Dr. Tim Niesen
Dr. Tim Niesen ist Senior Manager bei AdEx Partners mit Schwerpunkt auf KI-Strategie. Mit über zehn Jahren Erfahrung in Beratung und Projektleitung in den Bereichen Data & Analytics, Künstliche Intelligenz und digitale Transformation unterstützt er Unternehmen verschiedenster Branchen bei der Entwicklung und Umsetzung datengetriebener Lösungen – von Machine Learning bis hin zur Prozessoptimierung.Sein Fokus liegt auf der strategischen Nutzung von KI zur Effizienzsteigerung und fundierten Entscheidungsunterstützung in Geschäftsprozessen.
Zuvor war er als Researcher am Deutschen Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) in Saarbrücken tätig. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte umfassten insbesondere digitale Reifegradmodelle im Kontext Künstlicher Intelligenz sowie die Analyse von Geschäftsprozessen mittels Process Mining.
Als promovierter Wirtschaftsinformatiker verbindet Tim Niesen wissenschaftliche Expertise mit praxisnaher Umsetzung. Er ist regelmäßig als Speaker, Dozent und Fachautor aktiv und veröffentlicht zu den Themen KI, Skills der Zukunft und Geschäftsprozessmanagement. Darüber hinaus ist er als Lehrbeauftragter an Universitäten und Fachhochschulen in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz tätig.
Dr. Tim Niesen is a Senior Manager at AdEx Partners, specializing in AI strategy. With over ten years of experience in consulting and project management in the fields of data and analytics, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation, he supports companies across a wide range of industries in developing and implementing data-driven solutions—from machine learning to process optimization.
His focus is on the strategic use of AI to increase efficiency and provide evidence-based decision support in business processes.
Previously, he worked as a researcher at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) in Saarbrücken. His research focused in particular on digital maturity models in the context of artificial intelligence, as well as the analysis of business processes using process mining.
With a Ph.D. in Business Informatics, Tim Niesen combines scientific expertise with practical implementation. He is regularly active as a speaker, lecturer, and author, publishing on topics such as AI, future skills, and business process management. In addition, he serves as a lecturer at universities and universities of applied sciences in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
