I have really learned. Before, I was wondering why study, or cram all those pathways and enzymes. How Professor Kevin Ahern explains and bring out concepts, Oh my God so great. He was born a teacher and just polished by learning! He never leaves behind any one, even the slow learners can pick, because once one understands the basic, the necessary complex facts can be understood quite faster! I am now thinking of mastering in Biochemistry, besides my goal of Internal medicine. To be the best Physician, Biochemistry I have understood is one of the vital tools! In my Nursing practice, we lost a 10 yr old male with Liver Cirrhosis from a liver disease, which was diagnosed in early age. Now, I am thinking of a Deficiency of the Transaldolase enzyme!! Ahh save for my little knowledge! Kind regards!
Really a great and elaborate presentation. Thanks Prof. Kevin. Now I no longer struggle in cramming Biochemistry but rather find the subject interesting. I wish I started using your lecture guide early in Medical school, but any way not yet late! Thank you once again.
Very dense lecture. Maybe a bit too in-depth in some places, but excellent discussion about the importance of carbohydrates and the key enzymes and reactions that underly the process.
Awesome lectures by Sir. he explain every step and every single reaction with detail thank u.
I can easily follow the sequence of information. The important details are also emphasized, making it easier for recall.
I really like the explanations and detailed structures used. The structures make it easier to understand.
Very clear and easy to understand. I enjoyed the visuals.
Professor Kevin make it enjoyable course; It helped not only in remembering many info that I forgot in the class, but also I did learn many new valuable information. The fact that the explanation provided by Dr. Kevin is so easy to understand and memorize, make this course very interesting.

The explanation about the carbs are very clear and detail. Which make easier for any student and professor to better understand the carbs, their pathway, and the enzymes that work in those pathways.
Concepts are very good and explanation is amazing. I'm in love with it
One of the best teachers in Lecturio my personal favourite class
I haven’t seen such an amazing teacher in my life My most favourite teacher
Awesome review , covering all the important concepts with clear explanation
Amazing Dr. Kevin! Thank you very much for this course!
Yes, hormones and their transduction signals are important like a cardiac conduction system starting form the Sino-atrial node (SA) finishing in the Purkinjie fibres . I mean Hormones and signal transduction are really well explained by a doctor doctor Kevin Ahern . He has been presenting the most complicated part of the medicine course so well. In terms of pregnant patient for example who does need an extra attention and management as they go though various hormonal changes while caring out pregnancy and delivery tasks. I cant thank enough for his contribution . I much appreciated.

They give clear explanations on all topics in such a way that it is easier to grasp. I personally enjoy learning more about a particular topic and Lecturio is the perfect platform to do that as well. I highly recommend Lecturio to all students for better understanding of relevant topics.
Thank you so much This video helped me so much en my sesions of study
I honestly had a lot of fun listening to Professor Ahern. You can tell he is really passionate about Biochem. I learned a lot. Great course if you're interested in understanding aspects of the metabolic pathways conceptually while appreciating the details/context that enrich your understanding of them and how they are interrelated.
I like that Dr. Ahern's way of presenting the topics is informative and does not make me sleep. Usually, our classes make us feel drowsy because of too much information. It helped me understand the concepts more and I was less distracted.
Thank you Dr. Ahern for this very comprehensive lecture. Going through the biochem book makes this topic very complicated. It is amazing how you can simplify this topic to get to the point and what we actually need to understand.
Comprehensive course with exemplary format & teaching style to explain core concepts.
fast confusing order of explaining Its not like it simlifies anything the way its explained is quite fast and confusing very mono tone
Its excellent because there is more physical and clinical correlation and enzyme mechanism simplified
I noticed that there weren't any lectures on mineral metabolism in the library. I think students would really appreciate it if you made a module on this topic as it has a lot of biomedical importance and some relevant diseases are associated with it.
La verdad es que es muy buen curso, el ponente explica demasiado bien y me gusto mucho qué hay actualizaciones
Each and every concept is explained with each lecture it has helped me in getting to know things well rather than just learning.
Dr. Ahern pointed out very interesting aspects like heat generation/high energy of PEP and the 2,3-BPG production. Maybe I wasn't paying attention the first time I learned about glycolysis, but this extra integrative information it makes this step easier to remember. Actually, in generally, these human focused biochemistry lectures, are easier to digest, since when I learned it originally, it was mixed with plant and microbial biochem.
Prof Ahern explains very well & makes the key steps/enzymes memorable (eg PEP is full of pep!)
So good explications with a nice and simple way . I really appreciate your effort .
It's unfathomable how much this lecture has saved my time. Though I would appreciate a quick-summary of the products turning into intermediates for other cycles. Like with how g-1-p turns into g-6-p
The lecture simplified glycogenesis to extreme simplicity. It truly helped save around 30 minutes from my lecture, by providing adequate information
very clear explanations and the questions helped me understand the content
It's good, informative not as detailed as I need it to be but it's a good framework to build on
This lecture is amazing and I loved the explanation regarding the conformational change of hexocinase during the reaction.
Teacher speak slowly to help me understand Glucose in my body
me gusto muchísimo lo recomiendo a todo el mundo que quiera saber mas
Excellent breakdown of key topics and very easy to follow.
Whenever I get confused about a pathway, I come to watch these videos and it helps tremendously. Thank you for what you do.
I find the teaching style to be effective and well planned. I use lecturio for supplimenting the topics taught in my classes
Very insightful and brilliant explanation. I learned very much in this lecture! School professor just skip much of the importance in PPP!
This videos are amazing, the professor is excellent and his explications are clear
He is a very Good Teacher as he teaches as if he was narrating a story.
Amazing explanation made me understand the concept clearly in a short time
Great professor. Has almost everything needed for my course in Biochemistry.
The topics were categorized and explained well with good examples
Muy buen docente, se nota que le apasiona su profesion y la ejerce con entusiasmo.
A huge thank you to Prof Ahern! You explanations are very easy to understand and your lectures are a huge help to get a better understanding of biochemistry topics. Thank you very much!
I like Dr. Ahern's lectures, I think he is the best in this program. He's very straight forward, precise, concise and connects different points related to what he's talking. After seen these videos I went ahead and did a q-bank of a different program and nailed the ones related to this thanks to his lecture. Some people need to keep in mind that these lectures are not going to cover every single detail, but unlike lectures from others study courses, they do cover more than the basics. For broader information with specific details you definitely need to read textbooks (e.g. Guyton, Robbins, Harrison's) and " google" it up.
Really good discussion. I would love Dr. Ahern to by my mentor
The explanation is cristal clear with examples and illustrations. Good picture of ARN structure.
I couldn't follow this lecture - it was not presented well at all.
I have taken biochem as an undergrad, grad. and post grad and I've never had anyone explain things as clearly. Dr. Ahern is one of the best teachers I've ever encountered. Thank you!
A+ teaching style and delivery thank you Dr Ahern for making a difficult topic easier to digest
The video helped me understanding this topic with visual representation
Was very clear just speak very quickly, then I have to repeat the lesson to understand complete anyway its not important, I would like just when speaking about the oncogenes give some examples about the food that causes
This lecture was explained super clear and to the point. Thank you!
Clearly explanations, every piece of knowledge that prof. Ahem shares with listeners is facilely absorbed and stays in the mind.
thanks for your helpful for the all lovers of education
amazing ! thank you so much dear dr.Ahern , i was always scared of biochemistry ,but its the first time i finally get to understand it and i owe it all to you. My committee exam will be in two weeks and im hoping to finish this course plus few more lectures from fat metabolism course. also special thanks to lecturio for preparing such a great learning system opportunity for us.
concise and straight to the point, exactly what I was looking for
I'll just say thank you very very very very much!!!
informative course, to the point, easy to follow and understand, quiz questions are interesting
Love him so far, clear concise and to the point and also very enlightening
prof Ahern is wonderful and funny! enjoyed all his lectures
This entire series is the most eloquent and beautiful explanation of a terrible terrible subject like biochemistry I have ever seen to attended
Hello Dr. Ahern. Your lectures were phenomenal, but for several of the lectures the slides did not correspond with your lecture (they were of totally different topics) or they changed midway into into unrelated biochemistry topics. It may be best to review them and adjust the errors. However, your presentation was so so good that I was easily able to follow your lectures with the downloaded lecture slides.
Had so much difficulty learning the enzymes on the pathways. This way was easy to understand it!!
Understood the lecture clearly. Very impressed by how clearly he explains things.
He explains it very well and at a good speed. He doesn't use to many difficult words so if your first language isn't english it's still possible to understand. Also whenever you have a question he answers quickly en thouroughly.
Great lecturer very knowledgeable of subject matter at an admirable pace. Needed this in depth type of lecture in med school because signal transduction in med-school was highly schematic . Good job
Great lecturer very knowledgeable of subject matter at an admirable pace. Needed this in depth type of lecture in med sch. Good job

Prof Kevin Ahern makes even a complex signaling process easy to understand and the association with day to day events. I have loved his other lectures too. I literally used to hate biochemistry but now I’m enjoying it and that is why I have given his lectures 5 stars
very good outline and examples given in a step by step manner. Getting to like biochemisrty after years of putting this subject aside. Thank you.
It is very concise and practical it helps me a lot to understand in an easy way the collagen process.
This guy just knows his stuff, on point even with the speed of his speech he has mastered his slides. I almost got scared with the previous lecture in genetics but he managed to bring me back home. Very knowledgeable keep up the good work and add more clinical correlations.
It was simply amazing. The knowledge I got exposed to was simply clear cut and delivered by an expert in layman's literature. I am keen to absorb more of Mr. Kevin Ahern's lectures.
The lectures are nice, simple & very well explained. I would definitely recommend this course to my friends!
Batalle mucho para entnder mis clases pero con estén curso tengo un mejor dominio de el metabolismo y me permitió realizar una presentacion del tema ????
the lectures is shallow; i think that more details are needed. it is ineffectual for the level required from the biochemestry course of the Med University of Florence. cordially gioia
Recommend this course to any medical students doing pre/clinical Helps with pathways and understanding breakdown.
Excellent! Well delivered and full of quality information. Totally recommend this course.
The best professor! He makes everything easier. Very good lectures.
The subject is really hard... but the professor is excellent!
Thank you Dr Ahern! Thanks to your clear and nice explanations With integrations I am finally starting to understand Biochem! You make difficult things look so simple and enhances the importance and intelligence of mother nature in our human bodies
Incredibly good! I have spent hours studying from the book and this is by far the most helpful in terms of deep, meaningful understanding of the subject.
Very clear summary. Would like to see more clinical correlations made.
it was perfect and describe a part of endocrine system very well.
I subscribe because of this professor. Great lectures and explanation. Nice job
Thank you Dr. Kevin Ahern!!! Sometimes you speak so fast, but these time was perfect :)
Great professor, great explanations. This video was like a summary of important parts.
Exactly what I needed. Straightforward and to the point. Linearly organized.
Hello though I learnt new things by the good explanation of the pathway but I will be happy if there could be mnemonics to remember then easily. Thanks
