Acute Neurologic Disorders (Nursing) (release in progress)

by Rhonda Lawes, PhD, RN

Neurological disorders, conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, and nerves, can develop rapidly and have significant detrimental effects. This course provides an overview on different acute neurological disorders, including their presentation, diagnosis, and treatment.

Prior knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the neurological system is necessary to ensure a robust understanding of the material covered in this course.

Due to the often rapid onset of neurological disorders and the potentially devastating effects of delayed treatment, it is essential for every nurse to have a thorough understanding of common neurological disorders regardless of where they practice.
