End-of-life care is a vital component of primary care that focuses on providing compassionate, comprehensive care for patients in their final stages of life. The ability to guide patients and families through advance care planning, facilitate difficult conversations, and ensure dignified care requires both clinical expertise and advanced interpersonal capabilities.

Building upon foundational knowledge in internal medicine, geriatrics, and medical ethics, this course develops practical skills in advance directive discussions, hospice care coordination, and culturally sensitive communication. These competencies are critical for providing patient-centered care that honors individual values and wishes while navigating complex family dynamics and diverse cultural perspectives.
