Welcome to the pharmacology course by Lecturio.
Today's lecture is gonna cover coagulation.
00:08
Before we start the lecture, I just want to mention
that you don't need to know brand names for your exams.
00:14
I know that generally speaking we talk about brand names,
but you don't need to know them
because they're useful in real practice, but they vary from
region to region, and from time and place.
00:25
So, don't worry about the brand names,
just focus on the generic names of these drugs.
00:30
We're going to divide up the coagulation drugs,
but into those drugs that are used in clotting.
00:35
That includes the anticlotting drugs, which are the
antiplatelets, the thrombolytics and the anticoagulant drugs.
00:42
And those drugs that actually promote blood clots, or facilitate
clotting, and these are the drugs that are listed here.
The lecture Overview: Coagulant Drugs by Pravin Shukle, MD is from the course Pharmacology of Blood Coagulation.
Which of the following drug classes may show a procoagulant effect?
