Dr. Raj has the ability to break down incredibly complex pathophysiologic mechanisms into easy-to-digest pieces!

Understanding that it is an introduction, so I would not expect a lot of details, assuming that there will be other videos that go more in depth. I like the update provided a little more information on Arnold Chiari than other lectures. I would have liked some animation to help illustrate.

Just reading from the slide not explaining anything at all. Could really use some illustrations to differentiate the different types of brain herniation.

I understand the point of an "introductory" lecture, but this is well below subpar. I needed detailed explanations of the various types of Spinal Cord injuries. I looked at the other video in the "series", but this is well below that of what I expect from a clinical neurology section.

I like it, but I think he need to explain more about CVA and anatomical relation . Some times I find it difficult to understand the accent.

I don't want to sound unkind, but this is not good. Not enough exact facts and description of the conditions, too many unnecessary phrases that don't help me connect with Dr. Raj and what he is trying to teach me. This was a waste of my precious time.

The name of the lecture was very contradicting to the material given. In addition, I felt that the explanation as everywhere there was no proper structure of things.

I watched it to reinforce and know a little bit more about stroke besides the information that I already read in books or articles, because in lecturio I got more facts that I don't find anywhere else. And I would recommend it to my friends in med school since you can watch the videos or answer the quiz before you read about some topic or after, so you feel sure about what you know.

Nothing about what to look for on the scan, the exact diagnosis criteria, indicitons for treatment etc.

Dr. Raj lectures are always funny This lecture is short, provides key points, easy to remember Excellent explanation for the anatomical-clinical correlation

I personally didn't found these lectures much informative, the speed of the professor is extremely slow plus the slides provided in it has more than 55 pages lot of times for a single lecture instead of compiling it in a good way. Must work with the slides provided in the download items. The lecture would be useful if it would have engaged the whole thing clinically like which le forte fracture will be associated with rhinorrhea, etc.

Lecture on this topic was clear and easy to follow. Terminology was and the appropriate to promote understanding and retention.

Provided no useful explanations on the topic and I ended up looking for information on google to understand it myself. To much joking around and too little professionalism.

Im sorry Dr Raj, I really enjoyed your cardiology series, but the neurology is subpar to put it politely. zero detail, just a bunch of bullet points and basic stuff a first year pre-med student already knows. no detail as to the pathophysiology, treatment or any of that. If I have to go back to biochem or neuroanatomy for all that then what's the point of this series?

I really enjoyed watching this lecture versus having to listen to hours of lecture on these topics.

I liked his explanation: first the context and then see the Alzheimer's itself.

Lets his need top "put on a show" get in the way of explaining things. Could perhaps benefit from some diazepam before lecturing.

Very clear and concise definitions of stroke vs TIA. I appreciate that Dr. Raj underlines the importance of TIA treatment as a risk factor for a stroke.

But it´s annoying that the Professor always says " repeat it 3 times fast " , Theres no point in doing that , if nobody could understand him in the first place . If you cant properly spell it out /pronounce it one time, it´s no use to repeat it fast.

I have watched the lecture series on the Abdominal wall and Thoracic viscera conducted by professor Craig, and he was more interactive and seemed to have greater Knowledge in those parts. This lecture is way too general and lacks many important info.

No words to describe how good are all the lectures performed by Carlo Raj. High yield, entertaining, interactive, concise.

Concise and laser focus on the high yield facts. Lectures are interspersed with witty humor which does not stray from the subject matter. Refreshing.

I find that I get used to her style, I wish that all the courses be taught by her

I liked it very much as an introduction to CVA and to bring it all together. I watched the entire series before studying with textbooks to fill in the blanks. Carlo Raj is making sure I know what's important. If you expected to be finished with CVA after watching a few videos you will be disappointed no matter what you choose to watch.

sometimes i don't like when he reading. it's feel like someone reading and i have to listen. i want him teach with his own words and talk without his script. anyway i thinks he summarizes very good and easy to understand.

Unfortunately, the lecturer for the anatomy module has disappointed me. Whereas the lecturers in all other modules appear to be amazing, this lecturer speaks way too slow and with a boring tone. I have to listen to the lectures in 1.5x..

Very well-explained and thus helpful lectures! Also, the images are better than anywhere else.

Watching these is clearer, more concise, and far more efficient than going to any of my lectures. I easily learn in 5-10 minutes of watching Dr Raj what I would struggle to pick up in an hour of lectures at medschool.

First of all, love the option to choose the speed of the video clip. Secondly, it was smartly taught, no matter which type you are, from visual to auditory-learner, you are going to understand and learn it easily. I also loved Dr. Fisher's (the lecturer) teaching style, brief description for medical terms, mentioning important DDx, plus his tone and not having specific accent.

I would have love to learn further about the criteria for performing a head CT eg Canadian Head CT Criteria or others that may be appropriate to guide decision for head CT

I really enjoyed the lectures on CNS infection, very comprehensive and knowledge delivered at a good level. I particularly loved the personal clinical reflections. I will never forget the story about the patient with bread mold infection of the face! Wow!

Good talk on the topic but could be improved by discussion management and when you may consider surgical evacuation vs watch and wait. Also no mention of chronic subdural haematoma.

I'm not sure if this topic will be covered in neurosurg but serious detail lacking. First of all no definition what a raised ICP is and how best to diagnose. No clear explanation of the underlying cause ie mass effect (tumour, abscess), vascular (hypoxia, hypercapnia, venous flow obstruction), hydrocephalus (obstructive vs none), pseudotumor cerebri. It would have been useful to discuss shunts in the treatment as well and when you may consider inserting them

Again a really comprehensive coverage of this topic. I would like in the future for a discussion regarding the use of mini-mental state examinations as it is an important part of the work up of a patient with memory impairment. I was surprised not hear about the cautious use of neuroleptics in Lewy body dementia. I would have like to learn more about the clinical utility of neuroimaging and when you would use them? Finally, It would have also been good to tackle prion disease

Good summary of the topic but would have been also good further discuss some of the immunosuppresive agents and fingolimod. In the dx workup section the use of MRI was also omitted

Not sure if there will further talks on haemorrhagic stroke but significant omissions evident. For example target for BP lowering, discussion of management of complications incl vasopasm, raised ICP, seziure prevention. Work up of patient wasn't clear ie the use of lumbar punctures in high clinical suspicions but ct equivocal

I enjoyed the series on ischaemic stroke but it would have been great to discuss in more depth the secondary management of stroke in particular blood pressure targets and agents with the most supportive evidence for use (e.g ACE-I). I also note that there was an omission about the best way to manage BP in the acutely hypertensive patient post stroke. Despite theses as always good taster of the topic. I appreciate the challenge of work that goes into producing these contents
