00:01 So let's wrap up this part of the video series.

00:03 Example of a normal range for creatinine clearance is between 97 and a 137, for males, little bit lower for females 88 and 128 for females.

00:14 Urine creatinine is also called the creatinine clearance test.

00:19 So when you see it ordered as a urine creatinine, you'll know that's what we'll be doing.

00:24 That's different than when we talk about a serum creatinine test referring to your blood.

00:29 Okay so urine creatinine requires a complete and we've talked about that 24-hour urine sample that must be kept cold at all times.

00:37 I know it's a little weird but you want to limit bacterial growth.

00:42 Healthy kidneys should maintain a normal range of creatinine, elevated creatinine indicates a renal problem.

00:49 That we're going to have to follow up with further assessment and there are several possible acute and chronic causes.

00:56 Thank you for watching our video today.
