    00:01 So, let's take a case and see how well you're doing with pacemakers.

    00:05 Here's a 77-year-old man, he had a pacemaker implanted at another hospital, and he can't find the card he was given which said what type of pacemaker he received.

    00:15 Now, he's being seen at your hospital, you'd like to know what kind of pacemaker he has so you can talk to it through the skin with a specific program that's made for that pacemaker.

    00:25 So, I want you to look at this EKG or his ECG and tell me what kind of pacemaker did the patient receive.

    00:33 Here's the ECG. Think about it for a moment. Think about where the spikes are.

    00:45 There are two spikes: one for the atrium and one for the ventricle.

    00:49 So, this is an atrial and ventricular dual chamber pacemaker. This is a DDD pacemaker.
