I wish there were more foundational details included. I think Dr. Cornwall presented the material with the expectation that the listener already has a solid foundation in genetics.

Unfortunately, Dr Cornwall confuses an already confusing topic. Waste of time that i don't have

I understand that medical genetics is a difficult course to review but improvements are definitely needed in the following areas: 1. State and simplify definitions. Too often i need to refer to Google for a more basic explanation. 2. Please stop assuming basic knowledge is still fresh. I haven't study genetics in 7 years and i have forgotten EVERYTHING! So, along the way and with each new concept please give some foundational information.

The parts that the lecturer points to are not marked/pointed at/ highlighted in the video. Thus students (like myself) get lost and dont know what (part of the image) the lecturer is specifically talking about. This comments refers to all this series about the male sexual organ.

i found it concise and informative that allows me to waste less time going through the textbook.

I use Emery’s Elements of Medical Genetics 15th edition as primary study material, which i recommend for anyone to use. I decided to take this course as a supplement and ended up confused and annoyed. Simple learning objectives of this course lectures are harder to understand due to poor explanation and as far as i can tell the professor seems stressed, disoriented and confused herself. Lectures need a rework. Despite that, the articles are pretty good and helpful, PowerPoint slides are useful to an extend.

The introduction provided me with the basic concepts of genetics

The objective was to mention which diseases are AR and it was covered correctly

Great lecture. Everything is great about this lecture: the questions and the reasons them, the differential diagnosis, the labs and imaging. Explanations are clear and after that lecture I feel more confident to diagnose possible causes of hematuria.

Excellent lecture as usual. However, I would have liked to see the different sensitivities and specifities per analysis (leuco-esterase, blood, etc.) and altogether (leuco+blood, etc.) as can be found in Nelson's or other sources. All in all, I learned new things, thanks!

I would recommend this lecture to someone who has a rough idea of thoracic anatomy as well. This lecture was easy to follow and it made me understand the subject much better.

Wonderful examples of the Hardy Weinberg principle. The exercise is explained step by step and is understandable in the first explanation.

Gives you the basis and covers the necessary topics for a good understanding .

This particular class video is not very helpful at all. I feel like genomic imprinting can be explained more efficiently and more clearly than what is portrayed in the video.

I needed an update on genetic like this one, i like the way is shown every part and all the details within, i recomend this article to everybody.

Doctor Raj is very clear in his explanations. This has helped a lot.

lectures are very exciting and informative provided someone have basic knowledge of genetics. With reference to USMLE, I am afraid to say that is it is helping.

Its hard to pay attention on her lectures because she always pauses to read her notes.

Dr. James' explanation was very clear. The pictures in the lecture could have been a bit bigger but overall it was delivered very well.

Shouldn't be popping back and forth between disorders- makes for very jumbled learning. Should talk through this disease in full then move on.

i don't know but sometimes its very difficult for me to follow lecturer and i get confused with interchangeable terminologies but great job overall.

The course didn't deliver the main message I was searching for. I hoped to find a more concise and direct material for each topic. The Genetic Course did not help at all for what I was searching. I was hoping for high-yield topics and a more direct delivery of the material. We have too little time.
