By Zohra D. on 12. November 2023 for Pneumonia: Diagnosis
Well-explained, well-organized, and easily comprehensible. It covers all the important information in detail, labs, DD, assessment of severity.
Great summary of the most important facts and more.
By Marco-Aurelio D. on 30. September 2022 for Bronchitis and Pneumonia: Summary
Good Lecturer, professional appearance, good selection of high yield topics, combined with simple but important explanations on key physiopathological issues. Great experience.
He cannot teach
By Malakamir M. on 04. September 2021 for Respiratory Tract Infections: Introduction
If we compare his lectures with others’, we can find that as if there is a text in front of him and he read it simply. With all respect, his accent is not very comprehensive or I am not familiar with it. I have to read the subtitles to understand what he said. Secondly, there is not any exam question type or cases. If he explained the topics through some developing questions, I think it was better.
calificacion.

Excellent lecture. Crystal-clear on all levels. It gives me the confidence to have an informed opinion on Pertussis next time it comes in the differential diagnosis.

Excellent lecture. Really helps to dispel all the myths around M. pneumoniae. It does really seems like management is going to change in the upcoming years regarding this disease.
Excellent lecture
By Jalil Z. on 29. July 2020 for Community-acquired Pneumonia (CAP): Management
Excellent lecture as usual from a master teacher. The most important points about management are highlighted. It would have been great to hear the teacher's opinion about PO vs IV treatment, indications of drainage in case of empyema/abscess. Otherwise, I particularly liked the part about which vaccinations, why they are preventing pneumonia. Very well stressed I think. I'm going to use this when discussing with parents.
Excellent lecture
By Jalil Z. on 29. July 2020 for Community-acquired Pneumonia (CAP): Pathology, Diagnosis, Signs & Symptoms
Excellent lecture. One of the best lecture, along those on Asthma and bronchiolitis. Tons of pearls and clear explanations for decision-making for the practicing clinicians.

Excellent Lecture! - Poor Subtitles
By Daniel C. on 14. May 2019 for Community-acquired Pneumonia (CAP): Pathology, Diagnosis, Signs & Symptoms
I would like subtitles in spanish in the lecture. The automated subtitles are mistranslated.
However Dr. Brian Alverson is very clear in his explanations !
