Dr. Jill Beavers-Kirby is a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Bicycle Health Clinic in Arizona, USA.
She obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Ohio State University in 2011. Currently, she works with individuals with lymphoma and leukemia, and is an author, speaker, and health advocate in the areas of addiction medicine, primary care, hematology/oncology, critical care, clinical research, nursing education, and leadership.

 Joseph Alpert, MD

Joseph Alpert, MD

Dr. Joseph Alpert is the Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Director of Coronary Care and Medical Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation at the University of Arizona (UA) College of Medicine, USA.
He obtained his Medical Degree cum laude from Harvard Medical School in 1969. Currently, he is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Association of Professors of Medicine, and Editor-in-Chief of The American Journal of Medicine.
Due to his achievements, he earned the Gifted Teacher Award from the American College of Cardiology in 2004.
Within Lecturio, Dr. Alpert teaches courses on Cardiology and the Cardiac System.

 Paul Moss, PhD, OBE, FMed, FRCPath

Paul Moss, PhD, OBE, FMed, FRCPath

Dr. Paul Moss is Professor of Hematology within the Institute of Immunology and Immunotherapy at the University of Birmingham, UK, and Deputy Head of the College of Medical and Dental Sciences.
He studied Medical Sciences at the University of Cambridge and was a fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists. During the coronavirus pandemic, he has been leading the UK Coronavirus Immunology Consortium (UK-CIC).
Dr. Moss makes substantial contributions to teaching both within the University of Birmingham and beyond.

 Jeremy Brown, PhD, MRCP(UK), MBBS

Jeremy Brown, PhD, MRCP(UK), MBBS

Professor Jeremy Brown is a Professor of Respiratory Infection at the University College of London (UCL) in England, UK.
He obtained his PhD in molecular microbiology from the University of London in 1999. Currently, he is a Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant at UCL, and Lead Teacher for respiratory medicine undergraduate teaching at the University College London Hospitals (UCLH).
Due to his achievements, he obtained a Welcome Advanced Research Fellowship for further scientific training at the University of Adelaide. He has also led internationally respected research programs in pneumonia prevention and antibiotic resistance.
Within Lecturio, Dr. Brown teaches courses on Respiratory Medicine and Pulmonology.

 Brian Warriner, MD, FRCPC

Brian Warriner, MD, FRCPC

Dr. Brian Warriner was the Head of the Department of Anesthesia at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and an active clinician and teacher in the UBC Faculty of Medicine.
He obtained his MD from the University of British Columbia, Canada, in 1980. He was a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada’s exam board in anesthesiology, and worked at Mulago Hospital and Makerere University in Uganda as a health system accreditor/surveyor for Accreditation Canada.
Due to his achievements, he earned the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society Clinical Practitioner Award in 2019.
Within Lecturio, Dr. Warriner taught courses on Anesthesiology. He retired from clinical practice in 2016 and sadly passed away in 2019.

Jessica Reuter

Jessica Reuter, formerly Spellman, is Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice at the Ohio State University (OSU) College of Nursing, in Ohio, USA.
She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Nursing Administration from Otterbein College in 2004 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kent State University.
Currently, she teaches in the undergraduate nursing program at OSU and implements the OR specialty elective at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center.

Kristine Pfendt, RN, MSN, is an Associate Professor at Northern Kentucky University (NKU) and was awarded tenure status in 2010.
She obtained her Masters of Science from Northern Illinois University in 1980. She co-founded and directed the Nurse Advocacy Center for the Underserved at NKU and was the chairperson of the Reappointment, Promotion and Tenure Committee for the Department of Nursing.
A passionate teacher, Kristine Pfendt has also worked at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center as an education specialist.

She obtained her PhD from Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) in 2019. Currently, she works as an independent contractor Medical Compliance Manager, establishing federal, state and local standards of nursing policies in clinics.
She has worked as a Research Assistant at IU Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health.

Diana Shenefield, PhD

Dr. Diana Shenefield is an Associate Clinical Professor, and (Interim) Director of Nursing at Northern Arizona University (NAU) in Arizona, USA.
She obtained her PhD in Nursing Education from Capella University, Minnesota in 2012. Formerly, she was Assistant Director CEP, RN-BSN, and PL at Northern Arizona University (NAU) from 2018 to 2020.
She is a member of the National League of Nurses, and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
Within Lecturio, Dr. Shenefield teaches courses on Mental Health (Nursing) and Physiological Integrity (Nursing).

Anne Vanderputten is the Clinical Manager at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Ohio.
She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate of Science in Nursing, and MSN/MBA in Nursing Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. She has worked as a registered nurse, trauma center house supervisor, and Director at Lindner Center of HOPE.
Because of her achievements, she has earned FEMA, ACLS, and EKG Interpretation certifications.

 Vincent Racaniello, PhD

Vincent Racaniello, PhD

Dr. Vincent Racaniello is a Higgins Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at Columbia University, in New York, USA.
He obtained his PhD at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, in New York City, in 1979 and joined the faculty of Columbia University in 1982.
Because of his achievements, he has received several awards, including the Irma T. Hirschl, Searle Scholars Program, Eli Lilly, and NIH Merit Awards. Dr. Racaniello is interested in using new media for medical education; he writes on his virology blog and hosts and produces several podcasts.

Cardiology is a very important matter, patients use to be very ill and medical decisions has to be well oriented. Prof Alpert has the hability to explain slowly, well oriented way and insist in what we see in practice. thank you so much.
