Both Dr. Sean Elliot and Vincent Racaniello are awesome. Both of them provide key information of microbiology. The presentations are clear and easy to remember

The classes are short covering usually one topic at a time. This allows more to learn the material easily.

Excellent lectures. Racaniello is very concise, knowledgeable and interesting. Visuals in lectures good too. Pace is at optimum speed and duration of each lecture in a nice digestible package. Content is of adequate depth - not too simplistic and not too complicated. Sequencing seems to be a little off though, with questions appearing before video. First virus video seems to talk about Baltimore classification as if already covered, so I’m not sure if sequencing of videos is correct either.

It gave me all the information I needed. Plus the videos were updated to COVID-19. I definitely recommend this to all health care workers

Mr Racaniello explained viral genetics very well in this course, however clinical diseases (measles, mumps, hepatitis viruses, etc) were not mentioned. Most importantly, HIV was not discussed.

A very difficult topic which is highly volatile to forget, but lecture does his best to keep us informed

the explanation is very clear, the scientific names are pronounced very well and the illustrations are standing out.

The lectures are well organised and gives you a basic understanding of viruses and how different types of viruses replicates in the host cell but it doesn't talk about the individual viruses, pathogenesis and the diseases caused by the individual viruses.

First time I get to understand the various confusing genomes. wonderful

The course is not sufficient in clinical settings. Very theory into research , yet less in diagnosing . Good for a student into research PhD, yet not for students doing medical degree or USMLE.

I'd like if you add a specific explanation about the main types of viruses and diseases caused by them like you did with fungi, parassites and bacteria
