Brainspotting: Special Saving Package

Dr. David Grand talked about his conversations with Dr. Damir del Monte in recent trainings. I have been watching for this material. This lecture sequence is superb and my understanding of the neuroscience of trauma and healing trauma, as well as the theory of how Brainspotting are enhanced and expanded. Thank you both. I was not able to attend the live presentation, but purchased the video series online. The slides show in the bottom right of the presentation and this is helpful in tracking the material, but they are a bit small and it is hard to really study the slides along the way. It would be helpful if the slide show was also available for those of us who are visually challenged. Is there any chance of getting access to the slides so I can see them better and study closer? This is my only critique - thanks again for this material. Looking forward to seeing how the research verifies or challenges these concepts.

Der Kurs ist lebendig sehr anschaulich dargestellte Inhalte. Es wäre schön, die Unterlagen im Downlload zu bekommen. Wenn ich mitschreibe und nicht auf die Zeit achte ist der Kursteil abrupt zu Ende und die Mitschrift nicht mehr speicherbar. Das ist ärgerlich.

I wasn't able to go to that seminar in Amsterdam but heard it was interesting so i bought this course. Dr. Del Monte is a fantastic speaker. Clear and simple

Dr Damir del Monte's videos on Neurobiology is considered to be of world class. He truly has the gift of presenting, keeping his audience captured. I can very strongly recommend these videos by Dr del Monte for any student / practitioner who directly or indirectly works with the brain and who needs a deeper insight into Neurobiology. As a psychologist working with Brainspotting (developed by Dr David Grand), I consider Dr del Monte's videos a must see to understand the deeper intricacies of the functioning of the brain and in particular the Neurophysiology behind this amazing discovery by Dr Mark Grand. Very highly recommended.

Hervorragender kompetenter Vortragender Dr. Damir del Monte, der eine Kapazität in der europäischen wie weltweiten Gehirnforschung ist. Der Vortrag unterstützt durch englische Übersetzung, ermöglicht auch einem größeren Publikum in den Genuss des State of the Art Wissens zu gelangen. Dr. del Monte versteht es die Komplexität des Gebiets didaktisch herausragend zu präsentieren und gleichzeitig die nötige Demut vor dem Umfang mit zu transportieren. in diesem Vortrag gelingt es Dr. del Monte wie keinem anderen eine Brücke zu schlagen zwischen den aktuell wichtigsten und angesagtesten Theorien und Hypothesen zu den Themen Komplexität und Netzwerke des Gehirns, Neuroanatomie, Neurochemie und Neurobiologie des Traumas, Stress, Polyvagaltheorie nach Porges u.v.a.; zudem unternimmt der Referent den wagemutigen Versuch, auf einem anspruchsvollen Level neurobiologische Grundlagen der Wirkungsweise von "Brainspotting" auszuloten. Die Grafiken sind meisterlich inszeniert ("Neuro-Kunst"), sehr präzise und die Erklärungen, die Dr. del Monte in seiner bekannt mitreißend-fesselnden und empathischen Art vorbringt, einprägsam, instruktiv und spannend zugleich. Ein großartiges Video für alle Neuro-Begeisterten und ein "Muss" für alle Brainspotting-, EMDR- und SE-Therapeuten! Absolute Empfehlung.

Wie kein zweiter schafft es Dr. del Monte mal wieder komplexe Strukturen zu vermitteln, ohne, dass man auf der Strecke bleibt. Auch wenn die Zweisprachigkeit des Videos teilweise anstrengend ist, lohnt es sich doch, Dr. del Monte voller Aufmerksamkeit zuzuhören. Mit der für ihn schon bekannten Lebendigkeit und seinem Enthusiasmus erschafft er ein Lernklima, von dem man einfach begeistert sein muss.

I am delighted to have Damir del Monte’s videos “Stress, Trauma and Pain in Brain and Body, Neurobiology for Trauma- and Brainspotting Therapists” recorded in Dec. 2006. I was fortunate enough to attend the live seminar and find these videos so helpful in reviewing and adding to my learning at that time. The videos are excellent visual quality with a little insert of the PowerPoint slide Damir is speaking about in the right corner of the video screen – this is very helpful for seeing clearly what Damir is referencing in his lecture. The sound quality is also excellent and German to English translation is just as good as being there in person. And, of course, the content is incomparable. Damir’s explanations of the functioning of the brain are clear and simply brilliant. He takes us through the four functional levels he has defined, 1. Brainstem and Diencephalon, 2. Basal Ganglia , Hippocampus and Amygdala, 3. Limbic Cortex, 4. Neocortex. Each is explicated with detailed information about the working systems and the most detailed drawings of parts of the brain as I have never seen them before including an amazing enlarged view of the hypothalamus and reticular formation. Dr. del Monte’s style of teaching is so engaging that it is easy to listen and learn about material that could otherwise feel very dry, technical and overwhelming – it is like watching an entertaining performance that just happens to have all you need to know about the Reticular Formation, Autonomic centers and PAG, neuromodulators, HPA-axis, Porges Polyvagal Theory and more. This is a “must have” for any Brainspotting Therapist and trauma focused therapist, and is appropriate for anyone in the mental health field who wants to know more about the workings of the brain for their own understanding and for client education. I appreciate Dr. del Monte and Mr. Bohr making this most helpful learning tool available at an affordable price and with such precision and detail to make this easy for the student of the brain. There is no other program on the brain quite like Dr. del Monte’s.
