von Tracey N W. am 06. Oktober 2020 für 12 Cranial Nerves and Their Functions
Good clinical relevance and good explanation of their course and source. Very complete and short.
I expected more...
von Chrisk M. am 28. September 2020 für Clinical Neurology
The clinical neurology series does not contain the amount of clinical information that is expected on the neuro-ward. Also, I really didn't learn anything new, this is all anatomy and some pathology, pre-med/ freshmen level kind of knowledge really.
Proposals:
- Example/demonstration of clinical examinations. (Most important skill in neurology)
- More relevant, clinical information.
I do understand that these lectures can not substitute clinical classes, or lectures at an auditorium given by specialist in the field. Nevertheless, lecturio is advertised as such. Curious if this sub-par product is for the clinical neurology only, or other courses that are supposed to be for senior students, having clinical duties and board exams.
Best regards.

Content of the lectures were useful especially when breaking down the components of each nerve.
However, much of the lectures consisted of reading from slides which is entirely pointless as i can do that myself. It would also have been handy to include clinical testing techniques for each nerve as these will be important tests for us as doctors

COURSE IS WELL DESIGNED , SHORT SEGMENT WITH QUESTIONS ALLOWING BETTER ASSIMILATION
von Micius T. am 08. April 2018 für Pediatric Neurology
Needed refreshing for step 2 ck. Other courses that I tried are exhausting , although the info offered are about the same.

???????????????????????? you guys made my test today easier, i had no struggle at all. It was an oral test, i made it short and sweet thanks to you
Needs more details
von Alexander R. am 10. März 2018 für Cranial Nerve VII: Facial Nerve
Way too general, you need to go into more details and explain more
not enough
von Miyako U. am 19. Januar 2018 für Clinical Neurology
not deep enough with this course.
only topics about main disease..........
Nice work. Systematic and easy to understand.
von Marijana K. am 10. Januar 2018 für Pediatric Neurology
Systematic and easily understood. I like case report in the beginning of lesson. It makes leassons more understandable and easier to memorize. Dr. Brian Alverson is a really good teacher. Thank you for your work!
high yield material.
von James A. am 23. Dezember 2017 für Pediatric Neurology
Everything is so easy to understand and really enjoy those lectures about seizures.
Not detailed
von Mikel P. am 17. Dezember 2017 für Clinical Neurology
Few clinical details for such an important course, not deep enough.
Really well presented
von Shayan A. am 13. Dezember 2017 für Neurologic and Psychiatric Emergencies
I like her style of lecturing; she doesn't just read off the slides (like some lecturers on lecturio!) but explains it well.
sparing essential parts
von ahmed k. am 12. Dezember 2017 für Clinical Neurology
so short and lack of case photos to real cases and sparing some topics and clinical examination
Not enough clinical info !!
von zao l. am 06. Dezember 2017 für Clinical Neurology
There is not enough clinical info , that could make this usefull even as a introductory lesson. And how can there not be a lecture about ALS??
I think Lecturio should step up to make this videos at the level of medical school, because this is really not enough . Most of this lectures are pathology oriented and are also not thought by the specialist of that field. Dr Carlo Raj is a pathologist not a Neurologist. So It would help if a Neurologist would teach the Clinical Neurology course.
Good explanation!!!
von James A. am 26. November 2017 für Neurologic and Psychiatric Emergencies
I really like the way she explains everything it's so practical and her voice sounds great. They cover many topics.Definitely, recommend it.
Neuro is not that bad!
von Santiago R. am 15. November 2017 für Cranial Nerve IV: Trochlear Nerve
I find verything related to the brain and nerves to be very difficult to understand, but Dr. Canby makes it easy to get and this makes the whole learning process far more enjoyable.
I don't know if it's just me but when I really like the lessons and the teacher, its much easier for me to pay attention and keep on listening.
Amazing
von Vasil M. am 03. November 2017 für Cranial Nerve XII: Hypoglossal Nerve

von Maria K. am 22. Oktober 2017 für 12 Cranial Nerves and Their Functions
Very comprehensible lectures! Thank you so much! Now I know the cranial nerves!
More info
von Yara A. am 19. Oktober 2017 für 12 Cranial Nerves and Their Functions
Consider adding more information and content to the video especially in the clinical section
stop reading off the slides and actually explain something
von laith h. am 08. Oktober 2017 für Cranial Nerve X:Vagus Nerve
If I needed someone to read off the slides for me I'd just go back to my actual med school professor
Short and Sweet
von William J. am 25. September 2017 für Cranial Nerve IV: Trochlear Nerve
Concise and easy to understand as always! The trochlear nerve only innervates the superior oblique muscle, but Dr Canby's diagrams are excellent - far better than what we use in lectures! I'm a happy student!
Great resource
von Hudanur Z. am 22. September 2017 für 12 Cranial Nerves and Their Functions
Dear Prof Canby,
Thank you for taking the time to create this resource.
I did enjoy it and I found it easy to follow.
During the first few lectures, I was hoping for more information on some of the muscles which were involved, and towards the end of the course, you included pictures of the muscles with their attachments which were very helpful.
Thank you for including the clinical considerations too.
I needed to search some information myself, such as the meaning of general somatic / visceral afferents / efferents, online. I had not studied this before. You began clarifying the role of these towards the end of the course, e.g. general somatic efferent has motor control. This was helpful in consolidating the meaning these terms. A bit more information in the beginning may have been helpful.
I look forward to viewing more of your lectures.
Best wishes,
Hudanur
Very clear discussion
von Peter R. am 07. Juli 2017 für Mental Status Exam
The MSE is clearly explained in this video. Thank you very much!
Dr.Carlo Raj
von Miromid S. am 15. Juni 2017 für Clinical Neurology
please find a substitute for Dr.Carlo Raj
it is really difficult to communicate with his accent
The best medical teaching video.
von Mina A. am 11. Juni 2017 für Bacterial Meningitis: Diagnosis & CSF Findings
First of all, love the option to choose the speed of the video clip.
Secondly, it was smartly taught, no matter which type you are, from visual to auditory-learner, you are going to understand and learn it easily.
I also loved Dr. Fisher's (the lecturer) teaching style, brief description for medical terms, mentioning important DDx, plus his tone and not having specific accent.
its pathology, not medicine.
von Sachin K. am 19. Mai 2017 für Clinical Neurology
this is a good review as per someone taking USMLE step 1,
but for being able to tackle the questions of step 2ck, we need more information!
we need management algorithms, verbal explanations, reasons behind the symptoms.
all of it was lacking.
slides were ok.
Very useful video
von Maria Gracia S. am 10. Mai 2017 für Overview of the Cranial Nerves I—VI and Their Functional Components
I choosed this rating because it explains the topic very well, and I also like the clarification of the functions of a nerve.
I thought the lectures were excellent.
von Jennifer O. am 26. April 2017 für Pediatric Neurology
The approach to pediatric neurology here was quite easy to understand and the topic reviews helped a lot.
Boring
von Shirley E. am 18. April 2017 für Cranial Nerve IV: Trochlear Nerve
The information is sound but he's boring, He does not make the material interesting. I find it hard to pay attention or not fall asleep during his lectures and therefore i do not do well with the quizzes.
very thorough......good pace of presentation
von Jesse R. am 14. Juli 2016 für 12 Cranial Nerves and Their Functions
I enjoyed this presentation quite a bit. I feel like the information will be well remembered thanks to the excellent delivery.
