I really appreciate how you not only go through the exam questions but also explain the thought process behind each answer, highlighting why it's right or wrong. The way you break down the logic truly enhances understanding. I wish all explanations and videos were presented in this clear and pedagogical way. Thank you so much for making this!

Through this series I have learnt principles on tackling questions and studying for an exam. I have also learnt how to study with a Question bank effectively. As an IMG,,,, our instructors, as well trained as they are, aren’t always the easiest to understand. Having Lecturio explain thing quickly, concisely and clearly spoken makes a world of difference for my understanding.
It is useful for every student and some professionals. Sometimes we need to remember simple rules and principles.

Many thanks for your course. I am an romanian 53 years old doctor, retired now for medical problems (a very strange epilepsy) , and I enjoyed remembering medicine subjects. I worked in Spain in medical SPAs and we are obliged now to stay at home because of COVID 19, so I was curious of what Internet has for doctors now. It is very useful your course for all the students and also for the doctors who want to work in United States, so I will recommend it to all the people who will ask for my opinion. Maybe my english is not perfect, but the course was clear and insisted in remediation of the errors at the evaluation, so I could memorize the good answers. Thank very much, form all my heart! I wish you a lot of students and doctors!

I really learned a great deal of new information from the material included in this review. I also was able to reinforce information that I already know. I liked the step-by-step walkthrough conducted for each question. I really liked that the instructor reviewed all response options then covered high yield information pertaining to the correct answer. The time I spent learning about the 30 different cases included in this review was very useful. Please provide us with more of these types of reviews. Thank you for your time, effort and expertise. I am grateful for and truly value the experience.
Helpful, he explains the key points satisfactorily. Any student who follows this can improve their test scorers.
Is it possible to have a section containing this video explanation format with hundreds of them ? Like an entire USMLE exam ? I would keep my subscription ongoing in that case It is by far the most useful part of your service !
Recomendo este aplicativo a todos aqueles que sonham em exercer esta profissão.
Dr. Hajighasemi-Ossareh is so clear and authentic. I am grateful for the advice, and have taken all of it to heart.
Totally one of the best patient interactions and physical examinations I have seen in a whle
Great explanations, very well discussed by the narrator. Given my experience with COMLEX,and in hospital this is a great discussion on myasthenia gravis.
Absolutely high yield in hospital medicine. Often in hospital emergency department would find you can make a DKA dx with history and physical with the lab tests confirming the suspicion. This is an extremely valuable review and high-yield information for anybody working in hospital. Know how to treat and manage DKA upon admission, firstly the fluids and insulin. The rest you can learn or review within a few minutes of recognition. But have to recognize immediately to treat your patient.
I enjoyed watching the short videos which give you a clear understanding. At the end of each lectio we reinforce our knowledge.
It looks like its a really good platform im exited haha
The only problem with these videos was there were very less of them. I love how the information was broken down yet all information came back all together Moreover, these lectures helped me with the thought process (how a USMLE STEP 1 student should think) Please sir upload more... Thank you
this is a very thorough lecture. I was able to understand easily from this video. Thank you
Tutorials are highly effective bcz How to think a clinical case is well described
I love it!!! I am learning what details are important and which are distractors. I am learning how to answers two steps and difficult one step questions. I which you had many more tutorial questions. Thank you! Catherine
Indeed he explained perfectly, the best way of learning, and information retention
It was excellently explained and although I am already in year 4 in Russia I have perfectly understood the way medical schools work in the US and I got many ideas to become one of the best doctor ever
Those videos are very helpful for developing clinical sence...How to approach a clinical case is well explained in every video and high yield facts....Need more tutorials for both step 1 & 2...From my friend , i knew about this app..
I loved this lecture to the core. Clear and detailed explanation.Thank you.
Its a good source to who wants to hear on the go
Fantastic idea.I like it very much.It will be great if you will cover all topic for USMLE by this way.It helps me very much.
I’ve been doing a lot of questions and lectures with other sources , unfortunately I felt that I was completely stuck, after my 3rd NBME. So I decide to try something new: Lecturio. So far, with the Qbank walkthrough tutorials, I’ve learnt a lot and I realize that the reason behind my slow improvement was simply a poor test taking strategy issue. Now I’m learning how to approach each question methodically and yes I can feel the improvement coming soon.
Its informative with easy to understand way of explanation and cover all major aspects of that question
A very informative and mind provoking lecture.I think its a key to do well in med school.
The sleep schedule and learning techniques were quite enlightening and informative
Very useful for me, a student medical , thanks for Kevin Ahern
In my opinion these concept are totally necessary. Great video
Because it really worked for me and now i’m able to manage my timetable and study well. Big thanks to team lecturio !
La idea es buena, da puntos clave, pero aplicado a México, es un panorama distinto, pero muy bien el video
As an entering m1 , I found this to be Great advice, very beneficial to me! I thought I knew it all in undergrad, but one week into med school has taught me I have a long way to go
I liked it very much with all the tips info what to do and warnings thank you lecturio
This on line question and discussion is very helpful for all type of students, hoping you will provide this service out of cost that will be beneficial for most of the students who have finiancial problems
This lecture is very good and recommended to all pre-med students!
I reviewed some step2 Qpank questions,,, I like everything excluding the residant doctor,, I am sorry to tell I dislike the way he talks
The Walkthrough was quite good with illuminating explanations on the questions. It gave a nice insight into how to organise one's thought before answering the questions. However, it gave very little time for the reader to consider and attempt to answer the questions.
I like very much! Go ahead! Thank you for your hard work.
The depth and meaning of terms like 'diversity' and 'professionalism' are very clearly and nicely explained. There was no part of the lecture which is worth disliking. I'd definitely want to recommend this lecture not only to the people who are aspiring to get into a Med school, but to any person who is pursuing any professional degree at the moment
These lectures are very informative and he tackles the questions at every angle. They go beyond just discussing the right answer.
Thank you Dr.Mo for the lecture, it'll help me alot.
I chose a 5 star rating because, the lecture was not "so much thrown at you in so little time" the video was explained well and was effective.
I truly wish I had known about this prior to attendance! It would have prepared me for the rigors to come.
THIS QBANK WALKTHROUGH IS TO THE POINT, YET DETAILED. VERY SIMPLE STEP BY STEP APPROACH!!! THANKS DR. OSSAREH
Awesome tips! Will watch this again a couple of times (spaced repitition)!
me gusto por que te centra en la realidad de quien eres a donde vas y el motivo por que vas a cierta direccion
Looks good with subtitles I can't wait to start now, amazing!!!!
Me parece genial lo que dice en todo momento una conferencia sin duda muy simple y directa
These lectures are excellent, simply put and provide effective keys towards getting message across to sell self through the power of creative communication. Enhanced ability to connect to audience panel /interviewer is much the same as a captivating or standout written cover letter of application live in action. It can actually apply to all fields of learning. The key is willingness to establish meaningful relationships that is worthy of consideration and attention. Like what a former mentor/superior explained to me before why I got offered a position ahead of the others despite being not among the cream of the crop in terms of grade point average: "its not about the grade anymore, its if we want to work with you."
It provides me lots of information, and I know how to get the ecfmg certification.
thanks and good job, thanks and good job, thanks and good job,
this is a friendly and very clarifying review that helps me to believe, that easiness is the criteria of the highest level of knowing, like Mr. Ahern shows it in these videos
i enjoyed it it's very informative and clear... It's inspiring and very motivational I liked it he made very thing very clear I recommend this to my friends studying pharmacy
Useful, easy to follow organised concise yet enough. I will subscribed in a while
I chose this rate because it helped me a lot for starting at my medical school. I like the way of explaining typical mistakes that most of people consider right. I'll recommend this video to friends who are going to start the medical school with me and also others who are not, because I think this course is for people who want to start with the correct ideas.
AMAZING THIS CLASS, WOW. LIKE IT VERY MUCH I SEE IN SUBTITLES 10/10
I was really need it thank you so much I will try what you said
Un amigo me recomendo, es una obra increible, grasias por ello
dynamic, knowledgeable, to the point presentation, great light for students to understand the mechanics of acceptance in medical school.
The techniques to tackle questions was explained really well. I really liked the small topic review after every question.
yuor information and type to make it, it's so interesting.
Muy buena explicación, me encantó, por qué lo hizo de manera precisa y eso fue bueno

Good. Realmente inspirador, y dice la verdad, un buen libro de anatomía para irse familiarizando.
This is hands down the best lecture for anyone starting medical school, I am now in my residency and I wish I had known this sooner! It would have made my life so much easier!
Very good case and a brilliant explanation on how to get to the answer ,I'll never forget this
Well explained, neurological eye problem due to complication of MS.
Thank you for caring in this way Quickly and understanding points for me
Great walk through! Showing different ways to rule out the same answer choice was clutch
Very nice helping information, I need to know is it possible to do graduation in Anatomy.
CLEAR, CONSISE AND EASY TO TATOOE. tHANK YOU FOR THE CLASS
it would be great and easy way to access if arranged in subjects
Really, for my perception I consider that it is based on very good arguments; in the aspect of having a firm base on the study of medicine! ... not all medical students conceive the responsibility that falls on our hands! that is why asking the question of who I am ?, leads me to think about whether I am truly prepared and have the attitudes and aptitudes to study a medical career. PSD. Considero 4 estrellas debido a la traducción del idioma español... tiene algunos errores de gramatica, y por tanto el mensaje no es muy claro para algunas perosonas. / I consider 4 stars due to the translation of the Spanish language ... it has some grammatical errors, and therefore the message is not very clear for some people.
Excellent advice to ponder on. I found this lecture helpful. Hearing the perspective of a medical professional, provides a clearer picture of what will be expected and how to prepare in advance for medical school. Thank you!
As a first year medical student, this video was really helpful.
Son muy buenos consejos y conforme avanzas en la carrera de medicina te das cuenta de toda la razón que tienes
I feel great about it as Lecturio has a great experience. I am outside medical student and I want to take USMLE
Excelente tips, I found myself already using some of them, but the whole picture of the other tips surely will improve my student life.

This video has a good information towards studying Medicine. I like it.
Excellent Class. Clear, short and consise. No more needed. Thank You
Well explained! Thank you! I was searching for any kind of information and this, was extremely helpfull.
this made my concept of germinal centre very strong! Thank you Mohammad
Good support information, a key to learning and social life. Also good advice on what to and not to study as am someone who likes to know as much as possible before starting a course.
Bravo job! Clear, concise, and honest advice. No sugar-coating and powerfully motivating. I will incorporate this advice to build higher discipline.
I would absolutely recommend this lecture to first and second years medical student (not just an MS3 student) and a prospective medical student. I am a prospective medical student applying this cycle and currently shadowing an ED physician. Most of the points that Dr. Ossareh discussed and provided examples for are very necessary as I have seen MS3 students do these things or fail to implement these actions. I must applaud Dr. Ossareh for his ability to clearly and directly addressing tips, errors, and helpful suggestions. The content in this video can be understood by anyone who is interested in successfully practicing medicine and in my opinion that makes him a wonderful educator. Someone who is genuinely passionate about relaying information to others.
Thank you for all these tips! It's so good to find a Doctors compromised with the knowledge, the medicine, and teaching your students. Thank you so much all Lecturio team also.
The lecture is amazing, the context, the information, everything is excellent, Thank you so much.
Me encantaron sus videos, es genial, me gustaría conocerlo. en persona.
It's actually a good option for pre-medical students, even if you don't really know about it, you could "learn how to learn"
Great lecture, bad Spanish autotranslation. I'd recommend it to all my friends currently trying to get to medical school but who speak English.
It's such a great video, basically is what everyone has to ask to itself, just to make sure you are doing whatever you do because you want to, not because you are told to. And shows the importance to be honest with the applications to get into med school.
AL CRECER, LLEGA UN PUNTO EN TU VIDA EN EL QUE SOLO TE PREGUNTAS A DONDE QUIERES LLEGAR O QUE QUIERES SER... PERO MUY POCAS VECES TE DETIENES A PENSAR EN ¿QUIÉN ERES TÚ? Y ESO ES LO QUE REALMENTE TE DEFINE COMO PERSONA... LO QUE REALMENTE TE LLEVARA A TUS METAS.
yes, yes, yes. beri well. yes, yes, yes. beri well
Excellent overview of the importance of premedical prep for med school. Definitely went over some important topics that I didn't assume were as important!
So far, Lecturio has been very helpful in understanding my deficits
Very good explication, i was thinking to study a lot before starting and this help me a lot to now wath to do
Please make more videos like these, it's a great way to review the material
It was a unique lecture for me. I learned different information about the medical school interviews. I also get what they test during the interviews. It was interesting. I recommend this lecture to every pre-med student.
nadie me habia dicho eso que veo que es muy importante
I like this video due to the importance of a Medical student to reflect to these type of questions and to know that being a Medical student isn't all about being smart , but rather being more diseplent to work harf .
These Qbank Walkthrough are the best videos on the website
Wonderfully tackled.Absolutely amazing. Can we have similar walk through for pathology?
Five Stars! Clear reasoning and explanations on how to think about your first year of medical school. The lectures emphasize making a realistic and sustainable study schedule, becoming a more efficient student, and how to prevent fatigue considering the daunting amount of work during medical school. Thank you!
Love the way lecturio presents this question cases and walk the student through them thoughtfully. Love it !!!
Fantástico, realmente te ayuda a tomar en cuenta muchas cosas que ni siquiera habías considerado, muchas gracias.
Extremely helpful is calming your nerves as you prepare for your first year!
All the information that Mo offered was very practical , easy to understand and follow.
I would recommend this video not only to my friends but to anyone who's trying to make their way into med school and that's because it has an amazing way of inspiring students to not only become the best version of themselves but to really focus on what's important, not just the grades but mastering the knowledge and abilities that would get them closer to being the great physicians they dream of being.
You'll get complete guidance from introduction to planning a schedule and preparation. It's very helpful. Worth your time.
Very helpful and definitely easy to add/correct to my study habits
i found it much benefice and thanck you for the efforts that you made in the video
you need to show your unique characters, and behave as an adult. Be able to convince the interviewers that you know what you need and how you can achieve it. finally, you need more than one recommendation and from doctors.
I choose this rated becase he is talking about a important thing before if you are a doctor or a nurse, YOU ARE A HUMAN and you need to know... Who are me?
This was really helpful, I am a pre-medical student from Colombia and this was really clear and easy to understand! Thanks a lot!
i think its amazing !!! somethings are pretty clear now !! hope learn more and more here, thanks to you guys .... : )
The tips were really helpful and I am really taking this lecture seriously becuase Housing, Transportation are essential and also the foundation of comfort and convenience when learning in medical school. Thanks a lot!
Medical School Year 1 is an amazing video due to Dr. Ossareh's concise and energetic way of lecturing. This video has so much great information. I highly recommend it and all of the Prpeparing for med school videos.
This is the first time that I have access to something like this, a world class medical course. I'am a engeneering student in Mexico who has to learn a range of medical concepts, but there are only a couple of physicians in my school, so I always feel a lack of mentors to learn. I think the vast majority of my classmates could benefit with the lectures in here, and everyone will love it, that´s for sure.
I can't believe I have completed 2 years of medical school without anyone explicitly discussing any of this information to my class
I remmended this site. Pay for something that will help you in one way or the other. Spend your money on your future! For me, I like this the lecturio site! Five star+++++
It gives you a lot of advices that really help. Thank you for your inspiration
ITS GREAT HELPFUL FOR ALL STUDENTS, SO NICE , SO KIND OF YOU, GOD BLESS YOU,JAY SHREE RAM
I this course gave me a clear perspective of what the application prosses is going to be like, and the important elements that I will be needing to focus on.
I'm a non-traditional applicant (over 40). What kind of advice would you give me for the interview? I'm coming from a background of health insurance, social work and education.
He is awesome, Today I´m a medical student however this question help me to find out "who am I".
It was good and to the point, not just about what exams are needed but how to go about everything.
You are my Mentor No.1! Because of you, I got to know a lot about USMLE recommended resources on Youtube by Dr. Ossareh, my first subscriber!
It's very simple and helpful for medical students. It's like a mini-orientation. Thumbs up! Cheers!
this was very helpful. good way to know how to start your year.
thanks so much infarct i am in my first year and this will help me so much
Demasiado excelente, buena conferencia me llego, me saco mi otro lado que tenia guardado no solo se trata de enfocar lo academico si no tambien lo personas
this is an essential introduction that shouldn't be skipped for aspiring med students.
Very useful advice and tips on studying effectively. It will surely help me in my study habits.
i like the way of motivate the students and the trick is very good...
I've been watching Docossareh on youtube for aaaaages! He's been helping me a LOT, specially when it comes to which resources I should use and how to study smart! THANK YOU sooo much for everything you've been doing!
This guys gives you good advices for time management to succeed in Medical school
I absolutely love these lectures, they are beneficial and had at first overwhelmed me yet it bolstered my aspirations and expectations of what to be a doctor really takes. I would recommended this to anyone who is interested in the medical field and is struggling to find how to approach it or are struggling with the material!
Excellent lessons, lots of experience totally necessary for the first step on medicine school!
i wish i had watched this video at the beginning of my first year, at the lest, its not too late now. Thank you very much. It would certainly change my life in med school.
Explained the accurate points in an appropriate way. Delivered the message in a easy manner with a clear and proper voice tone. I love it. And it is very useful. I would recommend this to any students who are willing to do medicine. Thank you sir :)
LOVED all the lectures. LOved Lecturio. I praise for it. Just 1 year left for me for the step 1
I actually just finished second year and have been using Lecturio for one year now. I happened to come across these lectures on how best to study for first year and decided to listen to them. I was pleased both to see that my approach to studying was good, and to learn additional tips and suggestions. The lecture about seeking opinions and help from mentors and seniors confirmed my experience - seek out those who offer good advice and don’t get panicked by those who feel the need to scare you. Thanks Lecturio!
Informative, Simple and to the point. Great lecture and very helpful.Thank you.
I am wondering whether you can recommend some resources that will be helpful for IMG. Like some series of textbook.
very good explanation about everything...it is going to help me a lot
its very helpful, all the points are very practical and good for future use.
I chose this rating because its very good and I like evey part of it and definitely recommend this lecture.
He reminded me that medical school doesn't just consist of grades, but also other essential components as a person.
Nice! I wish I had discovered it wile doing Pre-med in Boston it would have helped me A LOT.
Dr. Kevin said the things that, to be honest, everyone repeats back and forth in their videos. But the way they explained them all is what I thing will change everyone's, it at least changed mine, way of approaching the personal essay portion in the college application process. Thank you, Sir!
Thanks a lot. Useful lecture. I believe we have a similar testing procedure here in Bahrain. I am not sure
Thanks for the advice. I am not sure if this is the right place to mention examples of high yield books and reference books. Maybe later in other videos.
Great lectures, very good lecturer, I found these videos really helpful!!!!!!!!
I'm studying medicine in Italy (we don't take the USMLE step 1) so for me that part wasn't very useful (perhaps it'll be so in the future) but the general aspects and especially the previous course about med school year 1 were great, really helpful.
I enjoyed seen this video, because it gives me a few techniques that I can apply when studying med school.
Great advice! Wish I had seen this before starting medical school. I kept thinking I needed less sleep in order to fit everything in. The successful students I know also use the Pomodoro technique for studying. Thank you for all the suggestions and study methods.
Fantastic help! Dr. Ossareh has been a huge assistance in my prep for Step 1!
I am preparing for my third year of undergrad. This video just taught me a lot
That is great important steps for application for med school
Extremely informative. To the point especially the highlight of PTAL. I had no clue that it existed. Also, the timing of application to be completed prior to August. I will be recommending this lecture to my fellow IMGs. Thank you so much.
Very helpful, i wish i had this knowledge when i started medschool. Thank you very much
very informative and intelligent and useful. This Doctor is exceptionally informed.
Amazing, well-researched and informative lecture, thank you, Doc Ossareh!
Very helpful and thorough for the International Medical Graduates, Thank you!
The simplest yet very penetrating thoughts you've just shared with aspiring med students and to the world as a whole. It's so funny that I've encountered the question again, "Who are you?" for decades now, which I've been using way back in college years during my major in Psychology. Every time I want to know someone's name I always asked, who are you, instead of what's your name. I did that intentionally so I can get a direct yet profound answer from that person. I'm just fun of knowing someone through his or her reactions on the first encounter with me. Maybe it's part of my philosophical beings. :)
tips useful for any student..really enjoyed it. Already using them
I've just started my IB programme and this is really helpful for me to set my long-term goals. Wish me luck on my way to becoming a neurosurgeon!
VERY USEFUL GRIPS INTO THE MEDICAL PROFESSION. COULD THIS TIPS BE ALSO APPLIED IN THE UK?
This is very helpful. I didn't know where to start to begin my transition until I watched this video. Thank you!
really helpful for me tho am kinda new in USA and am working towards being a doctor
Excellent insight. Recommended for all students considering medical school or those who are already in first year of medical school.
Very clear! Good job! Thank you so much! Best luck to everyone!
everyone needs to know him self and who is he!! it's very important question, and only the answer can help everybody to find his realy destination in life .
it is very helpful to know how manage our life style
I liked DocOssareh's Youtube vids, and this was a good summary to prep for MS1
It is very research-based, clear and seems like it would be very effective and efficient
Very professional speaker which has given me the means and understanding to enter the medical field. Thank you.
Im going to study in Sweden so it is a little bit different here when going to university. Many great tips!!
he creates a learners friendly environment.uses simple English to explain hence easily understood
Definitely eased my fears for when I am starting medical school.
Easy to watch and had been struggling to cover the content, thanks, now with this method I can stay focused
As always Mo did great job. Big fan of your videos and yt channel. Glad you are here to. You inspired me for medical school after my nursing school.
First video was more useful than second. And i agree with other members on site. Lecturio should work more like khan academy.
I learned about lecturio through Dr. Mo and it has been a great year with lecturio! Thank you Dr. Mo! What a pleasure to see you here!
I am a student in New Zealand and I am currently in my last year. I definitely want to study the rest of my career in medical school. This is a great website for people who have a keen interest in going to medical school and it is very helpful too. The only problem that I see in it is the fact that it requires payments. This is mainly because we already have too many payments in university. Maybe it would be much better if the payments are reduced. But anyway it is very helpful and really does make an effect on if we actually have an interest in going to medical school. Thank you for the effort.
A wise man once asked me, "who are you?". After my initial confusion on how to respond to his question, I came to the painful, yet enlightening, realization that I truly had no idea.
I chose the rating of a five star because the videos that Dr. Ahern talked about all had helpful hints in each of them of how to study for the MCAT, what classes to take while in undergrad school to be ready for the MCAT and to get into medical school, how to fill out the applications to get into medical school and what to do and or say during the interview part of the application before getting accepted into medical school. I liked how supporting the videos were and how Dr. Ahern was being honest of what to do to get accepted into medical school. I would recommend these videos to any person who's studying and trying to get into medical school.
Because this is deep question. Not every human can answer.
Amazing by the way can you guys make this website free i mean people are trying to be the next or future health professionals of the world so please open more videos up.
Very thought provoking and inspiring, makes you think differently about the medical school process
I am student of med. uni. and tnx for your site good luck
I love the was this lecture is presented it is very clear and concise.
In less than thirty minutes, Dr. Ahern eloquently and concisely answers the questions about medical school that I have been asking different individuals for years. Never have I found such honest, helpful and informative information regarding the aspects of entering medical school that are often an afterthought (shadowing, references, personal statements, interviewing skills, etc.). Thank you for this lecture.
Amazing lectures. Simply, thank you; it has made me rethink and elaborate.
coz he tells something that i want to know about who i really am
This helps with interview questions which is advice that's quite hard to find. This helps you with some questions you should ask in order to better understand yourself.
