00:00 So let's wrap up this video series. PDE5 inhibitors like sildenafil usually known as Viagra is a drug used to treat erectile dysfunction. Now at this point circle it, star it because I want you to always remember that you don't give any PDE5 inhibitor with nitrates because the risk to your patient could be life-threatening, can cause a significant drop in blood pressure. So you know it as a nurse but be meticulous in making sure your patients understand this risk with PDE5 inhibitors.

00:37 Now the other group of drugs, we're talking about 5-alpha reductase inhibitors, we're dealing with BPH. We use those for BPH and this group of drugs they shrink the prostate epithelial cells but they take months for results. Alpha-1 adrenergic antagonist like tamsulosin, they relax the smooth muscle. So this will decrease the dynamic urethral obstruction but results happen much quicker than the 5-a- reductase inhibitors. They'll see results in days or weeks. So when you're picking between which one to use, we always recommend combination therapy so using drugs from both groups is much more effective for treating BPH than monotherapy. Thank you for watching our video today.
