I really enjoy watching these videos. The way dr. Pickering chops the information into little pieces to make it easier to comprehend. I also think he puts more emphasis on the structures that are clinically relevant. It's great how he uses the illustrations to guide us through the structures, however the quality of the illustrations are very poor and too small.

I think the videos are too short. Most of them are about 1 or 2 minutes. I think it make it hard to focus while studying, it would be much better if videos where usually about 10_20 minutes. Also I feel there is a lack of a feature just inverse of bookmatcher. I mean it would be great if after watching a series of videos for example videos of rectus sheath I could find out which pages of Grey's anatomy or Netter atlas of anatomy I can study to deepen my knowledge.

The parts that the lecturer points to are not marked/pointed at/ highlighted in the video. Thus students (like myself) get lost and dont know what (part of the image) the lecturer is specifically talking about. This comments refers to all this series about the male sexual organ.

However, sometimes the bigger perspective should always be kept and mentioned throughout the lectures. There are times when I "lose sight of the forest for the trees". Explanations are simple, comprehensive and concise. I would recommend this to students who are struggling with Anatomy during med school days. I was able to appreciate Anatomy more through the lectures in Lecturio.

Since there was a confusion regarding the actions of ocular muscles versus the cardinal gazes of movement when examining the intactness of ocular muscles, the video regarding this topic should be updated. And examples of exam questions pertaining between the difference of the two should be given. But overall, it was a good review!

Clear presentation AND good selection of figures to show both a. and v. circulation. It is an added plus that all figures have the names in latin and not English. In other of the anatomy videos (i.e. upper limb, brain) the names in English, whereas keeping it in latin is more international than English and makes us all think that we are treating a scientific topic with a long history. Keeping it in latin makes i more clear and less ambiguous than English. Keep names of anatomical structures in latin in you Lecturio lectures.

I did like this course but in some cases, I wish the images were larger as I had to keep referring back to my netter because the ones shown were not clear enough. I also wish that the professor show the movements when talking about what action each muscle does, whether through a picture or just simply showing them himself.

I've previously used the Grey's student to learn about the pelvis and perineum. Despite all the information provided I was unable to visualize and understand the placement of structures. This video explains and shows very clearly the relationship of the muscles and organs in the pelvis with the perineum. Another amazing lecture.

Not very good. He's just spouting out facts, sounds like he's probably reading from a teleprompter.

I consider it a ery shallow lecture, with very little info about costal attachemnts of the intercostal muscles, they don even show a sagital cut of the ribs to understand better the intercostal muscle attachemnts and origin.

Anatomy is explained best with annotated images and pointers on the various parts as the lecturer speaks. Not through tabulation of facts.

I started taking these classes beforehand since our course is only gonna start at Sept ao thought of studying something beforehand so I don't sit clueless once the classes begin. it's highly helpful and very well organized to follow even though you don't know anything about the topics .it everything from the basics in great detail and that's why I followed the lectures using the free trial.i do wish to access the rest of the lectures but since it requires payment I pulled back since I'm not currently that financially sound to make the payment since the college fee requires a lot of money.i wish I had free access to all the lectures .I've searched for good lectures online and I find lecturio the most promising online lecture class with precisely organized manner of classes and slides and even the diagram s and 3d models.hoping for more from you .at least make some more videos open to free access.a request from a beginner student.with lots of gratitude Been

I personally didn't found these lectures much informative, the speed of the professor is extremely slow plus the slides provided in it has more than 55 pages lot of times for a single lecture instead of compiling it in a good way. Must work with the slides provided in the download items. The lecture would be useful if it would have engaged the whole thing clinically like which le forte fracture will be associated with rhinorrhea, etc.

Dr. Pickering's lectures are great. He focuses on what's important and everything is exceptionally well organized. The only thing I would add to the lectures is various mnemonics available for the upper limb.

Dr. Canby explains the thoracic viscera very clearly. His pacing is good, and he makes sure to organize knowledge in a sensible way that is easy to learn.

Good brief overview of the knee joint but I wish the lecturer would have gone more in-depth about the menisci, and the rotational and translational movements of the knee.

similar to Upper Limb; layout & structure of course is quite good. concise & detailed. but the images & diagrams used truly do have very small labels, often making them useful. The lecturer uses the cursor here and then but thats not conducive to great learning either. you really need to be visualising these structures in a large & clear format. Another point would be to include some mnemonics! it is no secret that these are one of the most useful tools for anatomy students in remembering complex structures, so why omit them? a final criticism is that it just lacks some more clinical relevance.

The lecture is great, really informative, loved it. The quiz has one of the questions as, what structure is NOT located within the sinus and the answer is given as ureter when the answer should be the calyx. As the ureter passes through the hilum and out the sinus, but the calyx does not exit the kidney.

Dr. Pickering is one of my favorite instructors on Lecturio! He's always clear and concise; while not leaving anything overlooked. My university professor nervously breezed through this material due to the nature of these topics, which left most of us confused and irritated. More jokes then learning. I was really only able to understand via this lecture series. I'm truly grateful Lecturio exists and I feel so much more confident heading into my examination.

I actually disagree with the above. Definitely really easy to follow, especially with the colour changes on the diagrams. It is, after all, an anatomy lecture and he teaches in a way that does allow you to think contextually for yourself without being super explicit about it. Thanks James

I have watched the lecture series on the Abdominal wall and Thoracic viscera conducted by professor Craig, and he was more interactive and seemed to have greater Knowledge in those parts. This lecture is way too general and lacks many important info.

I found this lecture to be clear, concise and suitable as a complement to lectures, textbook and cadaver work. Could you make the diagrams and their labels a bit larger, as they are difficult to see on smartphone, and there is no zoom facility.

I chose this rating because the structures the Lecturer is describing are unclear and difficult to follow. If the instructure had better visualization--such as highlighting the veins as he spoke--that would help immensley. An additional thing that would have helped is to have a visual summary of which veins feed into which at the end of the segment so the students could organize the vein tributaries better in their minds. I like the over all information, it just needs to be presented better.

Definitely benefitted from the lectures. Just a small note, even when putting the video on HD and full screen, the writing is too small and blurry to see the labelled parts of various anatomical structures. Hope the resolution can be increased or labels increased in size.

James used very small images that were of limited value and simply read what was on his slides which had very scant detail. No further elaboration or clinical relevance accompanied his explanations. I have gone to another resource for anatomy as I found my understanding was not stronger after having listened to his lectures.

This is one of excellent style of teaching skills and experiences. I recommend students and medical doctors who need to pass a qualifying exam to subscribe and finish all course work.

i like it because it teaches me about the regions of the neck and other things also i want to know more about the triangle of the neck

Very easy to follow, i like the length of the videos, I think they are more productive, very good foundation and supplement to my school's curriculum. For the most, Lecturio's professors usually outperform my school's professors at presenting material.

I wish this is more about anatomy and less about diereses, as I am in this class right now for my primary objective I need to know the names of every muscles, every bones, what they do, every nerve, what they innervate, and every veins and arteries, also lymphatic and different glands in your faces the videos do not provide enough details and topics I am currently using Clinically Oriented Anatomy 7th Edition by Kieth L. Moore, comparing the knowledge from the book these videos give you almost nothing

No such thing as the "internal" oblique. It's called the inferior oblique. Also, should state whether these are primary or secondary actions of the muscle.

Unfortunately, the lecturer for the anatomy module has disappointed me. Whereas the lecturers in all other modules appear to be amazing, this lecturer speaks way too slow and with a boring tone. I have to listen to the lectures in 1.5x..

I thought this lecture series was very simple and informative, easy to understand but thorough. I appreciate the pneumonic provided, as well as the transcript notes available So we could go back and look and write things down as needed- I Was happy that the teacher spoke clearly and slowly, and that each segment was not very long so that you were able to take time to contemplate information before moving on.

Fantastic! It’s like you’ve melted the fear away for me! I can watch over and over and over until I can nearly repeat it word for word. Sometimes when you study you can know something but in a multiple choice question (MCQ) situation later you can be stumped - while I found the sentences are in my head and it’s like being able to check the lecture! For the slide about the lumbar nerves, only subcostal (T12) is listed. It would be helpful to list other nerves, such as iliohypogastric (T?) and ilioinguinal (T?).

I learned alot from listening to the lecturer. The information was given in a simplified manner and that was great. The concepts I needed to know and focus I was outlined

I learn better by listening and visualizing. So these lecturio lecture videos helps me a lot. Reading the text book after watching these is way better than trying to learn from the textbook alone. Also these video lectures aren't boring. they are very interesting. If someone is struggling to learn anatomy on their own, then I'd really recommend this for them.

I was going to give it a five stars but in the lecture you said during respiration the heart moves down and up but in the quiz the right answer was up and down..

Dr. Canby provides clear and concise discussion with regard to head and neck anatomy. This has proven to be a great secondary resource for my studies. As an M.D. student, the amount of information is vast, and these lectures provide a great supplement to my university materials. The most effective way I have found to use this material is by viewing the videos that correlate to my current coursework, completing the recall questions, and then reading through the associated articles that are provided throughout the course.

It is good but still needs to be improved. For exsampel if the teachers used the 3D figurs to explain, lecturs would be more cleare. Sometimes only picturs are not enough.

I certainly liked the video format, where we can adjust the focus from the speaker to the slide, and use the cursor to aid in pinpointing the relevant aspects of the scapula. The only thing I found was missing was a little aside about the suprascapular notch, which was shown in the slide, but not alluded to in the actual video lecture!

The diagrams used had labels that were not in English. So that was really disappointing since it was difficult to go through the PDF files without the lecture. Also.. it would be really helpful if the lecturers used larger and more clear diagrams. And use pens or highlighters when referring to the diagram. Other than that, the course so far is good.

Best lecture ever, I never thought I'd be able to understand brachial plexus

Well Dr Pickering has presented the subject in such a lucid and organised manner that it becomes impossible not to fall in love with it and become dexterous in it at the same time. It was a wonderful experience with the upper limb. Hope I have the same fun with the lower limb!

good lecture- lost a star because illustrations are in latin. I do appreciate latin is completely acceptable to use in the context of anatomy, but in practice nobody uses latin terms and it feels outdated and counter-productive to learn the latin nomenclature. It would be much easier to follow if everything was in english ; a small point but it did slow me down when following this lecture.

The video quality is quite good and I like the way the topic is presented. I would definitely recommend this to my friends in medical school. I guess the font could be larger and thicker though.

Why am I rating this lecture at all? I had to pause a video just to wrote this review because I was just so grateful that it was broken down so well with the schematic diagram. I was feeling overwhelmed with the amount of information in the blood supply and wondering if there was a way i can get it down quickly and have the concept clear in my mind. These schematics are awesome and are saving my medical life right now!!!!

I love Lecturio Anatomy lectures because everything that you see it's better and easy to learn. When I see all the names in the ATLAS I'm stressed, but then, when I watch lecturio it's easy because they explain you everything step by step not only theoretically!

Though I wouldn't want to hurt the instructors feelings, I think the concepts are all included, but his ability to convey the information in a coherent, and appealing matter are lacking. Anyone can just read you the concept and put slide after slide, but there is a finesse to the presentation of material. If every lecturer could have that finesse, this would be the most incredible resource for medical students around the world.

I would like in the questions, a rationale of the answer goes directly to the part of the lecture where it is explained. Like an option would be great

Overall great, but is missing much of the details in the skull (for example names of the specific bones, features of the bones, etc.) and head in general.

A clear and concise overview of the fascial spaces. However, I think the coverage of the surgical access to the trachea was way too superficial. Details of the levels of relevant anatomical zones, and how to locate these areas in a clinical manner would've been greatly appreciated. Otherwise very useful!

Whilst useful for a brief introduction, I do not feel the lecturio anatomy programme in general provides sufficient detail to be a main-line resource. The videos are too brief and superficial in content to adequately prepare a student for internal examinations, let alone to an NBME standard. The presentation itself is clear and ok.

great to come to this site and explore everything.it helped me a lot in my exam .its is agreat benefit to me

it is extremely general and does not provide the important notes about the gland like its blood suplly, innervation and details about what could be damaged if a thyrodectomy was preformed wrongly.

As a newly qualified paramedic, the lectures are assisting me in going into much more detail and understand deeper the anatomy and physiology of the body, allowing for a more detailed assessment yet still responsive within emergency care situations.

The course brings the general ideia of the anatomy content with interesting clinical correlations. Although, the lectures could be more detailed, specially in vascular anatomy. I also suggest more precise images.

Great lecturer and keeps it simple with step by step. Also his slides are very simple yet thorough thereby not confusing the student with too much content per slide.

Since anatomy is a very difficult subject and very vast, I think that Canby does an excellent job at slowing down and being concise. This lecture hits all the key points as well as ask relevant questions to help retain the information.

Lectures on Anatomy of the Heart was more concise, very comphrensible and corresponded with Last Anatomy textbook. Upper Limb Lectures wasn't as concise as Lectures on The Thorax( Heart). But I am very grateful to Lecturio for making my learning more simplified....

I liked the lectures very much . The in-depth classification of bones,muscles and associated systems surely was great. The clarity in voice and imaging helped me understand a great deal on appendicular skeleton . Everything is covered very well and in a comprehensive manner, but coverage of thoracic osteology is missing. There is also no lecture about the muscles surrounding the thoracic area.

I picked this rate because he gives detail about the neck and parts of the neck. I really like this for a 9th grader it's helping me learn more for med school. Please do more videos, not just for me, but for people that want to be something when they make it to med school or college. This website is very helpful in many ways like: when you are on the way to school and your have a test about the human body, or when you just want to study for a test a week or two away. I plan to keep using this website for important chooses in my life. I want to be able to help people with their problems and give them information. I don't want to go home and be that one person with a dream and not go for it. My teacher just used Netter pics and said good luck but Dr. Pickering made it approachable and effective by going through each section and giving clear and effective explanation to complex matters.

I think this is one of the best courses to review any topic in medicine, they have the best teachers, the best topics and the best explanations! it is like being in the best university of the whole world!. I do not want to stop studying;-)
