Dissociative disorders are characterized by the afflicted person experiencing an involuntary feeling of disconnection from their thoughts, actions, memories, identity, and surroundings. Such disorders usually develop as a reaction to trauma, helping to keep difficult memories at bay. Specific symptoms depend in part on the type of dissociative disorder. Times of stress can temporarily worsen symptoms, making them more obvious. Treatment for dissociative disorders may include talk therapy (psychotherapy) and medication. Although treating dissociative disorders can be difficult, many people learn new ways of coping and lead healthy, productive lives.

Uptodate and beautifully explained. Providing contrast between primary and secondary gain.
Thanks to Dr Farrell, I finally got a handle on this. I am very happy with the course content and quality of the work put in. Thanks
I love her lectures. Her speech is deliberate, well-paced, easy to understand her content, even when it is complex material.
The subjects are clearly and concisely presented. Can’t be better
