Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs)

by Carlo Raj, MD

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are bacterial, viral, or parasitic disease processes transmitted through sexual contact. Some of the most common infections are human immunodeficiency virus, gonorrhea, chlamydia, genital herpes, human papillomavirus, trichomoniasis, and syphilis. STDs affect all types of people and can be prevented with proper education and barrier control. To provide effective treatment, a clinician should have sufficient knowledge to be comfortable discussing these diseases with patients.

Makes lecturio a great resource for anything except pathology
By Marco-Aurelio D. on 13. August 2022 for Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV)

Everything that he did needs to be redone in my opinion. Any other resource is better than this.

By Sahand G. on 28. November 2020 for Haemophilus Ducreyi – Morphology

Lectures need work!
By Sara D. on 15. January 2019 for Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs)

These lectures are overly simplified and too short so they don't provide enough or even any detail on the organism, diagnosis, presentation, and treatment. Seemed like a waist of my time to even listen to these. Lengthen the videos and they will become more useful.

We need more details on diagnostic and therapy
By Amin A. on 21. March 2018 for Gonorrhea

the more jokes the better. Keep it up . We need more details on diagnostic and therapy
