Brain World: Neurohistology (EN)
Von Dr. Dr. Damir del Monte (2)
The most complex organ system and the most important control system of the human body is the nervous system. The nervous tissue, in turn, is the specific tissue of which the nervous system is composed. This lecture lays the foundation for understanding the nervous system by explaining the structure of the nervous system in a clear and understandable way and introducing all the important building blocks of nervous tissue: the nerve cells (neurons) as well as the numerous glial cells, represented by the Schwann cells, oligodendrocytes, astrocytes, microglia and ependymal cells. Historical excursions, bridges to practical application and clinical practice, as well as a clear systematization of the subject matter, not only increase learning pleasure and efficiency, but also provide a valuable basis for neuroanatomy at the same time.
