mentioned
Lecture was excellent! very clear and simple. I enjoyed it. Thanks so much Dr Raj.
The Professor is very good, he teaches high yield and practical medicine
Ok explanation. Some examples and pictures to explain the topic would make it better
I like the way benign nevi was explained, start with the definition and the different categories.... Perfect!
Great video on precursor lesions, RF and differential diagnosis for Melanoma.
Carlo Raj is so good at explaining and keeping you alert and focused. He asks questions and is very funny! I learned a lot about the things that didn't stick in my normal classes. Super good course!!
It could have been more detailed and a bit more tied in with the basic neuro.
I think the material is extensive and yet concise. The by the side information very interesting.
its somehow good but need little speed when explaining not that fast tho
The video was very down to earth and easy to understand. Thank you
Great material and the table was just super fantastic. I would appreciate the Lecturio team makes an update to this video, describing the general clinical presentation of meningitis, that will be a big booster.
I love the combo of humour and medicine, it makes it sink in easily. Thanks once again Dr Raj for such a great lecture. I am just loving neuropathology with you, I hope I could be a guru like you :)
VERY good lecture, thanks for such an essential break down of this topic, I am loving this topic.
As usual highly rated. I love your lectures and the whole Lecturio team. Keep the good work up. Thank you
No matter what, I appreciate Dr. Raj, I have been watching his videos and I have watched more than a bunch of his videos. I want to say a big thank to you and the whole Lecturio team :) thank you for such a wonderful system and teacher who is making learning Medicine easier and clearer. Thanks a bunch
I am from the maldives, you have a fan from all the way across the world.
Excellent explanation, I was able to understand the topic thoroughly. Thank you Sir.
The approach is wonderful. As expected from Dr. Holt. He is an excellent teacher
I always had trouble understanding dermatology. I tried to solve some questions but that never worked. I thought I will just memorize for the sake of passing but this course totally changed my perception about dermatology. The way he is approached it was excellent and I would highly recommend this course to my friends.
He is good . Lectures are informative and concise. ... worth the time
The AV blocks were explained so clearly. I have never understood the differences between the three types before. thank you
Very important to hear what you should to know from this dr about neonatology
Como puedo saber cuando fué la fecha de publicacion del video ? tenía esa duda
Very good and simple to follow. Makes learning easy. Great.
Hi the course is really indept and the way doctor brian presents is very nice.
me encantó la exposición super puntual con los datos, entendible!
The lecture stated the changes during pregnancy, while cause of the most of them are not explained in it. It would be better if the cause were stated along side to their effect. A medical student really needs them.
Very nice presentation and lectures. Well planned. The way the lectures were introduced and follow a structured pattern based on differential diagnosis is really impressive.
Have a habit of not seeing the word not so ping another answer - I am a silly dill.Great lecturer John Fisher.
Lots of facts and information missing, goals for therapy not mentioned
His anecdotes are amazing here. Makes the subject much more memorable.
ME GUSTÓ COMO EXPLICA EL TEMA, SIN EMBARGO ME HUBIERA AYUDADO SI AGREGARA MAS INFO Y DETALLES SOBRE ESTE TEMA , COMO FISIOPATOLOGIA .
I would review more of Brian Alversons lectures but I'm a bit time-poor. All his lectures on pediatrics are amazing. He communicates clearly and confidently
she focus on her specalty, what you need to know about pediatric ragiology
I’d like too see more images incorporated in this course to allow visual learning!
Learning things effortlessly. Nicely designed and easy to use. Very happy with the information provided
I like it very much. He explained the topic easy. I love neurosurgery but in emergency there are a lot of patients with headache.
I am an RN student, 2nd semester. This lecture is very informative. I like when it describing the opportunistic infection, the lecture provides info from the type of illness, s/s, type of diagnostic tests, and treatments.
he is reading his lecture and has long pauses which make it difficult to maintain attention
It's very good i appreciate this hard work by the innovation
I understand the point of an "introductory" lecture, but this is well below subpar. I needed detailed explanations of the various types of Spinal Cord injuries. I looked at the other video in the "series", but this is well below that of what I expect from a clinical neurology section.
thanks to this video i now have a much clearer understanding of TOF much thank you dr alverson
well explained quick summary, has all the important information, maybe adding lumbar puncture contradictions would be helpful, thank you for all the amazing lectures Dr. Alverson, they are very helpful in reviewing pediatrics
All are well explained Useful for all doctors in thair practice Thank you
Dr.Alverson you Do a great job in illustrating pediatric , thank you for your time and make sure that time you put it here worth. Also I thank the mcq after lesson should be harder and case oriented question
i like that when straight to the clinical, would be good add a little about oral tx, like pharmacochinetics and dinamics
The popsicle walk back in the room is the best trick I heard so far!
super easy to understand!! i've always had problems with the pediatrics, but he has given me so much assurance, nothing is better than this
Very clear lecture right on points. Thank you for making complicated concepts straight forward.
it is a good a good teacher that explain and transmit you the information using the easiest way possible i liked it very much
I really enjoy the teaching style. Easy to follow and remember. Even when doing questions - I can remember Dr Raj mentioning it. It is easy to get introduced and get comfortable with a wide variety of topics. Would have like to know of Lecturio much sooner.
The way the video has been made is very commendable???? I like you go from.basics to top notch treatment Options I would like you to include a bit more on pathogenesis and MODY though
good coverage of all headaches, well explained, satisfied very much so
It was very very good......and just awesome Videos are short and precise and clinical scenario oriented
Carlo - you are great as a teacher - probably a wonderful doctor. I always had trouble remembering differences as a doctor - you make it easy.
The clinical vignettes are thorough and very high yield. The content is what we have all come to expect of Lecturio: Concise, detailed, and forces critical thinking about the pathophysiology of the disease, clinical presentation, and treatment.
I think these lectures need to be presented in better way, other lectures are much better. Thank u anyway
it is very precise and to the point with clear explanations.
The digital background is not apealing, each disease is scattered through no of slides intead of just one slide which would be helpful for review.
The cases are simple, maybe not really challenging. We could have a case that would be harder to think about. Short videos are good.
It is realy good , we need more subjects about clinical pharmacy works .nutrition and nurse work practically.
Thank you for the clarity, I feel a bit more comfortable with type of patient care now.
Thanks for you lectiona! This help for my work all day!
best lecturer on Lecturio - so refreshing to have a lecturer with passion and a personality! No ego getting in the way of his fantastic lectures - a very rare thing indeed!
Well instructed. Easy to understand. Awesome video. Short and to he point
Best professor in lecturio make him make more lectures please
Straight to the point and high yield info. Dr Alverson does a great job throughout the lectures.
Very comprehensive material And the doctor Michael is amazing Thank you
Thank you very much for a clear, concise summary of this topic.
All types of vascular skin lesions covered with details on syndromes as well as serious things to look out for. Thank you.
the course is very good and the informations are up-to-date so l like it .
Some of Dr Raj's lectures are excellent, but this is one of the frequent examples of his strange mannerisms obstructing a clear explanation.
I like all the lectures of Prof. Brian Alverson! Wonderful explanation with a proper language! Very interesting and easy to comprehend.
it's a well prepared material and professional doctor thank you sir
Valuable information for students and for every day life. i had not considered the behavioral effects rocking a baby to sleep could have.
Dr. Brian Alverson is a wonderful lecturer so far! He explains everything very easily and not wasting the time. I like his lectures!
Hello Brian. Your talk is really succinct. Thank you so much.
Clear explanation in a logical manner, luckily I found this few days before my final.
simple and informative and I really like the way he uses his voice to keep us on point with him
its a good review with easy tips,so you can learn a lot
Exellent course! Helps to review material, focus on the practical things.
Very nice and attractive lessons I liked it so much . Thanks a lot for offering that it helps us so much
I like it very much, before I was confused about this topic but now I can say that I am 100% clear
Yo recomiendo este video, lastima no hay mas de TEA
The best approach to explain things with clinical cases. Thank you very much
Hello Doctor! I love listening your lessons, you truly inspired me. Good luck and HUGE THANK YOU!
Great professor! Thank you for your lectures! it is short, informative, and NOT boring!
I loved this class. The teacher explain easy each pathology, these examples were helpful.
this lecture gives a really good understanding and brief and clear concepts of milk protein allergy
Thanks for the hand trick. Amazing way to remember it helped me
It is missing more test questions for a very important and usually frequently asked subject.
It is an unbelievably easy and organized explanation. It is an excellent presentation.
Easy to understand and digest, clear and smooth lecture, keep it up
The lecturer takes his time to explain,no rushing. He does not assume the student knows the topic already. I'm being inspired more to specialize in Pediatrics-Neonatology. Good work sir.
I like it, but I think he need to explain more about CVA and anatomical relation . Some times I find it difficult to understand the accent.
I don't want to sound unkind, but this is not good. Not enough exact facts and description of the conditions, too many unnecessary phrases that don't help me connect with Dr. Raj and what he is trying to teach me. This was a waste of my precious time.
My best lecturer on this platform. He helped me very much. Thank you sir
Sir explained every vedio in detail and how to manage the patient effectively
I have been on leave for a few years and this is a great review for Boards II! I will take the exam within 6 months to a year from now.
It is new kind of topic presentation and very organized explanation, so I strongly recommended for other students
I liked this section; however, it could be strengthened by adding more dermatological content.
This conference is Clear and concise, the information is really useful
this lecture covers almost everything I need to know to learn about th adrenal before stepping into its pathology
Went over the coagulation in very simple way. The only thing is you need to see it more than once to remember the cascade
Five stars. Smooth and clear explanations, outstanding powerpoint presentation. Very refreshing.
I like that is the most precise information that you might need for solving clinical cases later in practice
Because is not clear what is the Intersticial cystitis. Some diference between the slides and what is talking he about
Una patología muy compleja, explicada de manera fácil y ordenada. ;) Su forma de hablar es bastante comprensible.
Helped clarify my understanding and simplified concepts without affecting quality of content.
Like the emphasis this instructor puts on the important things.
I had already studied this topic and I realised that the content is good enough to confront an exam. This kind of videos can’t replace the knowledge learned by a scientific article, but the simpleness of this videos plus the quality of the content is good enough for a M.D
I like your lectures Raj! Always helping me a lot, thank you
I like that everything is very well explained and we are given only the information we need to know. Thank you. I didn't know about the herpetiformus dermatitis, for some reason they don't always mention it in our books.
I'm glad you fixed the mistakes in the classes so we can fully trust lecturio.
Very good table explained and I appreciate the extra details added to it.
I watched it to reinforce and know a little bit more about stroke besides the information that I already read in books or articles, because in lecturio I got more facts that I don't find anywhere else. And I would recommend it to my friends in med school since you can watch the videos or answer the quiz before you read about some topic or after, so you feel sure about what you know.
i am sorry guys but honestly i have a question is this doctor teaching for step 1 or either any thing related to the USMLE steps?? i don't think so he gives only general knowledge please dont waste our time on general information please you can just open first aid on neuro section and you will know what we are struggling about.
I like Dr. Alverson's lectures. They are simple to understand and follow. And most importantly the videos are short and easy to pay attention and revise. A few things that I would recommend is that if the lectures could include more clinical approach points and prognostic information, it would be great. Thank you Lecturio, you guys are doing a great job.
Great informative lectures. Everything is well structured. Thank you very much!
very straight forward and helps to remember quite complex diseases very easily
I can see that she has a lot of experience with this kind of patients.
The main reason why people don't rate 5 stars more often is because we have questions at the end and we go so fast to the next lesson.
Very useful and almost complete, but could use a bit more details about how common AMS is in the eldery and in-patients.
Thank you Doc. You help a lot to understand and take pleasure in infections diseases. Greetings from Colombia.
Great content that covers everything I need to know to get questions right. Dr. Raj never disappoints.
The professor incorporates clinical related cases into his lectures which strengthened my clinical sense
La explicación fue muy fácil de entender. Me a aclarado as dudas que tenía.
A good introduction for an everyday problem in pediatric consults. And a good review for MDs.
Really grateful my brain works well with Dr. Raj's teaching style He always drops in links to other topics & things you should be thinking about when delivering his lectures
Very nice lectures with beautiful presentation that made me understand pediatric
In a short time you have a good content. And it has English subtitle.
Clearly explain new and important information. Distinctive style. A great summary of the topic
Dr. Raj is great all the way around and I like you Q bank.
This is a high level course, im really happy to have seen this.
very clear, thanks.i t is easy to understand with this kind of lectures
Dr. Raj nails it, easy and quick, to the point, nothing unnecessary, thank you!!!
Concise and informative. Clearly differentiates disorders. Important points covered without missing anything
What an excellent lecture! I have not seen a comparison of pharyngitis causes shown next to each other so clearly until now. Having the images of throat presentations displayed on the same slide as the narrative goes on was very helpful. Thank you!
If I´m paying for people to read the slides, Im out of this, TBH this whole Lecturio actually is super good only for just a few doctors, like Dr. Raj, and some others, but this man... really? reading everything? I´m actually pissed off.
Easy to follow videos. Interesting examples and informative explanations. Thanks!
A very good course. Clear explanations and easy to follow lectures. Thanks!
I enjoy Dr. Alverson’s teaching style. Easy to comprehend. I have watched it several times through NP school. I am trying to find the “hand method of remembering the cyanotic heart defects, but can’t fine the video again. One of my favorite professors here. Thank you!!
The subtitles do not go according to the doctor's explanation
This teacher has a style of teaching that makes people retain facts better like the way he pats the liver to say beware of liver disease and his way of pressing certain words is certainly helping to reckon better, thank you, sir.
The teacher is a highly experienced doctor and the way he correlates the lecture with his clinical knowledge is amazing.
Abordaría un poco más sobre el tratamiento. Y diagramas de abordaje ya que son indispensables para la vida y para el examen
Concise and informative Very good standard Enjoying it so far
John Fisher es uno de los mejores expositores en la plataforma. Felicidades!!! Solo me hubiera gustado escuchar un poco mas respecto a la endocarditis por S. Viridans
Very impressive , This is what we call a concept. Thank you so much for making this available to me.
Not impressive. Just reading the slides and dull expressions. half of his word are unable to be listened
I repeat the lectures several time to understand .Iam bilingual .Iam amom sometimes I am working and listening to lectures ????.
the lecture was very thorough explained in detail understood the lecture and saved me a lot of time
Excellent presentation!.. He make a difficult subject for understand in a clear and didactique explanation of the congenital infections of the infant. Dr. Alverson is very clear for teaching. Congratulations!
Very good lecture aboud how much serum can administrate in the hospital. Especially in gastroenteritis.
Dr. Brian Alverson is very clear in his explanations, I totally recommend his lectures.
Nice informative useful simple nice illustrations nice lecturer voice tone and accent
Very concise and clear. He is an excellent teacher. Still confused about mononeuritis multiplex
Succinct. Well organized. Clearly presented. 5-10 minute lectures are easy to stay focused on without zoning out.
I enjoy Dr Carl a lot, great and clear and more so easy to understand. Makes medicine a lot more fun
I would like subtitles in spanish in the lecture. The automated subtitles are mistranslated. However Dr. Brian Alverson is very clear in his explanations !
Excellent course! I enjoyed learning this system because the material was organized and thorough.
Like it very much. Easy to understand, complete and concrete.
Thank you so much, all your lectures are so great, full of good advice for my practice!
Very Good Lecture.. Excellent Explanation!... It resume very good the pathophysiology and the managment of epiglotitis. Even if it's not a common disease.
Its a really nice summary of what do any doctor needs to know to be prepare in the mission of infront the pathology
Love Raj’s speaking and teaching style: very conversational but professional and easy to follow. It’s like you’re face to face in a real lecture with him. I like all of his lectures!
This course delivered a lot of information and useful techniques with regards to the analysis of CSF to determine the cause of meningitis and the rundown of most of the clinical presentations of these disorders. I also enjoyed having the summary at the end of each video to give an overview to each condition and the main points to remember about each. The actual pathophysiological teaching leaves much to be desired as do the slides themselves. Dr Raj is good at delivering things in an interesting way when he has the right slides. These ones are just text most of the time which makes things much less interesting. It would also be nice to get more of an insight into the pathophysiological mechanisms of each disease both macro and micro
Dr. Raj lectures are always funny This lecture is short, provides key points, easy to remember Excellent explanation for the anatomical-clinical correlation
Material contains pretty much everything I need to know. I have noticed a few typed errors but not enough to disturb the learning experience.
thank you so mush it was helpful thank you so mush it was helpful
thank you so mush it was helpful thank you so mush it was helpful
Well explained. The failure was to be so explicit without a lot of explanation.
The derm lectures have been surprisingly helpful and as always Dr Raj keeps it clear, funny, and to the point.
Hello Dr.Lynae Brayboy,good lecture,keep it going!All the very best!
Me gusta porque es muy puntual con el tema, y el manejo del mismo
Great break down of each of the different cardiac conditions and how to differentiate between them!
no pathophysiology, epidemiology and risks explained explanations are shallow, very hastily spoken and with very little extra info. Not happy with this course
Lecture on this topic was clear and easy to follow. Terminology was and the appropriate to promote understanding and retention.
Covered well very important urgent/ER issues and specially their treatments. Very useful in practice, thank you!!!
Es una muy buena clase, el tema se entiende muy bien.
Provided no useful explanations on the topic and I ended up looking for information on google to understand it myself. To much joking around and too little professionalism.
The experience and knowledge that Dr Fisher has to share is invaluable for up and coming health care providers. I found it humorous and interesting; however, that in his lectures on infective endocarditis he mentioned women cardiologist as almost an anomaly. Something along the lines of... the cardiologists used to be thought of as the jet fighters of internal medicine... and... (OMG!) some of these are women now. Another lecture on the antimicrobial choice for IE he stated..."like we say...let a man buy the beer!" ....what does that mean & what does that have to do with penicillin? I grew up in the south. I've never heard this saying. Who are "we" and, why does a man have to buy beer? I like beer too.
Dr Jeremy make it very simple and very clear for the students.
Simple and high-yield explanation to a commonly encountered topic in both pediatrics and internal medicine.
really great lecture, covered clinical information really well but also holistic care which is so important!!
simplified and easily explained; easy to understand. thank you very much
Very glad to have such succinct and high-yeild lectures. Thanks, Dr. Alverson! I looked like a star during my group session when I brought up that breastfeeding is advised in poverty-stricken areas, but not in countries where programs like WIC make formula feeding affordable.
Focuses on the highlights and omits the extraneous details. Felt as though this has helped me master HIV a bit better
The presentation was brief and simplified thanks too much and I hope like these lectures in future
I really liked this summary, the information is precise and really easy to get thanks to the way the doctor explains it. Today at school we reviewed this topic, so when I got home I went over CRUP again with this video and it was really, really useful.
Engaging. Good clinical correlation from his own experience in practice. Good explanation of physiology and tie in with pathology.
good lecture, helped to refresh my knowledge.thank you very much
clearly explained. very good, thank you very much for the support
I wish you would have gone into more detail with chickenpox. I know it might not be as common in the US but a lot of people use lecturio for other international tests and chickenpox is still a big deal here (both in clinical practice and licensing exams)
Excellent lecture easy to learning ability . I would recommend this to all of Men that are sexually active .
It is very usefull, focused and illustrative, clear voice I recoment it to all pediatrician and pediatric neurologist
It is a pleasure listening to such an experienced and passionate professor. Thank you! I just wish there was also a part talking about non-bacterial pathogens causing gastroenteritis (viral and parasitic in particular). Thanks again.
These lectures are overly simplified and too short so they don't provide enough or even any detail on the organism, diagnosis, presentation, and treatment. Seemed like a waist of my time to even listen to these. Lengthen the videos and they will become more useful.
Great explanation, logical flow. Humble style! Thank you very much!
Dr. Alverson covered the basics and it was all thorough. I like his smooth style of presentation.
This is the first time that i clearly understand why and how Coombs Tests are done. Great explanation.
Very easy to understand!!! I can listen to the lecture even while doing other things, and I am able to absorb and retain the information. I also like the friendly approach. Thank you Dr. Brian Alverson!!!
I like how that he randomly generates questions that get the students to think
From my point of view, this lecture is an amazing clear presentation about angioedema . This lecture discribes in many ways and from several point of views the struggles and the look outs about this condition and illness. Also, a fresh way for (becoming) docters to make it not so difficult for them working together with the patient, with this clear and vivid diagram. It is possible to check the "boxes" together because of the clear way of putting it all out there. People could recognize the specifics of the illness.
very simple to the point and explain many thing was difficult to me
i really like it,because before these lecture i went through neuroanatomy , i got some bullet point from the lectures.
just reading the screen in front of her but that's not the big deal.. her pauses are horrible misleading and ruining the focus .. so instead of focusing on the subject im focusing on understanding whenever she pauses in a wrong place one repeating voice rhythm circling again and again sorry but i had to find some other resource to study this subject from
I need to watch it for 2 times . It is very helpful. Specific information for the exams.
Thank you so much for this beautiful lecture. It will help us so much
It is satisfying especially if you read before about the effects of PTH.
Thank you Mr.Raj . You are such a brilliant teacher. He loves medicine and he tries to make the same for students
Thank you Mr. Raj for such a beautiful lecture. He is very professional and very good in his job
Very easy, straight up to the point and very helpful
Explained the topic very effectively. Made easy to understand. Also the progress of the lesson is very catchy.
seriously these series of lectures are the absolute worst. no explanation at all, no physiopathology, no images...just a pathologist who seems to be severely under qualified to teach a comprehensive clinical neurology lecture , reading a bunch of bullet points off the most lazily prepared power point presentation. seriously strating to wonder what the point of lecturio is. I do the q bank right after the lectures and literally nothing that is asked is mentioned in these lectures.
Excellent detail and explanation. Thank you Dr Carlo Raj - Amazing
i think speaker is going too fast to catch, some drugs doses, mode of delivery and practical problems at bedside should have been covered
Im sorry Dr Raj, I really enjoyed your cardiology series, but the neurology is subpar to put it politely. zero detail, just a bunch of bullet points and basic stuff a first year pre-med student already knows. no detail as to the pathophysiology, treatment or any of that. If I have to go back to biochem or neuroanatomy for all that then what's the point of this series?
Sir whats with the new guidelines of HIV AIDS? Have you seen it yet?
God bless u Sir .. you are a great teacher..........refklj bhacskvFX,N CXKBLAV;Wdls C
I really enjoyed watching this lecture versus having to listen to hours of lecture on these topics.
Dr. Raj is one of the best professors I know !!! I cannot thank you enough for all of your hard work, Dr, Raj! You make students understand and think! Thank you, thank you, thank you so much!
I finally undertood this disease which is actually nice because I couldn't associate at all with the changes in T3 and T4.
He is good But honestly its really hard to follow along with what he is saying (even after prereading before the video). Sometimes I feel he jumps around concepts. Mentions something and you thing what he says next its relevant to the previous things and no.
Great explanation for students !!!!! Thank you so much, Dr. Raj!
Love this lecture! Dr. Raj is amazing at explaining concepts!
Easy to understand lectures and you can feel her passion as she delivers the lectures.
Not very detailed, doesn't explain the concepts properly. Breezes by most topics more like a sales presentation than a lecture.
Lets his need top "put on a show" get in the way of explaining things. Could perhaps benefit from some diazepam before lecturing.
Its a pretty usefull tool to learn about nHL if you don´t remember a thing about it. Solid and only the essential aspects.
Very clear and concise definitions of stroke vs TIA. I appreciate that Dr. Raj underlines the importance of TIA treatment as a risk factor for a stroke.
Dr Fisher has that ability that great lecturers have when lecturing. That plus proper use of multimedia results in a great lecture.
Good lecture that covers the antenatal tests with appropriate detail. Would have liked to have the context of what weeks gestation these tests occur - 32 and 36-38 weeks gestation per article.
Nice lecture, but the treatment in boy or girl clinical case...
NICE LECTURE, short and understandable. feels like information is not enough. anyway, it's a good lecture. thank you, doctor Carlo.
La traducción, no es tan buena; pero ha sido un tiempo bien invertido por su explicación.
Well done especially for explaining stridol from wheezing part and overall aproach
Great aproach It would be lovely if you indicated dose for drugs Thanks
clear about the concepts and emphasizes on each and every topic.
Concise, Succinct, and "digestible" I now know about scarlet & rheumatic fever in children.
best teacher on the site, easy to understand and the right amount of crazy to get your attention
too short vert underutilized lacks content..how to see longer videos
Does a great job summarizing the information, succinct, easy to understand. The oder in which the information is presented makes it easy to remember.
He is a good educator.voice is so clear and not too fast or too slow.Best wishes sir.
I always love this guy! I totally get his sense of humor and he has the unique skill of taking any pedantic topic and making it interesting and fresh. Passed my GI exam with the score I wanted thanks to his voice in my head during the exam.
Excelente muchas gracias me gusto pude encontrar lo que buscaba.
Thank You sir i really enjoyed your lecture. i hope to see more lectures by you.
I think he is one of the top lectures that have a particularly unique way in gaining attention. Kudos
I really like this lecture, was to the point and i think PLAB oriented as well. all major topics where covered
This lecture was engaging, clearly explained and time efficient. It's really easy to memorize key information using this short video. Thank you!
me dio la idea general de como enfocar el diagnostico de ACV
queria puntos claves en el diagnostico y tratamiento, ademas de una vista panoramica antes de entrar al tema a estudiarlo por completo y me ha servido demasiado. muchas gracias
This is a really good overview of the previous discussions. The small mistake about radio-iodine uptake is Hashitoxicosis should be fixed, but the rest is pretty great.
Very clearly explained! Dr Raj is a wonderful professor. Thank you!
love your lectures especially your calm way of standing, speaking, teaching and sometime smiling among one of best teachersof mine
Excellent exhibitor, clear, concise in addition to excellent content very useful
Great explanation of how the direct and indirect test for different things and how they're useful--a nuance that is lost in First Aid.
Very interesting, simple explanation also of more complex topics, clinically relevant. I really enjoyed watching the lectures during my preparation for USMLE Step 2 CK and learned a lot!
Belabors the points quite succinctly! The approach is just the best for clinical dermatology!
i could understand what the doctor carlo raj is telling only because lecturio is providing subtitles and transcript of what he is speaking which is really helpful and very useful and i am really thankful for that to lecturio..........................
HE HAS TAKEN THE BEST EFFORT IN EXPLAINING THE TOPIC AND HAS PRESENTED IT WELL AND IN A STUDENT FRIENDLY MANNER.
Taken lot of effort to explain the details of the topic and to make us understand the difference between the two conditions: pemphigous vulgaris and bullous pemphigoid. it was a beautiful lecture.....
dr carlo raj has explained the topic very clearly and in a very point wise manner..........it was very helpful............
Excellent conference, everything is clear. A lot of information summarized in a conference clearly
the lecture was easy to understand and well done. i am feeling satisfied after listening to this lecture.
the lecture was simple and easy to understand. it was a good lecture.
BECAUSE DR CARLO RAJ IS SUCCESSFUL IN MAKING ME UNDERSTAND THE TOPIC. SENTENCES HE USED WERE NOT SO COMPLICATED AND IS SOMEWHAT EASY TO UNDERSTOOD.
I love Dr. Raj's style of teaching! Very clear and motivating introduction! My only recommendation would be to add diagrams along with the description of the receptors. I personally find them very helpful in remembering the downstream functions
clearly explained and organized then any teacher lecture I have attended . love the fact that you were able to explain important details in a short amount of time . I have learned more from these videos then hours of lecture
Muy buena ponencia, totalmente recomendado, solo me hubiera gustado ver un poco mas sobre encefalitis por priones.
The doctor speaks slowly, but covers the main components of the subject, explains their examples but is not as clear with common diseases as dwarfs.
Use 5 stars since the information within the video was clear and concise, in addition to explaining and comparing the various contraceptive methods I recommend this reading
Would like to see some discussion about investigations eg patch testing
This is a very good lecture for everyone, not just people studying medicine.
However, I would like to see patients or role playing to demonstrate the condition.
Very helpful work from Dr.Farrell, Thank you very much.
60 % of stage 4 patients develop metastasis in the brain. Why is it missing? Target-therapy with BRAFi Vermurafenib or Dabrafenib should be given in combination with MEK inhibitors. Both modern immunotherapy treatments are missing (CTLA4, PD-1). That are just the basics. Melanoma research developed fast and this video should be replaced by an updated version.
Interesting topics Amazing teaching with nice explanation ,and review questions
Very concise and accurate. The lecture is summarized well in a manner we can all grasp!
great explanation Few people have a talent in teaching. i think Dr Raj is one of them thank you so much
Hi, just curious as to why a video like "Normal Menstrual Cycle" is all the way at the bottom? The ordering of this entire gynae course, not just this "Abnormal Menstruation" section (which again, is the first section on the contents page), makes navigating and understanding the content more difficult. Would it be possible to re-order them?
Excellent explanation in every perceptive ! I would like to have a bit more pictures in the PPT !
very good and informative lecture. thank you for good explanation associated with the differential diagnosis
good and simple explanation however it would be more useful if there are examples for each lesion
Very clear concise and professional. I like this brand of teaching.
La información de la conferencia es muy practica y concisa , me revela nuevas cosas e inclusive me motiva a seguir investigando mas de fondo el tema. Gracias por su gran aporte Dr. John Fisher.
a lot of help a lot of help a lot of help ssssssssssssssssss
Dr. Raj is quite interesting during lectures he makes information easy to integrate and remember it. Thank you, Dr. Raj.
this is really clear, cuts to the chase, pleasantly taught
best professor in teaching until now Prof.Carlo because he explained everything in funny way and exicting way and attract me in the lecture wo being in another world
The videos and presentations arewell structereda nd easy to understand. I really enjoyed the way Brian Alverson delivers his presentations, but I would like to see a few more topics included on the neonatology list,
I really liked this course because the doctor repeated the most relevant information and was very professional and patient.
speaker contradicts himself several times an he not sure of what is written in slides example: in treatment of SAH he 1st mentions that watch for hypertesion hypervolumia and hemodilution then in next lecture he realized that HHH written in slides reffer to treatment strategy there are several other mistakes dont have time to elaborate also what ever is written in slides is not fully explained by speaker
not upto the mark lecturer laughing inappropriately and information not eplained properly
It os good but it is not the best I have ever seen
Dr Fisher is clear, succinct and his content is high yield
Way too much superficial on pathology. Slides are just lists: I can find this in books. I would have liked something like diagrams or drawings.
Very good presentation, i understand the concepts an the time for the diagnosis, thanks!
Excellent presentation of the content. He speaks in a clear and engaging manner.
Don't like the delivery very slow and need to play at 1.5 speed
I found it helpful the detailed information, and concise explanation of the thyroid patho physiology.
I really recommend it. Really punctual and easy to remember, this was a really hard topic for me to remember.
Absolutely love his method of teaching and going about the lecture! Very clear, keeps my concentration and straight to the point, one of my favorite lecturers in Lecturio!!
i found it awesome and coolio, boi it was amazeballs and eye opening
Me gustaría que hubiera subtítulos en español en cada vídeo. o contrataran traductores
Engaging presenter. Love the reinforcements of what is important to remember. Love that he includes DD and why those other DD can be ruled out. His lecture will stick.
Her lectures are easy and simple to understand, she really takes her time to explain especially with those real life situations examples.
Very good course!!! Sometimes the accent is a little difficult to understand, but I really liked it..
Great course. Love the clinical approach, the "medical student friendly" attitude, the extensiveness and completeness of the contents. Feels like half of the work is done even before opening the book and slides.
Good lecture! Maybe it should have been longer. Also, can't peripheral pulses get buldgy?
This lecture is very clear. It helps to understand the physiology of the disease
Dr Alverson is an expert in delivering the information not only for the test but for routine daily practice-
I'm nursing student and I find this very informative.Makes me motivated to step up to medicine. You are very engaging which makes your lecture not boring
I usually dislike older professors, but he explains very objectively and up to date.
Needed refreshing for step 2 ck. Other courses that I tried are exhausting , although the info offered are about the same.
It is clearl, comprehensive and simply explained. the content is well designed. the lecturer is friendly.
I liked it very much as an introduction to CVA and to bring it all together. I watched the entire series before studying with textbooks to fill in the blanks. Carlo Raj is making sure I know what's important. If you expected to be finished with CVA after watching a few videos you will be disappointed no matter what you choose to watch.
After reviewing Neuroanatomy in FA and Kaplan, it is fair to say this lecture has delved deeply in some accurate key points of visual pathways.I really admire the fact that you guys have put on some quizzes in the end but I was surprised to see a red flag that goes unnoticed. In one of the question about the right lower optic radiations from the 5 listed, I saw right after radiation Meyer's loop in parenthesis which is clearly a mistake when it comes to asking questions. In the exam, they won't give any clues to test takers because they will have figure out themselves whether or not it is either Meyer's or Non-Meyers' loop.
Easy to understand and remember. Straight to the point where students mostly get confused
Overall great but wish they had more info on Calcitonin action
Nice summary of most common rashes in children. Nice recap questions.
this lecture is great, good level of detail and well explained!
Clear emphasis was made, and the pace was easy for audience to follow
I think he explains the topic in a very detailed and helpful way.
It is a good review about pregnancy physiology, it help's remainding short but key concepts we must know.
Sometimes this guy makes me laugh because of the rhetorical questions but I appreciate it. The instruction and material presented is on point and precise. Great references to pathologies!
His teaching style is amazing! Emphasises on important topics well
Well-structured, with emphasis on high-yield pieces of info. Saves time for memorization
the more jokes the better. Keep it up . We need more details on diagnostic and therapy
I really lime the way of presentation and the quick test after that, because that challenge me to really pay attention to the lectures, but only one concern is about tha fast speaking, as a foreign is sometime a little difficult for me to get everything a one, because l need to replay the video, but for the rest, amazing work guys!!
Thank you for your inspiring lecture. Love is the most valuable lesson we can learn from our patients and our teachers.
Dr. Raj does a stellar job of explaining not only the disease but then giving great visualizations of what that patient will look like when they present for treatment. He is also great about pausing for a moment to let important information sink in. His pictures were very helpful as well as I am a very visual learner.
Veronica has such a nice and confident voice. This chapter has very useful questions too.
crystal clear concept.very helpful lecturer. His voice is also very attractive.
DR Carlo Raj is a great educator.very nice speech, clear concept of every topic.seems like I have a good private tutor and no need of books after watching his lecture.
an easy and clear concept in brief. His speech quality is sharp.
Dr Raj was concise with relevant clinical significance and the lectures were not too long.
Love this guy! Easy to listen to. Puts emphasis on important points. And occasionally says something surprisingly funny. "Rubber Baby Bumper Buggies" lol
It has the basic information taught in school. And it's focused on what's necessary for the USMLE. I suppose I wish there were more in-depth information for many of the diseases, or very recent advancements. However, this would be out of focus of the purpose of Lecturio
Structured and taught with comparisons and stressed contrasts in epidemiology/clinical presentation/imaging findings
To Gain A Better understanding of Pediatric Pulmonology. Very easy to understand.
it was a good video but nothing special. i liked the video because i noticed the effort
An excellent run through of stroke and tia that incorporates pathophysiology biochemistry clinical presentation and mx ...... great teaching thanks
Excellent means of simplifying a complex topic especially the numerous symptoms
Tons of mistakes in what seems to be all fields of Lecturio videos. It's a shame really. This one in particular goes on about the "virus" H. Influenzae. It's just tons of basic stuff that they really mess up. I wouldn't even use this as a free resource honestly.
Despite that Dr. Raj inaccurately recognized H. influenzae as a virus (which is actually a G(-) bacterium), he did a good job of engaging students in thinking and reflecting, while pointing out a general memory-aiding scheme ( e.g. common skin flora species being implicated in post-neurosurgery/penetrating trauma/CSF-associated meningitides) Having watched many of Dr Raj's videos (a med-student with high standards myself and always hateful of lackadaisical teaching styles of the MAJORITY of professors in my country), I have to say Dr. Raj exhibits excellent "mentor" qualities in a style of his own.
Great lecturer who is very knowledgeable about the subject matter. Pitch and tone is just what i need. Very test oriented. keep up the good job.
Dr. Raj is just too good, test oriented, very knowledgeable on subject matter. Must keep up this great attitude
Detailed and comprehensive lectures. Good overview of Alzheimer disease and pathophysiology
sometimes i don't like when he reading. it's feel like someone reading and i have to listen. i want him teach with his own words and talk without his script. anyway i thinks he summarizes very good and easy to understand.
Too basic, needs a lot more clinical information and more backround.
Very clear and concise. There was a large amount of clinical relevance
I chose this because it is brief but not that much explained deeply.
Great video. I just would like if it talk more about the similarity between receptors (Alpha units)
I still like Dr. Raj professionalism and high yield content. Very useful
high yield and very useful. I personally like Dr. Raj (professionalism, kind of humour and teaching skills). Readily helpful for me and my preparation to Step 1
Good review, focused on the points we don't have to miss on exam.
I want to know, the interpretation of other lectors on this subject.
Very good and well explained. I also was able to recall quite easily. Thanks.
Confusing, difficult to understand (too many synonymous names)- its difficult to comprehend what its meant with orthodromic etc.
He is reading the lecture and not elaborating much. Makes pauses that makes me sleepy and he is does not make it exiting to learn.
very concise and thorough explanations, good diagrams and charts. Thank you Thank you!!!
Lectures on this topic was clear and complete! I like how he highlights the important notes for exams
Everything is so well explained, he takes the time to put in his 2 cents from his own experience and highlights the high yield points for the exams. Not to mention any time I've asked a question, I've got an answer the very next day
Everything looks so easy with Dr. Raj I only see those videos one time and I did pretty well on my exam.Even though, you think it's not too much but this information it's like gold.
great lecture with sufficient information to answer all my questions
I'm done with the course, I like how dr. Raj explains high yield subjects and emphasizes on important things. I'm going through the Rheumatology course right now and and i like it even more he is more relaxed and more sympathetic there. However, there is still room for improvement, my advice for everyone, is to print out the lectures write what ever notes you want on them, AND CHECK THE ARTICLES! I'm amazed how well summarized and useful they are, you can always check them out from your smartphone, laptop even download them if you want and add your own notes. If you don't want so, then look for a clinical book (I personally recommend Davidson's ). If you still need to know more about dermatology I would recommend you to see the pediatric lectures on dermatology or Infectious lectures, just search for them here on the platform. Last thing, repetition is important go throughout the course speed up the lectures more than once.
i think there should be more information about impetigo regarding types(bollous, non bollous) and ddx . regarding ssss pictures and pathology should be added will be more helpful
Very nicely explained, but I would prefer with even more pictures, because it's a dermatology class.
very good and concise , made it very easy and simple to understand
conceptual... awesome...appreciated...i liked it very much...my concepts are cleared..thanks
Such a good learning experience, I dont know how I can get Dr. Brian Alversons contacts to personally thank him...because this has made me understand stuff within a 5 min video that lecturers in my university fail to teach me in a 2hr lecture.
Dr. Fisher is very thorough in explaining certain details but also very direct to point out important information.
not deep enough with this course. only topics about main disease..........
It covered high yield material , that was sufficiently explained in a timely fashion
It's not common that I was touched by an USMLE lecture, but I want to thank Dr.Alverson to remind me that what we are dealing is not just the disease but the human.
Dr. Raj explanation makes it simple and clear to understand!
These videos get in the point, summarize what are the important things to know in each topic for the test, and help me not to be saturated with all the information in the book.
Systematic and easily understood. I like case report in the beginning of lesson. It makes leassons more understandable and easier to memorize. Dr. Brian Alverson is a really good teacher. Thank you for your work!
clear and concise in explanation; content well-organized and presented in a way that is easy to absorb
This taught me... I was wondering one day while I was reading a Medical book, hmm what are seizures? Then I was looking all over the web found this website and went to Carlo Raj, MD for seizures this is just the beginning for me and I hope I like the rest of his videos.
Straight to the point! Thi lecture gives you basic need to know info
I watched most of the STD lectures. They are well explained and I really appreciate that. THANK YOU
talking in a soft tone attract to concentrate, precise, well aware of the information , many thx dr
Great lectures and a good refresher just before the exam date.
it's clear and simple, i like dr. raj so far.but there are other lesions that should be covered ( mainly secondary) and pictures should be added, it's a a dermatology course if we don't see we won't understand. i would suggest to add those things in the articles (which are amazing btw) if you want to keep the video simple
Great lectures in such a short time. I would listen to this series right before exams.
This is a very well planned out lecture on some well developed material. The doctor explained it well and even broke some of it down into a pneumonic. Very clever and well done!
That’s really cool.... Which is shows dr.brian experience.......he explains everything very detailed.....
I love the eminent Dr Carlo Raj. Very keen to get across the knowledge into all thick skulls.
I like the way he presents everything it seems a lot easy to follow, to relate and understand it.Learning has never been so enjoyable.
Enjoy those lectures, slides, etc I wish there are a lot of more question like the neurology course. Thanks, Dr. Alverson and Lecturio.
Everything is so easy to understand and really enjoy those lectures about seizures.
As I already commented it, Dr. Alverson, it's a great physician it's easy to understand every subject cover by him.The way he explains things that you are gonna see in practice and the exam are amazing.Highly recommend it Thank Dr. Alverson y lecturio.
This lecturer is fantastic in his presentations, clear pitch, clinically inclined and examination conscious only if most of the lecturers on this platform are like Dr. Raj
Thank you very much for this course. very helpful lectures.
Thank you for the lecture. very good and helpful. I recommend it.
This is so cool lecture ! So simple and clear view
Great teacher , loud and clear speaking and awesome pictures. Congrats!
Few clinical details for such an important course, not deep enough.
Bullet point to what you are supposed to know for doing very great in your examen as well the clinical practice. Keep going!!! I wish to see more course teaching by Dr. Alverson.
Thank you, Dr. Alverson, and Lecturio For such high-quality video and high yield material!!!!There is some missing subject that I would like to see like measle, or dengue fever but it's excellent this content cover by Dr. Alverson.
excellent, comprehensive, detailed and very focused dermatology lecture on high yield and clinically relevant material
I like her style of lecturing; she doesn't just read off the slides (like some lecturers on lecturio!) but explains it well.
so short and lack of case photos to real cases and sparing some topics and clinical examination
Just reading the slides. No explanation. No schematic drawing to show the involved areas or the characters of the diseases. No pathological sections, gross or microscopic.
Very good lecture! It flows nicely, and really helps you understand the process. It makes learning easy and interesting
Excellent summary for any medical student in their Dermatology practice.
Very easy to understand, high yield points and such a great teacher. Congrats ! =D
There is not enough clinical info , that could make this usefull even as a introductory lesson. And how can there not be a lecture about ALS?? I think Lecturio should step up to make this videos at the level of medical school, because this is really not enough . Most of this lectures are pathology oriented and are also not thought by the specialist of that field. Dr Carlo Raj is a pathologist not a Neurologist. So It would help if a Neurologist would teach the Clinical Neurology course.
i have read the article ... it is very well explained i really ...keep up the great work
very good video. Did not not know the relation to floppy baby and botulinum toxin.
Great emphasis with pitch and tone, clinically inclined and examination oriented lecture. Exclusively five star
I liked this lecture, it was short and very to point
i love the integration between concepts that is done by Dr. Raj, i still find him the best :D
Slow but comprehensive but not completely enticing. I dont think that this is sufficient for the boards.
Very well explained physiology and very important things in newborn examination.
i wish i knew him during my medical college education in the university. he is one of best lecturer i have ever seen.. totally recommend him to everyone as he crrelates clinical practice with basic knowledge :D
Superb quality, informative, rationale easy to comprehend. Thank you very much
Good lecture on inflamation of mucosa over middle ear cleft
Need to be more informative .. Need to add more high yield facts & information
Dr. Brian makes it so easy to understand with a lot of mnemotechnic and tells you what you gonna see in the real life as well for the exam. Thanks, Dr. Brian and Lecturio
I really like the way she explains everything it's so practical and her voice sounds great. They cover many topics.Definitely, recommend it.
The pediatric course of this lecturer(brian alverson) is the best course of Lecturio in my opinion. It is really thorough and of high quality. I would like to see the other courses and the future courses to be made just like this:) Thank you very much dr Alverson, really a great job!!
It was so well presented. The difficult made so simple and clear. Its like a wow factor I must say. Excellent skill.
now my act is as MD dermatologist really i feel very confidence after hearing his lectures i wanna say thank you so much
He moves quickly through the lectures but always pauses at the appropriate time for a moment of reflection prior to moving on.
I would definitely recommend the entire lecture series on Paedeatrics. The lecturer is very clear in making high yield points about each topic and everything is well explained. There is an effortless flow in his delivery, which ties in all the points made, in a nice orderly fashion. This makes it easy to wrap your head around the concepts being discussed.
One of the best lecture series on lecturio. However missing some topics such as measles
Awesome presentation. It is very explicit and concise. Even the books cannot explain it so well.
I don't think he's robotic at all. The way he talks keeps me engaged, better than most monotone professors I have in med school Excellent explanations. He is very articulate and knows how to tie facts together and emphasises on the key facts so you at least leave the video knowing what Atopic Dermatitis is about
Very good, very organized, very concise, very thorough, very complete.
Great walk through, the concepts are easy to understand and apply.
Very clear, hits high-yield points, somewhat entertaining too. Very passionate lecturer.
I really enjoyed his lectures. He is very clear at high-yield points. His passion and sense of humor make the lectures very enjoyable and entertaining. Thank you, Dr. Raj.
Very conscise and get to the point at each topic/secsion/
I would like to see a little more depth and interventions added to the complications The presentations are very clear Thanks
The content is clear and easily understood . It's also very straightforward and doesn't contain unnecessary stuffs
The breakdown of the material is well explained in simple terms.
Like the way, he explains everything very good.Definitely recommend it
its very helpful and informative many students can prepare for exam throught it
I think this is a great app! Just wondering if this app/info applies to the Family Nurse Practitioner board exam as well? Thanks much! Stephanie K
nice summary of the condition of pediatric polycystic kidney disease
It's too advanced, for beginners. This is the only video that matches Robbins and Cotrans for hemostasis, but you just added new videos today.
Very comprehensive!! Excellent lecture. I like the focus on preparing for the boards:) Many thanks!
Key elements were clearly identified. He kept it simple while giving most of the pertinent information a physician should know about.
very good slides and explanations! Nice voice to listen to
very resourceful for routine labs . i found it necessary and helpful
I work as an MD at the neurology department at Herlev Hospital, Copenhagen. I was looking for inspiration before I was supposed to do a lecture on CNS infections myself, for the medical students and young doctors at the department. Your lectures are not even close to being good enough or sufficient - there are WAY to many details left out, plus, explanations and clinical relevance is almost none. I couldn't use it at least, and had to dig deeper in my old books and in other lectures. Moreover, I don't get the way the lecturer speaks... he pronounces some words with a weird emphasis on specific words - making you almost feel stupid...
Great overview. Wish that dermatology covered more topics, though. I enjoyed this overall. I like the transcript section. It allows me to review the material and read the speakers words verbatim. This is wonderful for all types of learning.
He is very clear and specific .Is important to know anatomy and pathology to understand his lecure an be able to respond thearlier questions
not good at all poor presentation lack of information sorry but this is the truth
I like the lecture but tend to give highlights, good if concepts are explained in details and visual teaching aids included.
Very informative and concise.. with application of info on real case analysis
Good overview, hits on most important images. More detail about physiology behind why images present as such would have been good.
Horrible Lecturer. Teaching Cant be this way, unfortunately! I hope someone else takes over.
This playlist was named: Musculoskeletal, Skin, and Connective Tissue—Pathology. But only skin pathology is covered, there are no musculoskeletal and connective tissue pathology videos... and they can't be found elswhere either.
Well explained. If you want to learn something quickly and don't have enough time for exam. This is for you.
Thank you very much Dr Brian!!!! for getting an (A) in pediatric.Really appreciated.
The lectures cover all aspects of each specific disease in a well-organized fashion. Concise and clear explanations .Understandable English language.Excellent lectures for basic and clinical correlations. Most of the questions are clinical vignettes which are informative too.No distractions that is no loss of concentration through the lecture.Although The big picture with comparison between the different diseases worth a separate lecture.
this lecture was great, the Doctor has an amazing teaching skill!
Very easy to understand and a good review for SLE labs. Anybody could be able to understand
This course well explained, but it was less interactive when compared to the others given by herself. That is why I cannot assign a 5 star.
I love how he directly emphasizes main points with repetition and gives details of differentials. He is very direct and to the point, no wasted time.
5 star lecturer! I enjoy every moment watching the videos. All med students should subscribe this app!
she reads everything from the slides ....her courses are really boring
Not detailed enough in concepts. Mostly comprised lists of pathologies/syndromes. less emphasis on conceptual development
This lecturer is inarticulate and speaks very fast. I'm having difficulty keeping up with him.
His lectures are related 100 percent to First Aid that's always helpful
it was very informative and easy to understand i the way he teaches is pretty much easier to understand and then refering a book becomes so easy as a cup of tea ....:p
Really enjoy Dr. Alverson's approach to teaching. I like how he goes into important details and remains enthusiastic and clear with his explanations.
allow i just wanna give five stars innit yes yes yes
I think this lecture lack of details and certain points needed as introduction
very nice explanation and helpful information, thank you for the knowledge shared here
Dr Alverson is absolutely brilliant. His methods of explaining, and the slide content are both very good!
This guy is very straight forward and clear. Very Helpful.
These peds lecture series are simply the best!! I would give 10 starts if I could
Dr Alverson he teaches very well.Easy to understand and really helpful for examen, the ward and the real life practicing medecine.I wish i have professor like that.
I like it very much, He focused in all the important topics, and presented it very excellently, I recommend this app for all my friends.
Every course on lecturio is really good but pediatric with all my respect it's the best.Difficult concepts are easy to remember and understand.Really like it!!!!!!!!
i really enjoyed watching all the videos. Very educational and well explained.
This is a very clear and concise lecture about Adrenal Insufficiency.
Clear explanation. Made easy to remember. I would recommend to who ever would like to learn medicine.
Dermatology course challenge is that either everything looks like either dermatitis or lupus. Dr. Raj delivers the course in a concise and straight forward manner. I had no problem with his diction and/or pronunciation. Also, his interactive way of asking in every video, helps you maintain a sort of active learning during the passive learning of hearing the lecture. All doubts clarified.
Concise, easy to understand, well prepared slides. Good pace on the lectures and easy to follow
He repeating many important points and internal diseases that correlate with adrenal medulla. I would recommend him to many people as a lecturer.
The lecture was a little hard to follow. The speaker seems a little nervous.
he doesn't know how to teach ,, with all my respect !
Thank you Dr. Alversion. I really appreciate your lectures. They were very precise.
Really thorough lectures. Helpful pathophysiology and lots of helpful pictures. I wish every other lecture from other speakers could be like this! Thanks!
I really appreciate the course. It's short and precise. I highly recommend it to medical students
Very concise and to the point. Clarified many aspects that were confusing for me. Also the topic reviews are incredibly useful.
Every lecture on lecturio are excellent but pediatric lecture is something more.Easy to understand with lot of high yield concept for the Usmle step2
Clear, well explained and classified. The way he associates concepts is quite helpful for studying
Watching these is clearer, more concise, and far more efficient than going to any of my lectures. I easily learn in 5-10 minutes of watching Dr Raj what I would struggle to pick up in an hour of lectures at medschool.
Great lecture! Very detailed and I understood it with ease. I'm looking forward to the other lectures.
its really good but kind little short the doctor did good job specially emphasis on important parts
The simple way to explain a boring topic, great job Dr, Brian
The MSE is clearly explained in this video. Thank you very much!
Really helpful, very clear both for didactic & clinical parts. Thanks!
important points are marked and forces one to be carefull of the whole sentence
tnx sir for this nice video..help me lotttttt.tnx again.
concise, really easy to listen to. Gave salient points very well. Loved the pause for thought on the red flag of having a staph aureus urinary tract infection.
Key points were identified quickly. The reinforcement of critical thinking is great!
The speaker reminds me of the doctor on the show "scrubs" and makes this more entertaining for me. LOL. but seriously its informative and interesting.
Clarity, specificity, definitive, flawless style, overall lecture is eloquently delivered.
please find a substitute for Dr.Carlo Raj it is really difficult to communicate with his accent
I am a high school biology student and this helped me so much thank you!
Very comprehensive. It helps me have a good idea in advance to my Microbiology classes
Average, alright, acceptable, fair, reasonable, of an acceptable standard, overall underwhelming
First of all, love the option to choose the speed of the video clip. Secondly, it was smartly taught, no matter which type you are, from visual to auditory-learner, you are going to understand and learn it easily. I also loved Dr. Fisher's (the lecturer) teaching style, brief description for medical terms, mentioning important DDx, plus his tone and not having specific accent.
Very clearly explained. Doctor Raj makes things easy and entertaining. Thank you. PS: i love how he connects the theory with the clinical practice.
Difficult to understand. Annoying accent. Difficult to concentrate on the lecture due to his presentation style.
understandable and makes sense, teaches more than required for the boards.
Very concise, highlighted important concepts, easy to understand and remember. Good visual presentation, and good control of the length of each topic, not too lengthy. I also like that each topic finishes with some questions to help grasping take home messages
Great lecturer with great explanations with emphasis on the important notes.
Dr. Raj is probably one of the best video lecturers out there! His ability to keep me engaged, visualize topics, present them in an organized fashion, and integrate concepts from other topics is amazing! Keep up the good work.
Well explained overview of the process behind the newborn exam, as well as what common abnormalities you may find. Especially found the neuro section helpful.
Well explained overview of the process behind the newborn exam, as well as what common abnormalities you may find.
Thank you for your very helpful lecture on this topic, which is a very upsetting one. I appreciate your expertise and thank you for the work you do.
Great practical advice on a difficult topic. Helped me to understand how forensic interviews are conducted. Thank you.
Interesting but a little light on my point of view. I am a resident working in France to become an emergency doctor and honestly i would have enjoy to have a differential diagnosis guide between erysipelas and DVT for instance or other similar looking skin disorders. Often receiving elderly patients at emergency, it is sometimes hard do make a difference (clinically i mean) between erysipelas and "ocre dermite" also called purpuric angiodermatitis, part of post thrombotic syndrome. What about the "portal of entry" in erysipelas we have to look for? what about the difference in aspect between cellulitis and erysipelas, one having more delimited and visible border than the other? Anyway thank you for this lecture :)
making concept in few time ..quite easy with vedio lecture
The overall quality is good. But what about diseases like ALS, I dont understand why a important disease like this are not covered in the clinical neurology course. And there are couple of other diseases also. I hope that lecturio fixes this issues in the near future.
very simple lectures, not clarifying the important details.. although well organised
this is a good review as per someone taking USMLE step 1, but for being able to tackle the questions of step 2ck, we need more information! we need management algorithms, verbal explanations, reasons behind the symptoms. all of it was lacking. slides were ok.
Very helpful, concise, and overall great lectures!! I'm excited to complete other courses!
Good teacher But as I said he need to extend his lectures and give the topics an appropriate time Not only 5 minutes
Good teacher But I hope he will give the topic more time ( give him time please) Some topics need more than 5 minutes Please
Good lecture. The talking is very smooth and continuous not robotic like it sometimes tends to be the case with Dr.Raj. Excellent! Good explanation of the terms and the difference between atopic and contact dermatitis! Some more elaboration on treatment options, including non-pharmacologic and the role of allergen testing (should you do it or not?) would be a good addition.
I like his explanation and also him demonstrating techniques or anatomic locations on his own body, however the diction feels very unnatural. This is in all the videos. Can that be improved? It becomes grating to listen to over time and speeding up the video doesn`t do much to improve it.
veryyyyyyy informative thanks lots!! it was very intersting i learnt so much
A very bad lecture. Mistakes that can not be said lecture after lecture
Thanks so much for this great info about asthma Thanks Waleed
it is really very helpful app for pharmacy students also
The approach to pediatric neurology here was quite easy to understand and the topic reviews helped a lot.
The assessments for the drug and alcohol abuse section was well delivered and easy to understand.
It is very usefull and interesting course for pediatricians and students.
Easy to understand. I recommend adding more information regarding medication such as what kind of systemic seroid we are using.
very clear explanation and easy to understand great examples and easy to follow
With this course in addition to UWorld questions, I was able to progressively increase my NBME Clinical Science Mastery Practice shelfs from a 74 to a 96% on the last shelf I took. Love the fact that videos are short, to the point and explained in a simple, yet memorable way. I was able to listen to these lectures in the car on my way to and from my Peds clerkship.
I like it because it highlighted the basic concepts and the tutor made it interactive by asking questions in between the lectures allowing thinking process. The tutor also simplified it. I enjoyed it.
Dr Raj was very specific and detailed in a very little time which makes the lecture interesting.
I liked the clarity with which the topic was dealt with
Explains it to a point where the visual pathway is simple.
Fantastic talk but would have liked further information on non-pharmacological treatment and also the role of allergen testing
I find one of the challenging aspects of dermatology is to keep in the various ddx for "similar" looking presentation. The way these lectures are set out has been very useful to have a few ddx to think about when facing a pt with a rash!
Great talk I would have liked to hear further discussion on the use preventative strategies, duration of treatment for tetracyclines and retininoids as well as mention of OCP in females.
I found this really helpful and easy to follow. Gave me a better understanding of a lot of things that weren't clear before now. I wish Rickets was included in the hypocalcemia topic. But overall, very satisfied. Thank you
The lectures does not go in depth about each types of disease
Only addition to the pyelonephritis lecture and the use of imaging would also be if the patients symptoms have not improved following 48 to 72 hours of Abx use!
I'd would have like to know where western blots fit in the diagnostic pathway. I think in Australia after positive confirmation of p24 go on to perform westernblots. Also what about the impact the window period has and the new for follow up testing? Finally it would have been good to discuss what is considered to be as treatment failure with HAART.
Very comprehensive discussion. It would have been worthwhile to talk about criteria for starting treatment for chronic Hep B (e.g DNA count vs symptoms and livers functions). Also unclear if treatment of HepB is curative. The hepatitis talks did not mention genotypes of Hep C at all which is important for treating the condition, particularly in countries where access to direct acting antivirals is not available. Finally the talks didn't mention what percentage of patients with chronic Hep B and C go on to develop cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.
Good coverage but can be improved further. I would have liked to also see a talk on the parasitic causes of diarrhoe and management of those. Also not sure how we would go about dx salmonella. Wasn't very clearly stated in the lecture
Dr Fisher is my favourite lecturer so far of the internal medicine talks. The discussions are detailed and I don't feel key points are omitted. He is an old school lecture who communicates succinctly and effectively!
I really enjoyed the lectures on CNS infection, very comprehensive and knowledge delivered at a good level. I particularly loved the personal clinical reflections. I will never forget the story about the patient with bread mold infection of the face! Wow!
I think the Proffesor make everything so easy and clear. Thank you
Good talk on the topic but could be improved by discussion management and when you may consider surgical evacuation vs watch and wait. Also no mention of chronic subdural haematoma.
I'm not sure if this topic will be covered in neurosurg but serious detail lacking. First of all no definition what a raised ICP is and how best to diagnose. No clear explanation of the underlying cause ie mass effect (tumour, abscess), vascular (hypoxia, hypercapnia, venous flow obstruction), hydrocephalus (obstructive vs none), pseudotumor cerebri. It would have been useful to discuss shunts in the treatment as well and when you may consider inserting them
Again a really comprehensive coverage of this topic. I would like in the future for a discussion regarding the use of mini-mental state examinations as it is an important part of the work up of a patient with memory impairment. I was surprised not hear about the cautious use of neuroleptics in Lewy body dementia. I would have like to learn more about the clinical utility of neuroimaging and when you would use them? Finally, It would have also been good to tackle prion disease
Really comprehensive talks on the various movement disorders. I would have liked to see video examples of each movement disorders for completeness
NICE LECTURE GOOD DOCTOR PERFECT PRESENTATION Perfect website thank you very very very very much
As a NP now in medical school the high yield focus of the lectures are so important to me. Keep it focused, love it.
A truly comprehensive coverage of this topic. Really impressed with how much information is included and the systematic approach to formulating a ddx
Good summary of the topic but would have been also good further discuss some of the immunosuppresive agents and fingolimod. In the dx workup section the use of MRI was also omitted
I really enjoyed the overall topic. Good balance of detail. What I suggest for future revisions is to expand the criteria for when you would prescribe AED for example aside from 2 eps pts with focal abnormalities or underlying conditions that cannot be remedied or patients with abnormal EEGs may be started on these agents. Furthermore, impact on driving and occupation could have also been included. Finally, I would love to see a separate section focused secondary cause of seizures.
It would have been good to further discuss migraine headaches and tensions headaches. I would have like to learn more about the features of aura (incl scotomas). Moreover, a discussion on what constitutes medication overuse headache is warranted given the ease of access to OTC analgesics. Finally an opportunity has been missed to discuss if which circumstances you would consider the use of prophylactic therapies
Not sure if there will further talks on haemorrhagic stroke but significant omissions evident. For example target for BP lowering, discussion of management of complications incl vasopasm, raised ICP, seziure prevention. Work up of patient wasn't clear ie the use of lumbar punctures in high clinical suspicions but ct equivocal
I enjoyed the series on ischaemic stroke but it would have been great to discuss in more depth the secondary management of stroke in particular blood pressure targets and agents with the most supportive evidence for use (e.g ACE-I). I also note that there was an omission about the best way to manage BP in the acutely hypertensive patient post stroke. Despite theses as always good taster of the topic. I appreciate the challenge of work that goes into producing these contents
Absolutely my favorite lecture so far! It was really informative, yet left me craving more. The way you explained it was easy to understand (I am a pre-nursing student). Thank you and great job!
GOOD lecture, it has the most important key points. i like it very much
Excellent presentation style-- he adds a bit of drama to it, which makes the topic more engaging and memorable.
Perfect, quick overview, ideal for the short presentation I am preparing on this disease!
good explanation ye ye ye ye ye ye ye ye ye ye
good summary. The presentation should be updated to include sodium-glucose transport proteins (SGLT2) inhibitors like dapagliflozin.
I liked this video much better than the last. :) Maybe it's because he starts to feel more comfortable in front of the camera.
I agree with the above review. As knowledgable and nice as he may be, the flow isn't there. It's very robotic.
very helpful but it would be more if there is a more vivid descriptions
Amazing explanation of the diagnostic pathway for adrenal insufficiency. The talk was clear and concise! Thank you
One of the best talks I have come across describing the algorithm for diagnosis of cushings (superior to Kaplan and med study internal medicine lectures). It would have also been good to discuss the advantages/disadvantages of 24 hr urine collections vs low dose dexamethasone suppression test. Seriously good work though Dr Raj!
Excellent explanation, detailed enough to understand the main pathways and its regulation
Really enjoyed refreshing my knowledge in this area. Good explanation of the physiology, dx, signs and symptoms and Rx
Very good way of teaching and explanation is clear to the key points, thank you Dr.Carlo Raj!
Good table but a discussion of subsequent investigations to further characterise the nodule is warranted. For example following up a cold nodule with U/S guided FNA . The algorithm wasn't took clear for example starting with thyroid function test, followed by iodine uptake and further imaging/biopsy
Great lectures and a great lecturer. however missing lower respiratory tract infections. Would be nice if there was some tropical infections included too
not up to date. please read my note about the updates in approach
There are fundamental errors in the video. please do something about it.
Dr Fisher is the best teacher I have ever learned from. All concepts explained very clearly, with lots of great clinical tips thrown in as well. It is a pleasure to watch his lectures.
I found this course to be comprehensive, well-presented and useful. It's great for reviewing topics thoroughly, and made further readings easy to follow as made a nice base to hang all the little details onto. Thank you!
I really liked this lecture and learned a lot. He broke it down and explained things simply without being condescending, and I found his examples to be easy to remember.
The lecture was concise and to the point. Dr Carlo's Style of lecturing always provides the right amount of emphasis, and his use of anecdotes help in visualising the patient. Any Iecture by Dr. Carlo Raj Is always highly recommended.
The content is very didactic and narrated well. I like the well formed curriculum. I do not like the technichal format being very user unfriendly, better to join parts of a subject rather dividing to endless subcategories. Will warmly recomend to my fellows in trainng
Great job, clear and nice presentation. I found it very helpful for me to understand pediatric.
To the point and repetitive, which helps a lot with making sense of confusing differentials.
Simple is better! Straight to the key-points and very well discussed!
Short and informative and clear and easy-to-digest and reconsolidation of information takes a shorter time and stays for a longer time compared to huge lectures
The lectures provide a wide vision of the endocrine system, Dr. Raj make it easier and absolutely complete with clinical correlations.
Comprehensive lecture, well laid out and explained. Explaining of the moro reflex was very useful particularly what is considered abnormal. Really love this paeds lecture series by Brian Alverson
very interesting lecture especially with all the details about sounds and secondary signs mentioned.
It's a very nice lecture Very clear.. Informative I recommend it strongly
the professor should smile a bit :) His tone is scary at times.
I didn't like the lecturer he is like screaming and shouting in my opinion
I loved that You explained every part of the clinical and physical examinations and gave examples of why is important and what can you diagnose with that, for me it's always easier to learn if I can connect things.
Such a helpful presentation. The most important points of Asthma diagnosis and management in minutes. sure I recommended to my colleges. Thank you, doctor.
It is very important to have a better diction and prosody
I like this lecture very much but still it didnt cover all things about diabetes. We need more lectures of it???? And i have a suggestion for you, its good and easier if doctors draw and write or use board while explaining. My regards, Al Zahraa
Great lecturer. I like how he stops and quizzes the listener in such a matter of fact way. Very engaging and you get mad at yourself when you don't know :).
Precise use of terms and definitions Practical suggestions with no information overload References of landmark publication or concise textbooks on the domain discussed will strenghten the reader's interest.
I like his way to explain. He did not mention if these are 1ry or 2ry lesion. There is no pic.
The explanation is up to the point and very precise, love each one of the video this doctor had conducted. :)
I liked the vídeos becase they are like a quick view of a topic, the general stuff and really important. I would like more photos, maybe clínica cases to practice and not to be so general in the treatment
Said by a old MD (58) you can count on it Dr Raj has the gift, the talent to focus on what really matters but most of all after many years it was the first time that I was amazed by specific tips I never took in consideration . Thanks Dr Raj thanks Lecturio I shall die less ignorant
great content, straight forward, easy to remember. thank you. Dr. Raj is the best
Dr. Raj knows what I need to know because he has been where I am right now. The integration is what makes the part of Dr. Carlos patho. amazing. He went to the same medical school I am attending right now, so, that for me, is nothing short of amazing. Nothing against lecturio physio., but they need to take a page from Dr. Carlos, and integrate, integrate, and integrate. You can never have too much of integration at this level.
Great approach to the material and logical steps to learning.
